outlet

I love to go outlet shopping. The stores generally have cheaper prices. It is a fun day shopping in so many stores. I love a whole day of shopping, eating lunch and spending the day with family.

insults

“People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”, insults hurt feelings and are not kind.We should all aim to be kind to one another to live in a more peaceful and pleasant world. Insults have no good result, no mater how you look at it. The person giving the insult cannot feel good about themselves, just as the person on the receiving end is made not to feel good.

vaccine

The vaccine wasn’t available. I sat on the chair in the waiting room, staring at the back of my father’s head. The words all seemed to jumble together. How was I ever going to survive without this? The room began to spin. The dust from the chairs filling the room, choking me. I would die of this first.

concert

The place I’d like to be in a few weeks. She’s the famous witch. Her voice, unlike any other, haunts my dreams. She won’t come again, and I’ll miss it. Oh to have ease and money to attend concerts whenever I wish.

steps

they go down to the beach where I grew up.
Steep, uneven and concrete. they are shadowed in trees. At the bottom the dark passage opens to a bright beach, the light reflecting off the stones

sobbing

The sky was sobbing
Grieving for a time
when people looked up
and breathed
and loved the beauty of it all
A time before the machine
the grey and mechanical clankings
Before wind up people
grinding gears
and faces that cursed
a healing rain

bunch

of beuatiful flowers that were left on the porch. Margeret had no idea who sent them and since they had no note she couldnt even begin to guess. She had a secret wish for it to be the handsome shop clerk she had spoken too at the nightclub yesterday, but that seemed a little farfetched. Whoever it was seemed to know her favorite colour

watch

Tick tick tick tick tick tick tick
No pause between
Just
ticking and ticking and ticking
and ticking and ticking and
breathing
and why is the watch
breathing
and how is the watch
breathing
and how is the breathing
watch
watching me
and breathing
and how does it
do these things
when it is just a watch?

father

My father is a space lord. My father works all night. My father is always bored. My father holds me tight. I try to bring us closer. I never want to fight. I am not a poser. I just want us to see the light.

illuminate

A dim backlight casts upon his face. Teeth glimmer in the dark. Freshly brushed. The handcuffs rub the victim’s wrists raw. They’re on too tight. The spotlight moves, casts upon the detective’s feet. And that is the last thing he ever saw.

honor

“Dishonor on you, dishonor on your cow.” He longs to bring honor back to his name, but the scar on his face betrays his betrayal. He ties up his rucksack as he knows he will be gone for years. His uncle is the only one who believes in him, but he knows that honor isn’t everything. “I will bring honor to my family.”

witch

The white witch is the one of my dreams. She finds me when I’m sleeping, and caresses me with her icy fingers. I always wonder why she comes to me when she does – is it because this morning I wept in the arms of my ex when I shouldn’t have? Or is it because something exciting is just around the corner waiting for me? I still don’t know whether she is there to harm or protect my dreams, when I’m asleep and when I’m awake.

disturbed

“Kill, kill, kill.” There’s something in my head. It twitches my brain and whispers epithets. “Kill, kill, kill.” Hahahaha. They’re so funny sometimes. Hey, even I don’t know its gender. It curdles my stomach acid and drips into my lungs with poison. My eyes twitch all the time. “Kill, kill, kill.”

powder

Powder cakes on her face. Puff, puff, puff. More powder, more layers. More, more, more. More powder, more power. She fights in her own way. Fight, fight, fight. The powder makes her sneeze. Achoo, achoo, achoo. And then she sees a reflection of the knife glinting behind her.

fortress

My fortress is strong. My insides are weak. I built my army cell by cell. My turrets reach the sky, but there is no look-out standing atop them. Thieves search for weakened entrances. I can only see so much at once. If someone finds the cracks–even just one–I am through.

composed

I am not as composed as everyone thinks I am. I fall apart when no one is looking. But a life in the public has taught me how to hide my emotions well.

clip

Clip like a paper clip, it holds things together perfects. Such a simple tool to fix a complicated problem. I wish clips fixed relationships, fixed broken heart, broken families.

national

All encompassing. There’s nothing out there, or so she’s told. They say that the country is the only one who survived, but she’s been reading. She’s heard that there’s something else out there, and she wants to know more.

scarred

Broken and bruised, scarred, invisible wounds that haunt me every day and night. I close my eyes and I’m forced to face the scars I try so hard to ignore. To pretend don’t exist.

rocker

You have put in the corner
the old rocking chair
that whispers as it goes back and forth
You have decided
on responsibility
and calm browns
Instead of being a rocker
with spiky, purple hair.

her old rocker on the rickety porch with the picket fence that guarded the brown grass swayed with the whispers of soft winds. the holey screen door slamming shut on a house that is empty now

gardener

There once was a gardener. Ever since he was a little boy he loved to play in the dirt and bring things to life. His favorite plant is the rose bush. It is very difficult to care for and prickly, but it produces beautiful flowers that women love.

» Posted By Stephanie On 04.09.2015 @ 10:54 am

a gardener is someone who brings life up from the earth. They plant seeds. They nurture the seeds. They watch life unfold over and over. And the gardener knows of death. Death begets life.

terminal

They said terminal
and under the fluorescent lights that made
even healthy people pale and yellow
I thought
about airplanes
and final destinations
and goodbyes with eyes set on adventure.
I closed my eyes and thought of mountains
raised high into the thinnest air
