I was taught to reflect at uni, what feels like a hundred years ago. I’ve gotten back into the habit and i feel like its helped, but im so tired. im so tired of looking back, always turning back to my mistakes. i want to look forward.

sickness, death and hurt. something that attacks you, may it be mentally of physically, until you can’t think of anything else.

Turning out a dish that makes your own mouth water is the best kind of food you can churn out. The best cooks are those who are aware of tastes, textures and the finer nuances of cooking.

Cooking a meal by using fire is one way of doing it. But then one can also grill, bake or just put a whole lot of stuff and just toss them with a little bit of garnish.

Keep it simple. Keep it nutritious. Have a great meal!

He tugged furiously on the zipper of her shirt, hands trailing down desperately onto her hips –

and she thinks –

‘so urgent, so much hate, so much love’

we are more than fuck buddies, aren’t we, my love?

Electricity. Everything hurts.

The sky is pale gray, and streaks of lightning strikes across the sky.

He laughs.

This is perfection.

I’m think about the day I’ll leave the nest. Whenever it crosses my mind I can feel some paralyzing fear in my stomach but I can feel the anticipatory excitement in my heart. I can’t wait to spread my wings and fly away from here.

Your favorite swing that you would always go to in the park, The swing and you are like best friends. You go so high and jump. The underdogs were my favorite as a kid. My swing was yellow.

Towns are where everyone comes together. Everyone knows everyone. There’s that one ice shop or hang out spot everyone goes to where sometimes a treat will be “on the house”. Towns are small with friendly people.

he had stacks all over the place, stacks of books and papers, it was hard to see anything around them. his library was just as full. erik was afraid to take any more steps in case he toppled any of them. he could see now why charles couldnt come here any more. they really had to look at organizing something for him.

so thin, like it’s inconsequential in the end. the only thing tying so many things together, and yet so fragile. sometimes i wonder if these strings of fate are leading us or showing us that life is what you make of it.

Everytime I say goodbye to my family at the station, I get sad.

» Posted By sera On 06.15.2011 @ 5:53 am

funerals are always sad, people cry, but most people want their own funerals to be happy. i don’t think i mind either way, as long as i’m remembered.

A montage of records came flying out the window like frisbees. I ducked just as one skimmed past my head. Another hit me square in the knee. “WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!??” I shouted as I made my way towards the main door of the apartment complex. There was a brief buzz and I snatched the handle of the door in time to open it. Thank God for her sense of humor and my excellent timing. I was in.

Jon loved being in the dark room. That’s where he went to think. It was just him, and his pictures. It was awesome to be able to see things come into focus right in front of him. It was a like a reflection of his thoughts finally becoming clear too.

it was her job. she filed reports to things that happened. it was fun for a while, to see all the things people did, all the adventures they got to, knowing they had a happy ending. but after a while she got tiered, she wanted to be out there, she wanted to be the one having those adventures

she hated spiders. it was irrational, she knew, they were small and mostly non poisonous and she could do more damage to their feeble bodies then they could to her. she thins its something to do with the way they looked though.

she was never really into sports, she never understood the need for it, running around like that, getting excited about a ball. not until she was in a stadium, with another 75000 fans, all cheering for the same thing that she understood, that she saw the passion, the atmosphere. it was just like being at a concert.

route is such a strange word. so analytical, as if there is
only one way to go somewhere. the fastest, or the shortest, like a
GPS, when actually the journey is half the fun.

Luck is something that does not exist. People confuse coincidences with luck. Shit happens. Sometimes, good. Sometimes, bad. The good is labeled as luck. That’s bullshit. There is no deeper meaning.

it was so obvious, now she comes to think about it. its true, shes never felt this way about a boy or a girl, but she always knew that this one was special.

i learnt a way of turning paperclips into heart shapes recently. i do that to all the paperclips i find. it annoyed the people i worked with, but i dont care, i like being able to share a little bit of love, a little heart when i can, and pass it out to people.

» Posted By Sera On 12.23.2010 @ 3:38 am

i love paperclips. the clippy thingys and the how you can make them into angels and stuff. i have purple paperclips and i really like them . my friend shanika has multicolored ones, too. i <3 them. clip

it was such a terrible word. people didn’t like it, it meant they didn’t want you, didn’t want anything to do with you. but i prefer rejection. i like knowing they don’t want to do this instead of just waiting around for something to change when it won’t, instead of wasting my time and theirs.

They say that if you were a pessimist you can never be an optimist, can never change, but that not true, that CAN’T be true, she had to believe that.

And it’s not like she was stupidly optimistic, she was a realistic optimist, which worked out well for her. There was always a silver lining.

they say its symbolic, where it stands on the mountain, but no one ever says what its supposed to symbolize. she knew the truth though, too bad no body every asked.

Her mother had always taught her that just because it was easy doesnt make it right. in fact the easy ways can sometimes be so wrong. she had to learn that the hard way though.

» Posted By Sera On 12.15.2010 @ 11:02 pm

it wasn’t wrong what she was doing, she was sure. it just wasn’t exactly right either. and of course, it was the easy way out. theres always next time?

the sheets were still rumpled but he couldn’t bring himself to do anything about it. He knew they still smelled like her skin and her perfume and he didn’t want to lose that.

She’s always wanted to collect something, and why not? Stamps were as good as any. Except for the fact that nobody ever sent normal or ‘snail’ mail anymore. They all depended on email, and what was the fun in that?
