Grab the wheel and steer. That was a song, way back when, and ironically I remember listening to it whilst driving. And now I am here, just going along with what other people decide, with their steering wheels, cuz mine is just a pretend kiddie one. perpetually in the passenger’s seat. It’s time, I am tired.

Grab the steering wheel and go – why am I so afraid? Why do other people judge me so much when I decide to do it? I don’t have a car though, attached to this wheel, just a sad skeleton without wheels. How am I supposed to go anywhere? So many metaphors, the cars, the direction, the gasoline and lack thereof. Where he steers, I have been following. So tired.

Gavin was a difficult person to teach. Geoff could write out the instructions in painstaking detail and the brit would still manage to forget or misinterpret one of them. That was, unless, Geoff did the instruction himself.

you need a gameplan. you’re told- repeatedly. well, screw it. you’re gonna wing this whole damn thing, just you watch. you’ll do better than those nerds who spent thirteen years or whatever preparing for this. you’re gonna kick some butt with absolutely no experience.

I used to think I was the only one who could handle a gun in this town until you came around. You sly fucker, you. With your cigarette scented hair, rough palms, and drunken pick-up lines because you think you’re cool for some reason. I recall seeing you shoot a man in the back alley that Thursday night. No screams, only the silenced bang of bullet to skull collision and the splattering noise of blood on the mildewed walls. I don’t believe I was surprised, but I saw your eyes glow in the dark for the first time, and while I hate to admit it, part of me wants to see that again. You look better covered in red than all that leather you like to wear.

Smoothies are yummy. I like to make them with yogurt and fruit. My daughter likes when I make her smoothies. We slurp them together. Slurping smoothies is a lot of fun. I sometimes put veggies in them like kale or spinach. I don’t like when I can taste the vegigies.

she walked past him. he glanced back at her. she didn’t think anything more of it. he did the opposite. he thought about her all day; the way she walked, the way her dress swayed, the smell of her perfume. She was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen and he never stopped thinking about her.

It is hard to believe that we are related when we live like total strangers. None of us have any kind of real bond other than biology. This is not how we were raised, but it is our go to method for living our lives separately. Guilt. no communication. fear. hiding.

“Okay. Today is a dual class.” the teacher spoke firmly. It was not everyday that the two different classrooms would be put together to learn one amazing thing. But that is actually what was going on. They seemed unsure of how to even do this, but with the teacher’s help, everyone did a good job and had fun.

So there it was. The prettiest statue in all of the world. At least, in little Tina’s eyes. She never saw anything like it before, but she thinks this is the best thing in the world. The statue was of a young lady. she was hugging a basket close. What was inside? Tina liked to think it was flowers.

“Tell me, now!” The man said angrily. The two children were standing in front of a ruined dog house. The man who owned the dog, was very upset. “We don’t know what happened.” The man didn’t believe them. “Proof. You need proof in order for me to accept your innocence.” They didn’t know what to do.

“Alright! We have to peel off all the paint from the front door!” Alex’s father said. The children, plus Alex, saluted and said, “Aye, aye!” they all got to work, kneeling down and scratching at the door. In just an hour, the door was peeled of paint. Afterwords, the entire group painted it a pretty blue. That was team work!

It was almost five minutes ago, but Adam wanted that banana peeled. After all, he was hungry. But no matter what he tried, the fruit would not open. What was WRONG with it? This was ridiculous and completely insane. The boy told his mother about this, and she said that is something she cannot deal with. the banana is too old. It was never opened.

Eridan loved to fish. Loved it more than anything else in the world. The second thing to it was his boyfriend, Sollux. Well, his real name was Alex, but everyone, including Sollux himself, called him Sollux for some reason. He didn’t mind though, he liked the name better than his original.
So when Eridan asked him to go fishing with him on the weekend he gladly said “Yeah thure ED.”
Eridan decided that he loved his boyfriend more than fishing.

I am an owner.
I own a dog, I own my house, I own my life. But sometimes it feels as if I am losing control of my own life–I am no longer an owner. The control moves to my emotions; I am swept by blackness and anger and love and hatred.

Several sharp points working together to hide that one thing they don’t want you to have the most. Like the hair on that girl in highschool you always wanted to get to know but didn’t. Like the fists of a young thug. Like the words of a politician sent to barb you with complacency.

Her headband ws plastic, the kinds they used to wear in the seventies. She had her hair blow dried so high i couldnt see the tv behind her. but i didnt mind. i just wanted to look at the sparkle of her cheeks when the light hit them and talk about anything and everything. i didnt want the moment to end.

haruhi eyed the dress with mutinying distaste. hell no, she threw it at the dog, who tripped with a squeaky whimper as her leg slipped into the armhole. the december breeze spurred the season’s chill to bite into her cherry pink nipples.

This all consuming idiotic thing that just seems to take the most beautiful of objects and make them shitty.
Greed has claimed many a victim and I wish it would just leave everyone alone because sometimes it’s OKAY to want things, even in excess, people who want things in excess tend to be the people with the most interesting stories to tell. It’s impossible to like someone who’s entire existence is just a string of boring possessions.

When i was a child i witnessed something horrible. It was sometime early morning or very late night when i heard a loud screech. i quickly sat up and looked out of my bedroom window only to find nothing but the simple back yard that was always there.

his hands were worn with the faded lines that spoke of hauling yards and yards of rope. his brow bore the lines that come with squinting at the sun across an open sea. he was full of sailor’s lines, and while on anyone else they would have aged poorly, his only made him look stronger

she peered out from the sill, coated with the virgin frost of the season. She saw him there, in her yard, brown trench coat and red scarf disappearing back into the barren woods. why had he left?

“There’s no biblical explanation for this,” Father Santo said solemnly. “She’s cheated on so many people now, without pay, so it’s not prostitution. That might explain why she was killed, another man’s jealousy.”

Her mousy hair was tousled and tangled from the rain and the crowd. As she opened the door, sopping wet with a demolished newspaper over her head. She dropped it carelessly to run a hand their her hair. She leaned down again to get the paper, but a man brushed past her and she only fell. I stood and opened my mouth.

The problem, maybe, is that both of them are not timid in the slightest.
They say what they want, when they want, to who they want. They don’t care about feelings and they don’t care about tact. They are too busy being nothing but themselves to apologize for it or bother with any sort of remorse.
They are undeniably strong.
They are the harshest kind of beautiful.
They are the ones who will change the world, whether it be for the better or worse.
