My life is far from over, but I’ve been around long enough to pick up a few things. One, no one is ever as innocent as they like to pretend to be. And two, Fate is a sadistic little witch. She really relishes in fucking people over. Why else would there be so much unnecessary pain and bloodshed in the world? I’d like to meet her. I want to hear her tell me that my little brother deserved to drown in that well. That he was “destined” to be bullied day after day for something he can’t even control. That his death was “meant to be”. I want to see her sick, twisted little smile; hear her deranged laughter. I’ll tear it right off her evil face and then I’ll be the one laughing.

Did he dare? Would he be able to face whatever demons he would find if he ventured down that path? There was only one way to find out. Sam closed his eyes and jumped into oblivion.

Ha. Normal. As if. “Normal” is a myth. How can you go around saying everyone is unique and special in their own way and still call people “normal”? It’s fucking ridiculous.

It was such a simple statement. Just three little words. But they hit me like a thousand concrete bricks.

Hearts are so fragile. They can be broken by the simplest of words.
“I’m sorry,” he’d said, and I was left standing alone in the busy subway station.

There are few things I can remember about my grandma. I was only six when she died. I remember she always used to smell like roses. She used to pet my hair whenever I did something good. Her house was in a constant state of clutter, but in a nice, lived-in way. I remember the little elephants dancing on the walls of her kitchen. I must have spent hours naming them while listening to my grandma singing as she cooked us dinner. She loved Frank Sinatra. Sometimes she’d pick me up and spin me all around the kitchen. I loved her so much. I still do. I just wish I could remember more of her.

Some people think I’m a control freak. They’re wrong. I just like to feel like I know what’s going on, you know? I like to be on top of things. But I can be flexible! Just because I’m not that into change doesn’t mean I can’t.
