wolf

I absolutely adore wolves. They are the most fascinating creatures. I have a lot of wolf items around my house. I hate that they aren’t being protected much anymore by government. i despise the killing of them. Their social skills are quite fascinating.

bottle

I think we all have a bottle. An inner bottle that we lock up deepest , secret feelings and emotions. Most people let those come to a head and the bottle explodes in different forms. I know I have one. I’m sure we all do. It’s not good to let that bottle get too full.

painter

I’d love to start painting. I have bought supplies but haven’t started yet. I feel like I need practice first though. Where to start? I may copy a few first before I try to create on my own. I feel this will help me hone my skill. If I have any to begin with. Painters inspire me.

coexist

They stood side by side at the window, inches but miles away. There was nothing to be heard but birds chirping outside and slow, patterned breath. As they stared into the distance, he thought about the tune up the car needed. She thought about where they might go on next year’s vacation. Neither realized that each other’s company was more than mere company, it was a gift.

believe

To believe is to have faith in something or someone. When you believe that anything can happen it can.

For most, it represents finality, palliative care. “You have a tumour”. The cancer is terminal”.

For me, by the grace of God, it means adventure, travel, noisy aircraft, sequins of light on the ocean, exotic places, suitcases on carousels, airport delays.

May it always be so.

Her complexion was marred, like dots on a map leading away from her history.

camp

I remember camp. Band camp. So much fun. Mischief. Good friends. Goofy silliness…we were all there for fun. No one judged. Everyone was happy and accepting. An inaccurate description of real life for sure.

toadstool

The difference between a toadstool and a mushroom is not something I know much about! I will probably look it up on Google after I finish writing this entry. This is quite a fun way to do a quick write!

patch

I saw a patch of fur growing on my arm. I knew that something had come over me. This was it. The moment I had expected since that wolf bite me. I was turning into a werewolf. I started itching I wasn’t used to this much hair. It was growing at erratic rates.

counted

I am counted. Everyone counts. To be counted you must show up. Show up and do the right thing. My thoughts count, my input counts and my life counts. I am counted.

genetics

Genetics has to do with chromosomes. We get half our chromosomes from our mothers and half from our fathers. There are dominant and recessive genes, and which ones are expressed depends on how many copies of each you have for any particular trait. These genes will affect hair, eye color, etc…

instant

It was over in an instant. Just for one second, she met your gaze and you were lost. You could never imagine such sadness until you saw it in her eyes. It was heartbreaking. It was beautiful.

shattered

I looked at him and he turn slowly to face me. He had a wine glass in one hand and and note in the other. He wasn’t supposed to see that note. I was shattered. He knew everything…the car, the woman, the chocolate. Everything.

Pretty
Held above others, special
The only thing that makes you different is the idea you are different
I have no idea what I am doing

politician

Liars and cheets. I don’t like politicians. I don’t feel that any of them are worth what we pay them and they are certainly not doing anything for our country at this moment. They act like children, fighting against each other saying that they know what the people want. Bull Hockey I say!

procedure

Yikes. That word seems scary. I think of surgery. Getting cut open. Having something inside of you cut out because it’s foreign and doesn’t belong.
Maybe it’s more, procedures and protocols. The order of things. The order of how something should work in order to produce a specific result.

actual

Actual. Actually. What is actual. I think when you hear someone say actual, you want to believe they are a know it all, and instead of believing what they are saying you think they are making things up. So actual… does it really mean what it actually means?

season

Season… every season. There is a song that I love from Nichole Nordeman which is about the seasons changing. It’s one of my favorites and moves me every time I hear it. Sometimes I think I would like to sing it in church for others to hear.
My favorite season is the fall.

game

Many people think they have it, but most don’t. I propose starting “Project Save a Player” because of the lack of game many men have. Hopefully it will save some, maybe not all, but otherwise we are doomed to endure disgusting leers and hopeless requests to date men who are horrible at it.

ancient

The city was under my souls,
My eyes clasped onto crumbled roof tops,
story-holding tomb stones,
lives buried,
all under my feet,
the ruins of ruined lives,
or perhaps,
lives just begun.

scene

Setting a scene is always difficult. I mean how does one relate a scene when they are unsure if the reader is familiar…and what if they don’t see the same scene that the writer has intended? Has the writer then failed? Or has he prevailed because he related to the reader in a very specific to the reader way. It’s a mystery. A wonderful gift for both the reader and the writer.

claim

People claim to be so loving, yet they hurt you with every word they say. They claim to be your backup when need be, yet bash you to everyone they see that know you. People need to stop claiming and actually be the person they say they want to be. People r annoying sometimes.

despite

Despite the beautiful day outside I’m sitting at the kitchen table. Despite the warmth of the sun, I’m clothed for winter. Despite my energy, I’m doing nothing. Despite the green table, I would love to see the wood grain refinished and showing. Despite my ungrateful attitude, I love my life mostly.
