grandfather

The door to the grandfather clock had been closed for years but this morning when Jake woke up it was slightly ajar. He couldn’t understand what had moved it. Peeking inside the door the ripe odour of age came through and he was pulled in clutching at the sides as he tumbled towards a strange new world.

commissioned

Brian had commissioned a piece on the latest scandal at the police station. The detective inspector had allegedly tampered with evidence on one of the biggest trials of the year. But there was no proof. The proof of his tampering had been tampered with itself. The police commissioner could do nothing but bring in the civilians.

listening

I’m currently listen to J Tillman.
The soft sounds of his guitar and gentle voice are making this snowy really quite pleasant. I want to use these sounds as the basis for a short play.

boots

Sometimes I like to wear cowboy boots.
I come from a very “country” place so this isn’t really out of the ordinary.
Most people wouldn’t expect it from me, but I like them.
They make me feel powerful.

bricks

Man being a bricklayer was a bad career choice

Yeah, I hear ya. But when you got a baby on the way you just gotta do whats available.

Heard that. I’m only doing this to support my cocaine addiction.

cave

Gwe were in a cave when a bat flew in and grabbed my hair. I screamed! My friend ran out of the cave but he tripped on the flashlight that I had dropped. When he fell, he broke his wrist and then he screamed. So… Our trip to the cave was a real scream!

satisfy

Satisfaction is everything you think you want condensed into on convenient ball of hope slammed into the net. ‘I’ve scored!’, you think. But there are so many more goals to go…

medical

The walls had been stripped and the furniture was taken away. On the floor, balls of lint, hair and dust drifted across his feet. The scent lingered, indescribably. There were definite recollections being parsed but of what he wasn’t sure.

curse

Cursed is he who cannot bring the fire down from the mountain said the goat to the little man. How did this goat get so wise thought the man? Not all goats are born equal, unlike man. And yet as he was talking the goat lost his footing and tumbled a thousand steps, bouncing off each rock as he went.

shelter

A sheltered existence is all we have to protect us from the harsh realities of the external world. But shelter can be warmth. Especially when it’s tarpaulin, set on fire by an angry seagull.

lightning

Lighting is brilliant energy. Bright amazing life force shot from the sky to the world below. It strikes the earth with its fury and leaves a wake of destruction.

violent

blood gushing, bones cracking, bruises and blisters. These are the things i expect when I hear the word violent. But violence isnt always physical. It takes many forms and often is more dangerous when it can’t be seen or felt. rather it is interpreted. Its not always as easy to spot and more often then not it goes unnoticed. Its sad really how often it eats away at peoples hearts and minds. Relationships falter and time can’t heal the damage.

sidewalk

Of course, the sidewalk glistened with melted snow. What you couldn’t see, not anymore, any way, as the years of rubber, of dirt, of blood and rain and tears that had fallen on it. Let the sidewalk never speak the sorrow it knows.

classic

this word is misused so much. “THAT IS SUCH A CLASSIC!” “oh, really, the cartoons you were watching five years ago are classic?” I can’t stand it.

napkin

He sat in the dinner, hands on his napkin. Pondering when a familiar face might show up. The waitress refilled his coffee, again and again. No one came.

transmit

Thoughts can be transmitted. Like, you can think something, and before you’ve even done anything about it, someone near you or around you can sort of tell something’s up. I founmd this about food. Like I knew I wanted something to eat, and someone said “You’re about to get up” or something… this was a while ago I can’t remember exactly what happened

piano

wow….piano. again. im seriously considering finding the creators of this website, going to their homes, and sitting them down for a very long talk about just how ridiculous and LAME their idea of a “creative” website idea is. someone should do it. i kinda feel bad for them in all reality because clearly their parents did a terrible job.
