static

The inside of the hotel room was silent, not a person moved through the dusty interior. She walked up to an old desk and rang the bell. It chirped quietly, but for the most part seemed to be broken. After a minute and old man emerged from the door behind the desk.

reverence

She was on her kneew, the folds in her skirt making creases in her legs. The sun-washed figure in front of her stood still, mocking her pleading with its stony indifference. She bowed down again, forehead touching the floor. All she could think was, Please let her live—don’t leave me all alone.
Again and again she di this, hoping and praying, for if her sister was gone, she would be all alone.

collapse

The sky fell above her—stars and moon and clouds all came, shattering, to the ground. The little girl walked on the moonbeam ridden beach and picked at all of the twinkling lights. When she was finished, she smiled at the bright stars clustered in her palms.

welcoming

She crossed her arms in the doorway, waiting for him to speak.
“I’m sorry.” He looked down at his brown leather shoes, shameful tears, glistening in his eyes.
Her shoulders fell as she sighed, disappointed yet again.

juvenile

“Daddy, look,” she cried. “It’s a jubedile!.”
Oh god, not again. He peered into the rafters, and, sure enough, two yellows peered back at him.
“Run inside and get Mommy, okay?”
The little girl skipped, her flowered dress twirling in the dry air. The man grabbed his phone and looked up the number for the exterminator to get rid of the “jubedile”.

flea

I hops along, twirling and flipping through the air.
On the trapeze it glides. It walks above the lions cage on a tight rope. The clowns pedal by on their unicycles, and everybody laughs
It is the flea circus.

checkmate

Checkmate. I don’t know how to do that. I can come close to it, but never completing it. That’s the story of my life. Never finishing anything.

» Posted By Rach On 04.23.2013 @ 4:58 pm

I don’t know how to do that. I can make kinda hard situations, and check, but completely finishing is hard. I don’t know how to close things. To be finished. Finite situations.

conjured

As witch in this school it is my job to learn how to conjure all sorts of things. Not very easy. Have you ever tried to conjure an apple out of thin air. No? i didn’t think so. It tooks days and weeks of practice before I could create the perfect apple. It was either rotten, bruised or full of worms. I was a failure as a witch.

necessity

Necessity is defined as something needed for life to be valuable. There is a song called ‘The Bear Necessities’ from the Jungle Book that pretty much sums it up.

museum

It was dark, and and very creepy. We were creeping around the museum at midnight. Not a good thing to do. We could hear a whole lot of commotion coming from inside, then we hear the window smash, and see some burglurs escaping the guards. I put my leg out and trip the douche before he could get much further. The next thing we see is the guard running towards the shattered glass. “Father daughter effort” he smiled at me, then at my friends. If anyone could help Dad, he just knew, it would be me, and my trusty crew.

horses

I used to love horses, and that is no exageration. I would have loved to own one, my cousins do, those lucky buggers. When I look at a horse Jumping, I see something strong, majestic, and beautiful. I can’t say much more than that. I simply Loved horses.. Back then.

stunning

I looked up at the man beside me. Simply stunning he was. Why he would like a girl like me, is beyond me. We looked into eachothers eyes, as he took me hand and swept me over to the dancefloor. Together we moved almost flawlessly across the dancefloor, scoring annoying glancers form the other dancers. Then, just like at all weddings in my family, the chicken dance played. I glanced around the room for my best friend. Finially I found her, but not as I expected. She was making out with the best man. Jackson and I moved over to the maid of honour and the best man. We stood there, just looking at them. Whitney looked up to see us. “We were just saying how stunning you look” she whispered breathlessly. Brad nodded and the grabbed Whitney’s hand and took her into the centre of the dancers.

“She is right you know” Jackson whispered in my ear, “…you are absolutely stunning” he said as he swirled me back into the commotion of dancers.

study

I was ment to study, but I couldn’t get my brain to focus enough. I looked at the page before me, and read the words, but they didn’t leave the slightest bit of meaning behind. I checked the date, 29th November, I have my economics exam tomorrow. My last exam. I didn’t lmow how I would do, especially if I can’t focus enough to study now!!

laughter

I sat in class and laughed uncontrobably. I couldn’t help it. It was soo hard not too. The presentation Sasha gave about ET being real just blew me away. It’s not fault she is a hard believer in the unbelievable. Her father worked for the government in the “Secret Service” I say secret cause no one was ment to know.. But over the last six years, my family has become her family and her family mine. It happens when you get that close to someone. I looked around the class, they were also laughing at Sasha. She made it hard not too; she died her hair red just for the presentation, and she was a long “Hippy Style” dress that flowed down to her ankles.

flare

I felt it,
I know you did too,
when we touched,
there was a flare.

It was a spark,
it burned so bright.
What was I to do?

But say three words,
that’ll let you know,
just how much,
I love you so.

So don’t forget,
one moment,
that spark,
that flare.

advice

“here it is.”
the advice could impact hundreds of lives, or just mine. who knows? i didn’t know how this advice might impact my kids, my grand kids. or just me.
“just do it. don’t think about it.”
so i listened. and here i am, wishing hard that i had not followed this particularly nasty piece of advice.
it’s too late now.
