Pine trees are totally the Christmas smell. It seems like the minute you see that first add with sleigh bells playing in the background, everything smells like pine. Sometimes it’s those plastic “pine” wreaths or genuine pine from a park nearby. I used to bite the little things off of pine trees. Tasted bitter.

some people say i’ll be a comedian someday and i can’t imagine that, because i say things that i think are funny sometimes, and sometimes people laugh, but i can’t imagine standing in front of people for an hour and a half and making them laugh every five seconds along the way. that’s plain sp00ky.

Gridlocked. I’ve heard of the word but I couldn’t tell you what it means. Reminds me of the grids that shoot smoke on the pavement downtown and the big frog lock I use to struggle to find a use for when I was little. I suppose I just wanted a lock. For privacy of my stupid secrets.

Thanksgiving would have been pretty welcoming if we had a big Thanksgiving. But alas. It was me, Mom, and a lasagna. And that’s pretty welcoming on its own accord. Lasagna is pretty welcoming. It welcomes itself to your mouth. When your family is sprawled around the U.S like marbles, just eat lasagna.

I don’t exclude anyone because I don’t have a reason to exclude anyone. What’s the big whoop? Sure. There are a lot of people and a lot of differences between those people, but what’s excluding them going to help? Nothing. And how will it hurt to include them? It won’t. Not a tad! Just don’t be a bad person, okay? It’s probably genetic, and if it is, I’m sorry you had to be such a jerk, but at least…try?

Fed-Ex! They ship things sometimes! I don’t get fed up with much but I love me some Fed-Ex, baby! Don’t hate. Don’t judge.
it’s really early and being on oneword.com is never a good idea at this time.
Kidding, it’s 10:00 and I’m makin excuses.

sugar and stripes and everything nice. that was her. she had lipstick bright enough to signal traffic and a voice like clear tape. her looks were eclectic and came from the depths of many-a-venice beach estate sale. she said her favorite fruit was papaya because the seeds were pretty.

I always spell this word wrong.
Is it pre? Or per? I hear people say it like per-fer, and it throws me off of my game when I’m writing and the little red line goes under perfer, and I’m forced to reevaluate my life.

I style my hair for much too long in the mornings. When I leave the mirror, my bathroom floor is slick with oils and conditioners and water and all that jazz. And as I enter the outside world, my hair immediately turns to its regular tumbleweed consistency again. Dry. Again.

Revising has never been something I’ve been good at. Usually my revising process is:
Step 1) Look at paper.
Step 2) Read through.
Step 3) Accept my fate.
And then I say, “I’m done revising!” and I quit out of the document immediately.

I’m captive to thinking and thinking and thinking all the time.
I’m stuck in my head. I think too much. About 90 % of what I do is in my head, and although I can call myself an extrovert, I’m so much in my head. I’ll analyze anything, really. I’m just not the kind of person to not think something through. Even if it’s small.

Flee from the fleas! Why yes! They carry disease and they’re taking over New York City! As of now, they tower over 40 feet! This is it, folks. Run, run for your life. Hide yo kids. Cause this is the end.

What’s funny is I just bought three big old rattling boxes of Wonka candies (Runts, Bottle Caps and Nerds) as a bit of willpower for the homework that I am sure will be stacking up in a matter of weeks. You know, to get me through it. I keep them stacked on my desk as a constant visual to just keep writing, just keep writing.

This is something I had owned for quite a while, and no, it wouldn’t be leaving through a crummy yard sale. I knew it had some sort of importance, it was just understanding this importance that I had yet to do. This led everyone to believe it was junk like all the other old halloween costumes and tupperware out there. But somewhere I knew it wasn’t.

I deserved that spot in DSA.
Denver School of the Arts, actually. I deserved it for sure. It wasn’t what I had been dreaming of for years like others had. I didn’t work my ass off on my video, exactly……
….but I deserved it, alright.

The gloves are white and green, but not a pleasant green. The green that just screams “doctor’s office”. At that point, we didn’t know what at all had happened to my mom’s ankle, but it definitely was something. I blew into the glove and made a cow udder. She laughed.

It wasn’t like I meant anything out of it. Sometimes the words come out like I didn’t mean them to come out is all. You need not act as if I meant to ask you out. Truly I didn’t. I said, we should hang out sometime. That doesn’t mean anything, right? It’s a friendly gesture. That’s what friends do. . .

Statues are scary. They don’t like your presence, I feel. Even the Ronald McDonalds outside of a McDonalds seem like they were having a grand old time until you showed up. It feels eerie how they’re either naked or stone-faced or both, usually both. It doesn’t seem like the artist wanted you to feel watched, or do they?

Statues are always stone-faced.
Mind my pun, but it’s true. It feels as if they’re staring you down. Always. There is no humor in a statue. Somebody, please, enlighten me on a humorous statue that isn’t the Ronald McDonald outside a McDonalds. All the otheres are simply sad.

It was a series of orders and neither of them seemed good. It wasn’t moral. Simply, it wasn’t moral. But orders, orders were the job. The job was to carry out orders and thats all that it specified. These moral dilemmas were not in the job criteria.
He would choose the third.
