I had malice burning in my veins. I wanted to watch the world burn, I wanted to be the last person alive. I wanted to watch the weak collapse and the strong rise above. I wanted world domination.

The bandages were always there. She never took them off as she was too afraid to show her scars. Afraid of the looks she would get. The bandages were her only hope of hiding. She never wanted to be seen. She wanted it all to go away.

typing on the typewriter is fun. it reminds me of the good old days. everything about a type writer is interesting. i wish we still used them. the internet is around nowadays and no one uses typewriters. instead everyone just has macbooks. however, i’m kind of happy we have computers because we have stumble upon! i love stumbling. i feel like i find out great things about the world that way. i really enjoy typing random things in this word box. i never really get the chance to do this. if i were typing on a typewriter i wouldn’t be able to backspace and make any corrections. this would probably look a lot different.

I saw the expression on her face. Nothing could stop her. I smiled to myself as I observed my little girl take off on her bike full-speed down the sidewalk, regardless of the incoming storm clouds. Just like her mother. Driven by an intangible and instoppable force. The air was warm and comforting, in a way. I look over to Shayne and tilt my head, exchanging a warm eye-smile that only the two of us would understand. God, do I love my husband. It’s moments like these that make me appreciate my beautiful family more than ever.

He smiled down at me with a devilish grin. As he reached up to loosen his tie, I tightened my grip on the sheets. Was this really happening? I observed as he peeled off his suit, piece by piece. Tie, jacket, shirt, belt…

He slithered into the room with a look in his eye hard enough to kill. A chill ran down my spine. I knew what was coming and I couldn’t do anything about it. He locked the door behind him and continued stalking toward me.

The sun shone silver above our technological heads. My receptors screamed “SOLAR.” Was this really happening? I didnt think mankind would ever actually make it to this step. I looked down at my wired-up hand. Ever since professor Goodwin had thought up the idea of enhancing all senses through technology, the human race had changed. And I didn’t like it. I looked over at Sahn. “You ready to do this?” He stared. “You seriously wanna risk being rebel-labeled? The consequences are harsh.” “Yes.”

The gong was large, shiny, and intimidating. I looked back to my friend who gave an encouraging nod to go ahead and hit it. Should I?

The gong bellowed out its mellow sound, and everyone turned attentopn to him immediately. God, did he look sexy in that shade of red. His face showed leadership and determination. I wanted to run up and kiss him right there in front of everyone. I didn’t care about how he sweetly scolded me every time I risked us being discovered. I listened along with everyone else as he announced the Yellow Scarf army was approaching quickly, and we all needed to either prepare for battle or find shelter ASAP. Blood coarsed through my veins. I felt the danger. But then the realization struck that he’s going to be leaving to battle. Battle meant risk. I felt as if I had been punched in the stomach. I ran up.
“No! Baby you can’t get hurt!”
His face grew cold and snapped toward me. As soon as he saw the tear winding down my cheek his expression softened.
“Don’t worry darling. I will keep you safe.”
His warm embrace only encouraged my tears. Thus, my visit to China was looking like nothing but a mistake, yet again.
