My daughter is so obsessed with this rapper that just died recently. He didn’t talk to her. He wasn’t a part of her life. I had never heard her talk about him before. But when he died she went ballistic. How is she so upset about a man that had no real connection to her? I’m stumped and don’t want to be an ass to her about it but…

I believe angels are all around us protecting, hoping to guide us in the right direction. There are angels surrounding Gods throne in awe and worshiping Him. They can’t understand us as humans, why we don’t realize how blessed we are to be sons of God

Smog is a smoky mess over highly polluted cities especially those that are in a hollow of hills that traps the pollution in. Smog is also a good name for a fire-breathing dragon that would possibly eat a Hobbit.

Roast chicken is pretty good to be honest. i’m picturing a roast chicken like the kind you can get at costco or sam’s club or Albertsons’. The kind that just sits under a really hot lamp, waiting for someone to come by and take it home to eat it. I think my favorite part is probably the thigh or leg.

Turbine spinning in my mind
always wondering what I’d find
If for a moment it ceased to spin
what forbidden thoughts might enter in
So I used to stand right in the breeze
amidst the bending of the trees
sleepwalking through my life with ease
oh turbine….you need to freeze!
as I fall to my knees
help me up if you please
it seems I’ve suddenly found my keys!

The framework for living is hard to find. One is born; then you start growing. Parents put limitations on what you can do. That’s part of the framework. Some people, my parents included, use the Bible as the ultimate framework.

Mayor stands for a person in authority, the head of the local council. However, it also stands for a plaza, the main plaza in a Spanish town. Very curious. I wonder if there is a connection between the two, the mayor being a person of authority and the square being a place of authority.

with a quiet fizz
at least unrecognizable
the cap came off of the bottle that had been sitting in the top shelf of the closet for years
that had been put on so tightly..years and years before…
so long ago that it was forgotten that there even was a cap there…
nevermind a bottle
Anyone too close to the contents of that bottle….that had been sitting…gurgling…ready to explode in the heat
that was generated by the closed door
in the darkness
Standing too close
Was impacted by the explosion
as she scrambled
To contain the content of this bomb
She realized that the cap was destroyed
Never to be put on again
So she waited
For the contents to settle
Before approaching the bottle
That lay open
Amidst a puddle
On the living room floor
for all to see
took a deep breath
about the loss

if a reporter were to ask me right now how I’m feeling….once that deep wave of sadness washed over and I could utter words of truth without drowning…I’d tell them that I will still let myself feel joy..and ask them to pass a life jacket…to keep me afloat until I can swim pain free someday…because I could sit here and drown with pain…or I could open my eyes and force myself to look at the sunset…while it’s still above the horizon…and hopefully the beauty of the sunset will be enough to keep me looking forward…

“Just the facts ma’am. Just the facts.”
“Is there truly such a thing as a fact?” she asked, her eyebrow slightly raised.
“Clearly. Or I would not have a job,” the reporter mumbled, not amused at her attempts to avoid the discussion.
“I think that you’re wrong.”
“Is that a fact?”
“You tell me.”
“Now…on the night in question…what happened?”
“ That depends upon your perspective.”
He slammed down his crumpled notebook. “Listen we have to face the facts here,” he grumbled, his piercing gaze seering into her unflinching eyes.
“How can you ‘face” something that comes from within?”
He knew that it was going to be a long night.

tasting the sweetness of silence she smiled
cause she hadn’t been alone in a very long while
alone but not lonely…much to her surprise
a peace unfolded right before her eyes
the fight or flight left
anxiety did too
she remembered whom she was
her kids saw that too
though her actions were judged
understanding would unfold
she knew that it would
cause there’s a current of truth
that flows through the air
right in front of our noses
… so unaware?
tasting the sweetness of truth
she pressed on
into this mystery
both here and beyond…

so she took off her shades…
walked down the red carpet…accepted the awards because everyone’s minds were clearly already made up
and accepted that no one can ever fully understand another human being…and that made all the difference…
