Marco loved brushing his daughter’s hair. It’s a habit. Jean tired once to take over the job. But somehow, both the father and child didn’t allow him to touch the black flowing hair. Jean might think it’s an obsession by now, it’s adorable.

‘It’s not an obsession, Jean.’ The other man object haughtily while running the brush over his daughter’s dark locks.

The two-toned hair man could only roll his eyes in annoyance.

What is the past? The past is something we forget in the lives of human beings. The past can be sometimes good and sometimes bad. Though, most people would prefer the good and retain all the memories. Past can help us reflect.

The farmer walked through the field of wheat in his only pair of tattered old overalls contemplating the mysteries of the world.

He ran through the halls, weaving left and right, panting as he raced to his next class. He was going to be late and he simply could not afford another tardy. He zoomed past the yellow lockers of the third floor took a left only to run into the principle. “Young man, are you running through my halls? Detention, tomorrow after school.”

The science behind making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is so much more then slapping on some peanut butter and some jelly onto two pieces of bread. It’s the bread the texture of the peanut butter and the gooeyness of the jelly. With all three in the right proportion the sandwich can be glamorous.

Who can say they can relate to anybody? How do they know what the other person is feeling? All that say, “I know how you feel”, they know nothing. You weren’t born the way anybody else was. You never had the same experience as anybody else had.

suppose people change the way they think and live for one and another. suppose companies focus on their employees and their quality instead of profit. suppose i live my life happily and filled with love. suppose this all comes true and the world doesnt have any problems. whats next then? suppose this is all hoax.

i’m excited to be an alumni. but scared. being an alumni means that you’re done, that you have nothing left to do somewhere and so you’ve left, now left only to call yourself an alumni and reminisce about good times. i’m scared. but i think i’m ready.

It really hurts to get close–so close, so close–to something. And then to not reach it. I would have rather failed at the start, so that I could have quashed my hopes just then and there. But to get that close? And still see success slip through your fingers like fine sand? It just kills me.

Classic. She’s all red lips and high heels and pearl earrings. He hair is black, curled. He eyes gaze at me through twenty years. More than that. Classic.

I figure I should have seen it coming. The look on your face. The faint way she would smile whenever you were around. The way you two hid from me, from everyone. I should have seen it coming, but I felt blindsided when I saw you holding her hand. So brazenly. So proud. So in love. I fel

I was on one end of the bench, and he sat on the other end. We faced away from each other, staring off towards nothing, our eyes wet. Neither of us opened our mouths, or sad anything about the ever-expanding distance between us.

“You jelly?”
“No. No I am not jelly of you, or your life, or your husband, or the fact that you live in the nicest house in the neighborhood, or the fact that you basically have the perfect life.”

“I see. So you’re jelly.”

I dropped the package off at his house. Finally.

It’s full of his old things. And, despite the fact that we’ve been broken up for three months now, I stuck a note on the top that reads, “I love you.”

“New edition of the school paper is out tomorrow.”

“Does anyone read that thing anymore?”

“No. But they keep putting it out.”

“Who knows. Sometimes people do things they love regardless of whether or not other people love it too. I think that’s the nature of love.”

I did it on a whim;
I did it on a thought;
I did it all my life;
I did it all for him.

Wake up and see me kneeling over you, crying, my tear glimmering like silver beads as they drop on your chest; breaking apart like the dreams in my heart.

Great. This is going perfectly.

I glance over and notice that you are down on one knee and she–I say her name disdainfully in my head–has said yes to your proposal. Perfect. Everything is ruined.

I feel my knees give out, and I think I just might throw up.

I quickly discover that your skin is oddly soft. Despite all of your trials in the Marines, all of your rough-housing as a kid, and all the shit you put yourself through daily, you skin is soft. And inviting. And I accept the invitation.

“My life is one huge route.” She grumbles. From all the schedules and pain-staking planning she does, I’m inclined to agree.

“Get crazy.” I suggest, shrugging. She shakes her head, but that’s how I’ve been living my life for 27 years.

It’s obvious that there’s no harmony in this family. There’s no testosterone, just a whole bunch of estrogen floating around, arguing, the usual. A bunch of women put together is just no good. How do lesbians do it?

I wonder why family time is often seen as a good thing.

I can’t stand it.

I want to punch you in the face so bad.
I want to see the look on your face right before my fist hits your face and that smile is pummeled away.
But I won’t.
For now.

The woman at the counter keeps stuffing things into her fanny pack. I’m just staring, wondering why anyone would desire to look so ridiculous. Maybe one day she’ll look in the mirror and see what everyone else sees.

I sure hope so.

I don’t understand.

I’ll never understand.

The life you live is so simple.

But mine can never be.

My time is not over yet, so I will keep on writing about my lack of interest of thinking of something to write.
