monster

I opened my eyes this morning
Realizing that I’m no longer a good person
Deserve to be unloved
Deserve to be hated

Un-kiss my soul and unfriend me
I’ll be good cry alone
I better am
A monster doesn’t do heart
A monster breaks everything

bonfire

I was planning to meet my friends at the beach for a end of school bonfire. I was really excited and knew just what I wanted to wear and everything. Then all heck broke loose. I fell in a bottomless pit on the way there.

demonstrate

Jack sat down but than the teacher called him back up to demonstrate the next problem. This was the least of his worries. Jack did not know what was just around the corner.

café

I sat in the lonely cafe, waiting for something to catch my eye. I knew that there was something special here. I knew I was looking for something, I just had no idea of what.

bronze

It is the medal that I would probably get if I was in the Olympics. The metals I always got when I was playing sports. It is the promise of victory, with the tinge of defeat. It is what I think the penny is, but isn’t. It’s copper.

rise

rise and fall. sometimes we rise above our weakness and other times we just fall. fall and crash to the ground with no sense of what reality is.

past

the past can scar anyone. your best friend, your other best friend, the people you love. i wish the past didn’t scar anyone. can’t we just make the past the past, and focus on the present?not even the future, the present. if we could all let go of the past i’m sure all of our heads would be more clear. my head would be more clear, i would be happier if others let go of the past.

gone

Gone. What comes to mind when you hear this word? Sadness of a lost one, happiness of trials evaporating. Gone has many meanings. I guess it all depends on the person, and their situations. Just like everything else, don’t judge, don’t regret, just live.

walls

These walls confine, my mind wanders past as it drifts into the space beyond. I come back and I realize I am just stuck between these walls. I search for the door to find the beyond.

hearing

Leaves rustle. The trees sigh. I am hearing these things on a rainy summer night in July.

separate

Together. A word that everyone strives for in their lives. They reach for the possibility to be ‘together’ with another person. But what if you can’t be? What if you are separate from everyone around you? How do we get there? How do we go from being ‘separate’ to ‘together’?

» Posted By Carissa On 05.03.2012 @ 10:38 am

We live separately now. Not divorced, never that, but living separate lives. The cats handled it well, no problems although they undoubtedly missed each other. Sometimes Fluff cried at night and Purr often sat in Fluff’s old spot on the sofa, his tail curled around his nose. Sometimes I dream of him, my husband, and miss him.

hallowed

Ah, these hallowed halls. Filled with dark forboding. Entryways that meld into the darkness, rugs scuffed with age and lack of care. Yet still a light glows at the end where a candle constantly burns, always refreshed by a faithful servant. A simple cross on the wall is reflected in the light of that candle. So glorious and pristine in the darkness, a shining beacon. The contents of the rooms don’t matter in the context of that cross at the end of that hallway, glimmering in the light.

preoccupied

The man who was at his desk was just wondering, how preoccupied could he get? He looked around, searching desperately for something to do, but could find nothing. It was a sad state of affairs, but alas, there was nothing to do. So he went and left the company forever.

assisted

He lifted the box off of the ground. He could feel his spine straining under the weight. “Lift with your legs.” He always heard. Now he realized why. Never had he worked so hard to do such a simple task. After the end of the action, he felt 100 years older, like an old man who could only bear to lift his own body every day, when the sun rises and the loon calls out to him to awaken.

predict

I predict that one day we will all be able to understand each other and get along. It would be a wonderful world if one day this came true. I want to help us get there.

remember

The times I shall never forget, the minutes, hours, seconds, and days that are etched into my memory. Some are good others bad, some are with people I will never see again and hardly know.Others are with the people I love the most and never want to live without.

intersection

I found myself at an intersection in my life. I was ready to drive across but my car whined and went no further. “DAMN!” I cursed, pressing my foot down on the petal as hard as it would go. That was it, I would be stuck on this side forever. I would never see my life beyond.

hysterical

the most hysterical things in life are those moments where you can be yourself with the one person you love the most and you can both be complete dorks and just laugh at each other for it. Genuinely laugh at the random stupid things that you wish you could just save forever.

galaxy

It had been awhile since we had stared at the galaxy. We both sat on the roof, right outside of her window, and stared at the stars. They longer we stared the closer the galaxy seemed to appear. The moon became part of our night; we were a trio romancing with the stars. It seemed as though time had stopped, yet I knew this night would end, I knew we would never go back to how things were.

classic

Classic is a tricky word. Many things are thought of as being classic that shouldn’t really be classified as such. The past is the past. We all think too much.

heels

Walking down the street. Hearing the tap, tap, tap of someones heels on the marble floor. I look to see who it is. A beautiful, confident woman walking the line. I want to be like her, I think to myself.
