The word classical is a type of fashion or genre. For example, there is classical music, classical cars, classical art, etc. Some people like this fashion, and some don’t

The chicken breast touched her tongue. She tasted regret. There was a reason she was minimal with her spices, and she should’ve know that she spilled too much pepper onto her meal.

This night wasn’t like any other night. It was cold and wet. The skyline was black against the purple sky. Nothing was left in those buildings. The war made sure of that. If only there was a way to bring it back to life. The way it used to be.

The one standing by the door? Oh, he’s just some guy they chose to be my companion while working on the mission. I told them that I am one of the most powerful people in the kingdom. But just because I am the last born royal (a princess at that), I need someone to come with me.

In life, we’re constantly reaching for happiness. Tiring efforts and yet they always return little to no results. Or at least not a satisfying results.

Maybe this due to our continuous efforts. For if we’re always chasing, can we even reach a destination?

It’s like a rabbit chasing a carrot on a stick, no matter how fast or far we run, that prize will always be a stick away. It will always be out of our grasps.

We will always be reaching unless we learn to be content. That is where true happiness can only lie.

staggering like stag, like deer, grazed by a car moving too fast for comfort, carelessness
staggering off to the side of the road, legs bent the wrong way, all askew and stumbling
stumbling into green grass painted wet red

She waited a long time for the scuba gear. While she was waiting, a man approached. The sun was in her eyes so she could only see his silhouette. It was large. And coming. Her nose tingled with something like problematic anticipation. This won’t be good. But she was practicing warm-heartedness so she took a deep breath and tried to find her heart, her good intentions, her curiosity, blah blah.

Longing is people wanting something that the don’t necessarily need. Because people are the most materialistic beings of this world, they “long” for money and things that they really don’t need. Some people, however, long for people if they love them.

and upwards. well… hopefully. No matter what, things will keep moving forward for us. But to where and whether or not this will be a place that lives up to our expectations or not remains to be seen.

The man stopped at the crest of the hill and waited. He knew the scent would appear eventually. He was content to stoop in the tall grass and inhale its dry crackling. It had been so long already. Why not wait a few more minutes, even hours?

I want to cry. I want to scream. I want to drop tears down the back of elephants. I want to lift them up. I want to fly. I want to explain this all to you.

He dropped his keys at the end of the drive. There was a thin crust of snow and he did not know which direction to head in. If he went left, he would end up at the fire station. If he went right, he would go to school. His keys led nowhere. He was at a loss, dead-end, flat out. But he had his keys. They were not frozen under, only scattered across the dirty grey snow.

The van skidded around the corner and came to a halt. It was white. Of course. The van had a wide door ad it opened. Of course. A man stepped out and blinked, as if he had just emerged from the belly of a sheep in an ancient myth, except the mountains around him were made of steel. It was enough. He had arrived, and he would start over. He knew the scent of this place from some secret place in his memory, the place his mother told him not to go.

Everyone was over at grandma and grandpa’s for the annual Keller family reunion. A big helping of ribs was smoking over the fire, stirring smoky mesquite aromas through the air. Everyone’s stomachs growled in anticipation. I tried to keep myself occupied with potato salad and chips but it was not enough compared to the savory tender goodness roasting on the grill. Especially with grandpa’s own sauce marinating. He’d used the same recipe since his dad first showed him the fine art of cooking, but it never disappointed. His was truly a unique blend of spices that no one could quite make sense of enough to copy. What was it? Paprika? Cinnamon? Clove? Cayenne? It blended together so perfectly that nothing could stand out enough to betray itself, yet there was no blandness to it at all.

A place where you go to buy things. A spice market full of the colors and smells. A rainbow for your nose, a bouquet for your eyes. A place full of people. Crowded, busy, noisy, except first thing in the morning when everyone is setting up and getting ready for the day. There is space to move, space to see. It’s perfect, a glimpse at the structure behind the madness to come. Fresh, complete, unsoiled. Happy, this is where I was happy.

A little violet flower was standing in a field of white roses. Lost and alone the wind pushed it from side to side. It did not belong there all the other flowers knew it.

Upstairs in the attic of his childhood home lurked a murderous killer awaiting his next victim. He had a tall slender figure and always wore a dark mask to cover his identity.

Ive got a lovely bunch of coconuts, there they are, standing in a row. Now, wouldn;t you wonder why I was lining these coconuts up? Well, obviously, you know that I think they are lovely. Why not line them up, you assume I think.

Mean, scared, abandoned, hurting, I see little boys who are insecure and are lacking a father figure to show them how to love and protect those weaker than them. I see girls who feel little to no value for who God created them to be: nurturers, lovers, encouragers, friends,
Secret keepers. They long for love and acceptance for who they are. Their strengths and weaknesses, their unique little quirks that make them who they are. They lack confidence and roll models. They need love and consequences. Responsibility and expectations. Hard work and reward

An arrow cut through the air, screaming as it went. Striking the ground, a huge explosion was let out, air molecules exploding behind it.

The dish was sparkly clean it glimmed in the light. My reflection was able to be seen. I carefully walked towards the cupboard but my hands where shaking and it dropped and smashed. I wonder what was gonna happen cause this was mums favourite dish.

I miss my father. It’s been over 20 years since he left my life. It sucks to go through such a huge part of life without him. No one truly understands, even though they pretend they do. It is lonely. I miss and need him every single day. I wonder if it is the same for people who lose their dads later in life? I feel like mine was stolen!

Again, that sound. The canned laughter that just seemed to never end. He looked around and saw nothing but white walls. He clutched his head. It stopped. The relief was sweet and he relished in it until…again, canned laughter.

She walked into the room, and heads started turning. Who was this woman? Where did she come from? and what did she want? She tossed her silky blonde hair over her shoulder, smiled, flashing her pearly teeth, and sat down. Her bright blue eyes looked up and saw him, glancing over at her. She glanced back at him, hoping he didn’t see.

Blemishes plagued her face, giving her an insecure feeling at every point in her meager life. Ridiculing had been enough to give her a reclusive lifestyle, but the beatings that came with it gave her ire unmatched.
