alarming

this is a word used by the media in order to get people’s attention usually with a negative connotation. it also represents disgust from the perspective of elders when they talk about how the younger generation has self-destructive habits that will lead to the downfall of humanity. It also represents trends going down a slippery slope that are dangerous

Dusk is a place where we can all be happy knowing that everything that went before, mistakes and all, will be lost in the fading light.

planet

‘I totally believe that the planet will be scorched, the world ended, before I get a chance to be truly famous’. She looked off into the distance, getting as far as the wooden wall panelling. She truly meant it…narcissistic perhaps, but probably entirely true.

evidence

There was no evidence that the man had killed her brother. She just believed it to be true. However, she also knew that her brother was the other drunkard that night. There was much to be said about his drinking habits. Rather too much. Yet she couldn’t believe that he was gone. It was too painful.
She gulped down the latte and looked at the rain. The night was cold and dark. The street lights were all off now. It was a queer thing. Why’d the council have to switch them off at nights when they were needed the most. She wondered.
The man was a symbol of her failure. That there was no forgiving mankind’s last sins.

village

I like to think that when I grow old, I’ll live in a small country village, where I can reminisce about the city life and raise some kids in boring oblivion, so that they’ll be chomping at the bit to get some excitment when they’re old enough to move back somewhere urban…yet will hopefully retain a pleasant country manner…

coal

Coal. Apparently China is sitting on as much coal as has ever been used in human history, and is opening up a new coal plant at the rate of one a week. I find this an incredible statistic, don’t you? I suppose they have a lot of people that need both power and employing so it makes a great deal of sense….

feathered

I remember the first time I saw the link fossil between afeathered bird/dinosaurs. I was 8 years old and it was the first time I could see the link between this prehistoric past (Which I thought, being 8, was totally awesome and mysterious) and the times I live in now.

Methinks that was the beginning of the end of childhood.
