There were millions of tiny little lights; particles scattered throughout the world. I couldn’t think of anything or anyone at that moment in time I was so consumed by the beauty of it all.

The typical day. I go to sleep. then i wake up and see nothing. i see darkness, darkness, overwhelming darkness, then i shut my eyes and i go to sleep.
on another typical day i wake up with eyes wide open. shut, open, shut, then open. It was blinding.

Just sitting here and looking at him. I just wanted to just get up and go far away from this crowed room and run. Run to the hills and never look back at this man. Feeling very deserted by him, I just wanted to go.

big buildings and important people and offices and cubicles and lots of math and beeps and letters and computers and graphs and spreadsheets and suits and ties and people walking and watching and quiet and printers and lots of paper products. staplers maybe. and here the dudes come walking down the hallway and everyone is really nervous because they’re getting evaluated by the executives you know and it’s all nerve racking and everyone wants to do their best

I don’t want to downgrade in terms of my life. I like where I am at in my life and it makes me happy. To downgrade means to give up what you already have for a grass is always greener kind of approach and I don’t like that. I want to upgrade myself if anything. Maybe by taking more classes, who knows. It is hard to figure out how to upgrade yourself on the fly

Drinking water is super important. I’ve had a hard time with that recently because water makes me sick. I’m looking forward to my second trimester where I hope this will not be the case! Otherwise, drinking OJ is the way I’ve been able to stay hydrated. Not the healthiest- so much sugar!- but a decent solution when staying hydrated is more important than ever.

He came into my life, and it was the best moment ever. But when he left, he left a trail of brokenness behind him. I picked up all the fractured pieces, holding them close to me, pressing them to my heart, wishing that they would heal into wholeness again. Alas, those shards pierce the very membrane of my fragile soul. I was never the same again.

A eulogy to you.You who made me react and face the horrors of life, the scary things , the hard decisions , the horrible truths ,you whom no matter what will always be with me , you who I will always love. Hope you’re in a better place.

They sat facing each other in silence. Neither knew what to say. The events that took place the night before were tragic and no words were going to make it better.

They all stood around not looking at the bodies in horror, but at the same time there was a sense of understanding that resinated with everyone. The sense of discontent cut the silence like train barreling through the night.

I was watching the news last night and there they were. Darin and Angelique were involved in the police shootings in Seattle. They wanted to be sure that their message was clear, “we are not going to stand for discrimination in the force that is meant to protect us anymore. If they can’t see that our lives matter as much as theirs or anyone else’s, we are going to show them. The price for ignorance is always high.”

I wish I could write a poem about clarify. I would like to be more creative than just throwing clarify into one sentence in a passage about how I wish I were more creative. Just to clarify, the next one will be better.

When I think of the dentist I cringe. I have such anxiety in going to that place. When I arrived my heart feels as though it is beating out of my chest. As the dentist begins to work on my teeth, I grip my legs and I can feel my palms getting sweaty.

Aluminium magnolias. What if every flower, every tree, every blade of grass, emanates music in a frequency that we can’t quite hear? Our ears can’t detect it but something else in us can, something that doesn’t have a name. The suede of the petals at a fingertip’s touch. There is something inherently sensual about flowers, which is probably why I believe they sing a silent music. You can’t have one without another. You can’t have sunrise without morning glories.

Sleeves are not necessary in the summer. If I would’ve had sleeves on this past weekend I probably wouldn’t have such a bad sunburn right now. I do not like to wear sleeves when I am playing golf. Sleeve-less polos are my favorite to wear when I golf. I also have a lot of sleeves of golf balls to choose from.

“No way! This is not acceptable. Young lady, you must clear this chaos right now, right this minute, pronto. I really don’t know how you do these things you naughty kitty!”

There is just no point urging him on. He’s all but convinced that it’s beyond him, that he hasn’t got what it takes. It’s over, can’t you see? Don’t ask him about it any longer. He will not compete.

Parallel lines that meet can possess such power. All you need is a good grip, that machinates it to do what a mere stick could not. Grab, poke, pick, tease.

Ribs? I paused. As usual, we could never agree on what to eat. The way we are different is a tragicomedy I guess. It’s a tough thing to do though, to learn to laugh at ourselves, and not that things as an unkind cut.

This makes me laugh because in our colloquail slang, we add a ‘la’ at the end of sentences. It has become quite well-know la. Too many such ‘las’ make us SO LA!

This morning, the BBC interviewed this lady about the destruction of Buddhist relics by the Taliban. The interviewer said that some are arguing that they cannot possible reconstruct those relics and perhaps should leave that space as it is to represent what happened. The poor lady disagreed. She kept saying, “I can’t imagine not seeing them again”.

“You know what a mixtape” makes me feel? He looked at her bewildered.
“It’s all mess, that’s what. Like duct, strong, scotch..all of it wound up in a darn sticky mess!”

She is blue. Always. She got a job and she got fired. She got another and she quit. She prays with hot tears and asks all the ‘why’ questions till we all join her disbelief. Hard luck? What is it? Some people don’t seem to win, ever.

That word was overused as far as she was concerned. It’s not as good of a thing as everyone wants you to believe.

As I sat on the cold, wing-back chair, the haze in the room darkening, I could hear the screeching wind roaring against the windows. The air gave a chill. The atmosphere outside, full of colors that blended like sleep. I listened to that screeching and thought of my own deep within. My hurts, my brokeness, camouflaged in guilt and shame. Yet, Jesus- Jesus has washed me in righteousness and the sins are no longer there.

I hate all of the traits I have. I have my moms shyness yet my dads outspokenness. It makes me want to scream.

I’ve come farther than I ever have before. It has been a long journey of the almost impossible, and the one thing I regret most… is not taking the time to think a little longer in some instances. Its been a wonderful journey, and this I know.

Derivied is a word that is how you get from one place to another. it’s about links and connections. It can be the origin of a word and where it came from. it can be a PLACE of origin, where a person has come from, maybe even an idea or concept. it’s a long word and i wouldn’t call it a common word. Other similar words could be linked, originated or simply ‘came from’

Perspective. Perspective is how we view issues, decisions though our own customized lens. We create this special lens through experiences in our life. For example, it can particularly be with the people we grew up with, family, friends, or it
