Is specific not like basic? Well, no, by meaning one is more specific than the other, but they both relate to the same type of thing, or substance, or context. I like the word specific more than basic, but I’m still not digging the specifics of it.

My mind runs blank at the word basic. Basically what I am saying is the most basic form of the basic word is basically basic in the basic sense. I can’t even pretend to enter a stream of consciousness with the word basic. There is nothing basic I can find in my mind to write about.

Bench like my black skinny bench jeans I’m wearing right now! I love this word. First of all, it sounds great, second of all, sitting on a bench usually means enjoying the outdoor world. It seems to be a great place for thoughts, books, conversations… Benches are where first time Iloveyou’s are exchanged (or at least that’s where I said mine).

I absolutely love dried mango, in fact, so much so that it could also be classified as something I have a shopping addiction to. The best place to buy them is at Costco. You get a full bag of them for around $10, as opposed to the bulk aisle in Save On for at least $16 (and half the amount). I like dried mango, fresh mango, all mangoes.

I don’t have enough outlets in my house. Then again, maybe I have too many cords. I remember sticking my finger in an open outlet as a kid and bzzzzz – weirdest feeling ever. Best feeling ever? Walking into an outlet store (ok, it’s not the best feeling at all, but it sure is nice).

Sage, like the spice? Yes, it has to be a spice, I’m certain I bought a bottle of sage just after Christmas when I tried making stuffing for dinner (without the turkey). Apparently you don’t need a lot of sage in a recipe as it’s quite strong.

I started making cards earlier this year while looking for a creative outlet and desperately needing to make some extra cash. The cards are complete and I want to sell them, but I have yet to find an affordable place to print them. I don’t think cards are particularly meaningful, unless hand made. They are a great way to display illustrations, though.

Invent is such a strong word, as it implies so much. I am blessed to have so many innovative and creative people around me, always inventing and discovering new ideas and projects. It’s incredibly inspiring and motivates me to work harder each day. One individual, in particular, whom I refer to as modern day Thomas Edison, inspires more inventive creativity and perseverance than anyone I know.

My hair gets tangled so easily. That’s what hair does when it gets long, although mine will never be long enough. There’s something cool about tangled hair, but I don’t quite know what. Maybe it’s the memory of countless days spent at the beach, skin burnt, hair unwashed and tangled, hours spent in the warm lake… That is why I love where I live.

My nickname from high-school! Wooly mammoth! It came about after I got this godawful hair cut and dyed my hair a really dark brown. I thought I resembled a wooly mammoth, and so did my friends.

I was one of the unfortunate victims who fell under the trap of flare jeans, even the bell bottoms that came back. Flare jeans aren’t the worst things I use to wear, though. I remember wearing two different shoes to school and I also remember duct taping toy horses to my shoes (which I swear was for wacky shoe day, but my friends say this was a regular occurrence). Years later I once asked my mom how she ever let me leave the house in the ridiculous outfits I’d wear to school. She said she took it as a phase, and assumed (hoped) I would grow out of it. I did.

I knew today’s word would be something cliche like chocolate. Today as I was driving home I saw all these people walking by themselves and it made me sad to think of all the homeless people alone tonight. Which reminds me, one day I want to travel and take photos of people to give to them.
Chocolate. Of course I like chocolate.

A microphone immediately makes me think of Eminem, who I am obsessed with. Sometimes I can’t handle his degrading remarks, but when I look past them and just hear how he strings his words together, I think he’s absolutely brilliant. He’s a phenomenal writer, one who deserves a microphone.

Lately I’ve been taking charge of my time and energies. While I don’t want to be the owner of my life, it feels good to take charge of my weaknesses and quit procrastinating (and the likes). It’s amazing how much happier one can feel when they put their time and energy to good use. Being motivated and inspired are some of the best feelings ever.

Needle in a haystack! Oh look, someone just drove by with the exact car and model I have (and colour – rare!). Who actually likes needles? When I think of a needle, I think of poking the thread through the tiniest little hole. The mice from Cinderella always made that look so cool.

Today, I was hoping the word would be petty. I always try and guess which word it will be; always, I am wrong. Revolt was the last thing that came to mind and makes me thing of horses (which I do not care for). Revolt, colt… Same thing in my mind.

At first when I saw the word coward, I read it as cow (and then left off the “ard”). I don’t know what to write about this word ow now brown cow oh now brown cow lanolin, like sheep’s wool! OW NOW BROWN COW.

I’m an on-again-off-again fragrance wearer. The other day while I was sitting in class, it became quite apparent to me that when individuals walk by, a breeze flows behind them leaving whatever smell they carry. I don’t think I stink, I sure hope I don’t stink, but it made me want to start wearing perfume again so that I can smell like roses and flowers and lambs and rainbows, and not my yoga class or spicy chicken dinner.

Today I changed my daily alarm clock to go off 30 minutes later. Permanently. I always wake up tired at the buzzer, and end up hitting snooze for the next 30 minutes. Today I decided to not care about the feeling of “but I have to get up at this time because that’s what productive people do,” and simply sleep through that last half hour. My brain could use the extra 30 minutes of sleep.

Pills. Pink pills, purple pills, blue pills, I don’t do pills. I often find I write about them in poems, though, comparing them to orbits and milky way galaxies. I like the word pills. Or maybe I like the rainbow of colour pills come in.

Suicide. I actually feel speechless and haven’t a clue what to write about. In some ways, it’s entirely too cliche to write about. We all have our pains, some worst than others. But suicide? I can’t write about something so cliche and make you feel any different than you already feel about it.

Boost, what the hell kind of word is boost? It’s 7am and the last thing I’m thinking about is a “boost”, although I could really use one to get a move on my day. My brain hasn’t awoken yet. All I can think of is booster juice, which is loaded with sugar, and not something I necessarily want to fill my body with. Alright, boosting myself up and out of bed now. Time to get the showwww on the rooooaddd.
