The worst thing that could ever happen is if someone deleted my unicorn book. It would be awful, because I worked really hard on it, and found some awesome unicorn pictures to put in it.
Detta isn’t as keen on my unicorn book at Lynne and Audrey are, but I think it’s because of the rainbow poop picture.

I was swept away by her graciousness. She didn’t know me, but I had been dragged to the party by her friend who thought I needed a night out to get out of my own head. I appreciated the effort, but she was the only one I knew at the party, and I felt so out of place. Until her friend, the hostess, came up and began a conversation with me. Her blue eyes were shining and glistening and she was so attentive. Maybe that was just what I needed

Black . Might be blind if you didn’t know. Curtains and fear of it. Absence of light. you can’t replicate it.

what makes things work, move forward, go. sometimes they can be difficult and sometimes easy. work harder when they get difficult to get to the finish line. When easier still work hard to prepare for the difficult times. Like riding a bike, you have hills and flat roads.

I used to think a lot about being a prisoner, being trapped in a cage. My favourite poems were all ones about emancipation, freedom, dropping keys for prisoners. Now I think less about it but often say I feel trapped in my current life. Trapped in the small everyday station life.

Where did the phrase the witching hour come from? In olden times was that just when witches hopped on their broomsticks to go to a fabulous party with fancy cocktails and silky jackets? Or was it because it was a devilish time of night?

He stood there, calm, like the sea. Because that is what he was meant to be, rough, and unpredictable. Cold and barren, deep and dark, unexplored and wild. She was the sky, watching over him always and forever.

Empathy is important. Empathy is beautiful. But what is empathy? Does it mean the same thing for everyone? Obviously, it has a set definition but that doesn’t mean it has a set meaning, right?

There was nothing we hate more then lightweight. It was an horrible thing to feel, but really, we couldn’t even see it without vomiting around. What can we do? Lightweight is such a guilty pleasure when it comes with love and laughter. We shouldn’t laugh at those who cannot understand this. It is the way it is, and it’ll ever be.

What a laugh. A science project made up of four squirming sixth graders, Marga Leoni at the head of the group.
“Everyone must contribute 25% of the work.” How ridiculous. What was Mrs. Carver thinking? That three semi-capable but much too lazy sixth grade boys were going to ‘contribute’ the same amount of work to the project as Marga. Marga was destined for Harvard or Princeton or some other prestigious college with old historic buildings. Logan, Miles, and Dash were meant to go to the community college or become volunteer firefighters. Their aspirations included becoming professional soccer players, inventing the next Minecraft videogame, or winning the loterry. What a laugh.

It was a short little thing, rubbery and round with a thick white stem and a spotted red cap – something straight out of a storybook.

His throat contracts in the darkness. The blonde watches his beloved sibling, his brother, his own kin underneath him, whimpering, wriggling, writhing as he placed kisses on his neck. He had a thirst that only his brother could relieve.

I saw her over there with a sad smile on her face. I didn’t know why she was here, all alone, but we locked eyes, and for once I felt something within my heart. I almost cared for once. She tried to wave to me, but thought better of it, and brushed it off as playing her tambourine instead. I hate music sometimes.

That was the only word I could think of to describe the town of Brookings, Washington. The people were still, the grass was still, and the air was a stagnant moist constant. It wasn’t a calm still more of a sickening still, a stuck kind of still. My friends had been swallowed up by the stillness. They stuck around and started working at the local waffle house and didn’t understand the moves I had chosen for myself. I was swift in my plans to head out of town. I selected a university two states away in the big loud city of San Francisco, where everything and everyone was moving underneath the deceiving thick fog. We had fog here but not fog that blanketed over the top of the sky and let everything alone below, fog that oozed into the cracks and melted soles into the sidewalk. Everything in Brookings was engineered to trap you, to maintain the still reputation.

I’ve weathered so much now, so much that people typically don’t see underneath the surface. Scars across my body, but they’re invisible. They can’t be seen. It’s not like it used to be, where I would show what I was thinking.
I’ve learned to hide it, what I’ve gone through, because nobody wants to know it.
But still, it’s there if you look.
And if you look, you’ll see who I am behind the smile.

A moment without motion. Silence of activity. Nothingness. Devoid of actions. Quiet. Anything opposite of movement. Relaxed thoughts. The opposite of how I feel now.

Don’t breathe. Don’t let anyone know that you are terrified. Your body is wrapped in a thick ribbon of anxiety and your words aren’t real anymore. Forget about all of it. Just smile, nod, and keep breathing.

i am interested…i always say that’s interesting when someone is saying something and i don’t know how to respond. or interessant in french.
what am i interested in? it’s easier to point to what i’m not–jobs involving break rooms and coffee machines and cubicles. but i am interested in education, notebooks, small businesses,

i am interested. i wonder. i am on the pursuit of something. the line is filling and i am chasing it. sometimes i think i’ve found it and other times i feel just as far from it as i did when i began this journey. i am 211 days wiser but what is wisdom? do i have any more of it? i have enough curiousity and i guess that is interest, but will someone ever be interested in me? that’s the question for the day

Debris rained down around you. Your ears rang. Noise slowly returned, muted and echoed.
“What… what happened?” You coughed ash and dust. The world was varying shades of gray. In the distance, you can see the silhouette of a retreating figure.

The unthinkable is something we fear. We cannot be blamed for the unthinkable, the pain and uneasiness it may bring. Mystery and over thinking are consuming

Pain is unthinkable until you feel it. The unthinkable become the consumable and memorable and sometimes the unforgivable. Emotion swallows hope, the thing that shelters us from this
