The gun held in his hand, he muttered to me, “Any last words?”
I looked down the barrel of the sniper he was holding and said, “You’re holding the gun wrong.”
He just stared. Then a bang. Everything went dark.

minute of time, minute detail, the shiny thing you see on a a photograph that makes you think of some happy time in the past that made you smile but even that is gone, it’s so long gone and over it belongs to another person and it can’t help you through today. even the happy memories of yesterdays are just speedbumps today, measuring all the things your haven’t done and all the peoople you haven’t been.

Your head, filled with a winding and twisted ball of thoughts like something a kitten has batted about and unravlled and now you find yourself tugging desperately on the end of your throughts, trying to find your way back sanity as it all comes undone.

October sun and warm and halloween and the end of all things. The night and the dark and the unseen and that feeling in the air – I swear to Christ you can feel it when the veil is thin. I think if I woke up after years of sleep I could feel it. And one of these times is in october ad the other is in the spring, right when the seasons are really chaging, when you can feel it like a ball at the top of a hill just before it rolls off. That’s what it feels like outside – magic.

Sandals resorts – a vacation I’ll never take and maybe one I should never want. Maybe the easy acquisition of everything you think you want, of every desire gifted to you, isn’t such a good thing after all. Maybe the wages of too much halcyon zombie comfort are death, rather than sin, after all.

In the event of a water landing, chances are we’ll break up just as surely as if we had landed on a runway, flaming and screaming and rushing salt water to bring pain to your wounds. And if we’re lucky, there will be sharks to clean up our mess, to carry away the blood and gore of man’s hubris in the face of maintenance schedules and drunk driving records.

Don’t have to do it.
What is wrong with western education that for so many people, you give them a word to free-associate on, and they just give you the definition?
Maybe it’s a funciton of our brains, our need to categorize and classify things as soon as we see them, a basic outgrowth of fight or flight – is this something that’s going to eat me, or can I eat it?

A passport is your proof of existence and it says that you exist and you are allowed to travel. A passport is sometimes metaphorically used to decribe something that invokes something else. Passport to the past. Hmmm, invokes is a much more interesting word and why is it so often that when presented with a word as a prompt we fall into definition, as though this were a quiz, a mental refuge, a place to hide from actually thinking something freeform and new.

battery is it power or is an attempt to hurt someone or is a charge you get from sitting in nature and thinking, looking, letting natures slide over you with the way things ought to be in a world full of what is. Is fantasy somethig we store up or is it something that powers us, runs down as we get old? Is wonder at the world a power or a weakness? And how would you tell?

Misunderstood is what its like when your brain doesn’t quite work like everyone else’s when your thoughts tend to go in a direction slightly off-angle to everyone else and sometimes you wonder if their logic is a conspiracy, if they all really do come to the same comclusions or if they’re just faking it, they all got the answers in advance somehow and they’re laughing behind their hands at you.
