ringing in my ears
buzzing that won’t go away
can’t focus
can’t sleep
please go away
please let me rest
bring me peace
leave me be

i thought we had some trust established
i thought this was built on promises and hope in each other
i thought you wouldn’t be the one to be mad when you were the one to break a promise
you turn it all back on you
“i’m sorry i’m so terrible”
“i’m sorry i couldn’t be better for you”
why am i comforting you when you were the one who broke the promise?

Its muddy here. Outside. the snow is melting and the ground is damp. it’s too early for the mud to be present here in northeast Ohio, where the snow usually piles up through spring. The tracks lead through the house, inevitable of the muddy truth. Truth always seems to be muddy – messy and unpredictable and dirty.

He gestured for her to walk to the dance floor. They danced all night and once it hit midnight she had to go home.

Gobstoppers are the toughest candy. It’s takes a long time for them to disolve in your mouth and you will hurt your teeth when you bite it.

leaning against your side, staring up at the stars.
a midnight picnic on a flower filled hillside.
precious moments with you.

sticks and stones may break my bones but words will /always/ hurt me.
people seem to forget the impact of their remarks, how one little comment can stick in the back of someone’s mind for ages.

a simple smile.
a kind gesture.
holding my hand.
holding me close.
keeping me safe.
making me happy.

long car rides into night time skies. adventures with family, seeing things i’ve never seen before, breakfast – not always good, but very welcome before yet another long car ride.

conflict follows her wherever she leads.
she argues with her boss over tedious tasks.
she argues with her mother over past due bills.
she argues with the cashier over pennies and dimes.

but conflict creates opportunity.

her boss gave her a raise.
her mother agreed to let her help pay bills.
her cashier finally agreed to keep the change.

laying there, my gaze pointed to the sky.
i see nothing but rays from the bright sun as i lay there.
finally at peace.

laying there, my gaze pointed to the sky.
i see nothing but the starry night sky as i lay there.
finally at peace.

thanks for putting a skylight in my mausoleum.

i am certain i love him.
he must be certain that he doesn’t love me.
i am certain i feel things for him that i’ve never felt before.
he must be certain that he is done feeling things for me.

late afternoon, maybe 2 o’ clock?
warm day.
green grass.
lots of happy kids.
holding hands.
happy together.
“you don’t know how long i’ve been waiting for this to happen.” he says.
“forever.” i reply.
if only forever lasted.

frosty winter days.
the frigid climate almost unbearable for humans, but somehow
we still destroy the ecosystem.
polar bears. penguins.
loosing ice, loosing their homes.
if a force we couldn’t control started stealing our homes, we wouldn’t be very happy, would we?

I want to have a homework pattern where I am consistent on doing and not procrastinating my homework.

I wish my walls were soudnproof so no one could hear my cries at night. I wish the walls of my mind weren’t so soundproof so that somebody could hear the pounding.

My education doesn’t need to selective. What I want is for people to stop telling me that selective is better and that I need to be better to be selected. I don’t want to be selected I just want to be invited to learn.

Monks are respectable becaues they show self control. The ultimate honor is being able to control the beast within ourselves and not the ability to control the outside world. It is pure power.

What is known and what is not? WHat is fact and what is fiction? How do we know, and how do we know we know? What the meaning of knowing really? If things that were once thought were considered to be known, that how can we say the we know anything?

SHe was my rival. Even though I realize that people don’t actually have rivals in real life, she was the closest thing to it. I almost wished to have a rival because she takes up all my anger, all my frustrations and channels it into one concentrated orb of hate.

Why nutrients again? Somehow, when the clock’s hand passes a day in one part of the world, it remains in the very same day in the other half. Times and time zones zap across, squiggling over borders and islands- somehow simplifying life (mainly webcalls!) and complicating the idea of time for second-graders. For example, a minute past midnight is considered morning. So how does the term “mid”night make sense? These concepts of day and night, noon and midnight, leap-year and New Year are purely human constructs created for ease of coordinating the globe and making sense of something they don’t understand. It’s fine to be in the construct, but make sure that you do know that there is something beyond our structures of time. That time and this world can be understood in a purely different possibility. That our construct is only one way of making sense of it all.. Just know the reasons why

the ghosts of the past come back to haunt. chilling memories of those you loved, then lost.
a shiver travels down your spine, recalling the past- when it was a happier time.

flapping wings, harmonious melodies spread through the breeze on otherwise silent spring days, flashes of color throughout the green foliage, graceful movement throughout the skies. music portrayed in living form.

hunger, desperation. striving for something that may not be there. love, money, food, attention. you crave these things, you search desperately for these things. whether your starvation will be cured or not is all up to the cruel goddess of fate.

beautiful sands and a flowing sea, the tide lapping at your toes. crabs scattering on the soft sands. the moon rising over the horizon, replacing the setting sun.
