Everything in life is about conflict. For some people conflict happens just trying to get out of bed. My conflict usually happens as soon as i have to look in a mirror. if I look for too long, it can be hard just to leave the house.

The values in our society regarding women are misaligned. Clearly, with so many sexual assault and harassment charges coming to light, women are not viewed as fully human beings. This is something that needs to change…and soon.

“Well, how is it?” “This part looks alright, but I think you should change up the wording in this paragraph.” He went back to work.

She stared over to the other side of the cafe at her. Tapping her feet impatiently, she waiting with baited breath for the old man’s order. He was taking his time, as she has introduced herself with a sense of confidence that he found most off-putting. Clara was in this for the short-term, though her dreams of being an academic in her specific field of clinical biology was fading. The costs were too high, and the expectations too low. She felt a lowered

Greenery refers to all things floral, as opposed to faunal. Is that a word? Greenery is related to shrubbery and plant life, botany and trees. Greenery is good for us. It feeds the mind and soul. It’s healthy. It’s missing throughout much of this concrete slab on which I dwell. I will see it this weekend.

the bars were even, unyielding, going the same direction and the same way. Everything was going along together, it was even. there was nothing perpindicular about their relationship. This was a twin or a sneeze. You can’t begin to imagine how even things were.

Starfish are pointy and often colourful. They live in the sea. I think they are sweet. They suck onto rocks. Do they have eyes? How do they see I wonder? How many legs do they have?

They thought they really had power, that the executive decision was the binding one. they were wrong. They forgot about us, the little people, the secretaries and assistants and janitors. The ones who carried out their orders. They forgot how slow downs can become stoppages, that a typo left uncorrected might matter, that they were just as human as the rest of us. They forgot. We did not.

intimidate is what you’d like to do isn’t it? ou’d like to be fierece and strong and auntinguntil you’d destroyed every ounce of goodness and grace and dignity I had left. it’s what you do, with those heavy sighs, with those cleverly placed eye rolls, that stinging sarcasm, and it used to work

A game of mental challenge versus physical ability. Not strength, but control. Stamina. Endurance. It is meant to challenge others to play at that same level and yet against themselves at the same time. A sport of kings perhaps, but played by mundanes as well.

she stands in front of the bathroom mirror. young adults don’t have to deal with this, she thought. acne is the scourge of teens. and yet, here she was, pretending to have it together, to be accomplished and independent, and she still stares down a bottle of stridex before she crawls into bed

The banker walked down the street and slapped Donald in the face. “Why did you do this to me? To us?” the banker yelled. Confused, Donald sipped his latte and walked away.

The banker walked down the street and turned the corner. He slipped quietly into the apartment building trying to evade the Doorman’s gaze. He walked to the elevator and pressed the up arrow. It’s all downhill from here, he thought.

is what you have when you look at the sea and you start thinking about your day and how it went.
The sea makes you think about different perspectives.

My phone call went unanswered. He said he didn’t want to talk to me but he didn’t have to ghost me out like this!? Yeah ok, I shouldn’t have lied but everyone makes mistakes. I only did it aswell to save his feelings but look where that’s got me. I hate having my calls unanswered

I was in the kitchen, waiting for the workers to fix that cabinet. I could not believe that that was happening to me, after all I’d have been through.

being alone is different to being lonely. i like being alone, i like time to myself. i don’t like feeling lonely however. but sometimes when you are alone, all you can think about is your loneliness.

She was a mixture of clumsiness and absolute grace. It seemed that nobody else in the world would be able to trip and make it seem like a dance move. Every aspect of her was beautiful, and though she wasn’t perfect, she was the closest to that of anyone she knew.

The sun wasn’t even on par with the brightness of her smile. When she was smiling, it was as if the world had gotten just that much brighter. It would make anyone’s day.

She was smiling brightly and genuinely. When she smiled, Kara’s world was brightened, her pain eased. Her girlfriend was her sun, and it made her happy to know that she had her.

Aunt Mabel died at the last barbeque we had. Our family doesn’t have barbeque’s anymore. She didn’t even like them.
Mother didn’t even like Aunt Mabel either.
I liked Aunt Mabel. I thought she was rather splendid, if a tad esoteric. Nevertheless, she was kind to me.
Mother thought she was a bitch.

What is humanity? I don’t see human’s in this world. We live in a world where people only care for themselves. You will bend over backwards for them but they won’t for you, this is a sad world we live in, where humans don’t exist.

She was engulfed in a sea of black gowns. A chorus rang out as hundreds of caps flew into the air. As she threw hers, her hopes and dreams rose like a cloud into the sunny afternoon, ready to be pursued.
