monk

His bald head gleamed in the morning sun, and the ratty cloth clung to his bones. In his hands, a scratched wooden bowl.

accidental

one time there was an accident that changed the whole world. It all started one rainy day, a saturday, and we all know it as the accidenta. We rarely speak about it now and as soon as the subject is brought up, usually the room gets inflated with a certain feeling of fear.

scale

The scale of justice is one that is supposed to be or truth, but it, as of now, is dredged in a malignant tar of opinion and bribery. Stained in the people’s eyes. The public’s eye. Our eyes.

flour

use it to make cake, not the one with petals, thats a flower but they sound the same. Flour is pretty wierd if you put it in water it goes rock solid but then pull it out and it’s got a gross stringy texture.

patient

patient is another word for lazy, patient people wait for things to come to them, they wait for opportunities to walk over to them and say hi so they never get things done. Not silly things like the laundry but they spend their whole life waiting, they exist, they don’t live.

emptying

emptying. emptying. the bucket was slowly emptying. why? because becky told me too, stupid fucking becky, couldn’t keep her mouth shut, always getting me into trouble. why didn’t she ever listen to me, why was I always the one who has to listen to her, do what she says. put out that water, its no place for something like that. why? no-one had ever explained it to me, I’m surrounded by so many people, doctors, nurses, strange bizzare people who come to me and want to talk about my feelings, but why? I feel so alone, no-one seems to realise that, not even her.

flirt

Flirt – everyone flirts – everyone pretends they don’t – everyone knows that everyone is doing it. Flirting is fun, it is good for the soul – it is brilliant when someone flirts with you – even if you don’t fancy them – it is a little game which doesn’t need to get out of control!!

oil

Fish oil – good for the old joints. Also a lovely film I watched with my mummy many years ago called Lorenzo’s Oil and for the record I rarely see beauty in oil paitings – I much prefer water colours.

apron

Tied to the apron strings …. well today is Little Women’s Christmas in Ireland and the day when men stay at home (traditionally) to do all the chores – cooking etc and the women go out to their local for a pint of Guinness and craic. Get rid of your apron today and have fun!

Teachers are always described as horrible monsters who set out to ruin our lives. In real life their our gods. We love them and we love what we learn from them.

trailer

I always watch the trailers because I really feel they show the best parts of a movie and even if the movie isn’t great the trailer usually is. I love trailers. I can’t believe I’m writing so uneloquently, but I guess that’s the point you speak from the heart.

hysterical

My friends are. Not in a bad way. In a great way. They make me feel sane, the way no one else can. They make me feel whole. Like the hysterical part of me is okay. Because it is. It’s okay. Okay to be whoever you need to be. It’s okay.

whole

The whole truth and nothing but the truth – is that what Hazel Stewart gave when on trial for the murder of her husband and ex-lover’s wife? I was intrigued by that whole case.

At this time of the year it is lovely to take a wander along St Patrick’s Trail. Drinking in the scenery and getting lost in thought and finishing off with a Guinness of course!

wand

Wave a magic wand – make everything alright. Fairies have magic wands – I’d like to own one too. I could perhaps sort the world out – starting with my family who are very good really but it would be wonderful for everything to be just perfect!
