informed

It is important to be informed. Now matter what side of the isle you vote on…please, and I am begging you…do your own research. If you get your info from a talking head who is paid to mislead and misinform you…then you ARE of the problem.

relate

I can’t relate to this world anymore. Politics are evil, good people hide behind God’s skirt and do nothing and Mother Earth is fed up with us all. How do we turn this around in time?

fields

I dream of fields. Big, spacious, wide open fields. Bright orange California Poppies in full bloom and giant, sturdy trees swaying in the light breeze. I can ride my horse for miles through the blue bonnets growing in the noon day sun. This is my go to place, my private happy place. I may go there soon…it is waiting for me.

soundproof

I wish I could soundproof my brain from my memories. Blocking out the old regrets, sadness and shock that will not stop popping up in my memory. Why don’t the good things I have experienced re-play in my head in high rotation instead of the pain that blindsides me on a daily basis.

lack

There is a fine line between lack and sufficient. Some people have everything and it isn’t nearly enough. Others just get by and are so thankful for what they have. Which one are you?

forklift

My brother bought me an alarm clock for Christmas. It had all the bells and whistles like the time and date which was designed to keep me from waking up on Saturdays and thinking it was a work day. What I wouldn’t know is that the alarm sounded just like a forklift backing up, with that loud beeping noise. So the first time I used it that sound came on and not only woke me up…but I rolled out of bed and onto the floor thinking I was going to be run over by a forklift. LOL

facsimile

It’s not counterfeit money I told the judge…it’s just a pretty good facsimile of paper money.

beard

Shelly had always been very feminine and well groomed. Money had come easy to her, born into it and learned much from it and about it. Life had been well planned out and predictable. But today a ray of sunshine running through the window and onto the magnified mirror she was casually looking at revealed a horror. She was growing a hair on her chin. The kind Little Red Ridinghood pointed out to the Big Bad Wolf. Not a soft, short hair either but a large, stiff WHISKER! The kind no one in her social circle would be caught dead talking about. A post menopausal facial hair that screamed “You are old and grey and sporting a beard now so either get used to it or go get that thing waxed off”.

She was his beard for the night. Trying to make it look good, being very affectionate yet not cloying. Scanning the room she tried to pick out his latest conquest, the one he would go home with later. Being a beard for her employer was a great responsibility and came with great reward. One slip up and she could go from the board room to the mail room by dawn.

cages

They say, let’s build a wall to keep every one out…but in the end…is it there to keep us in?

olive

Olive was a lovely girl. Tanned skin kissed by the sun from hours spent outdoors. Walking through the orange groves, hours sailing on her boat. Her life was complete. Nothing more to ask the Gods above for than more time to enjoy this beautiful life she had created.

climate

The climate in the room ran from hot to cold. So many people at this party, so many personalities and agendas. I can’t wait to get out of here before I die of frost bite or melt like a bird flying too close to the sun.

noise

Turn down the volume in your head, block out the distracting noise bouncing between the brain cells. In the quiet moments, that is where you hear your guiding voice. The one that is never wrong. Call it intuition or your higher self. Much wiser than us. It is all knowing, all seeing. Listen and let it guide you to the best version or the clearest vision you have of yourself. Peace and love to you all.

clarify

Let me clarify the butter while you take the bread out of the oven…I can’t wait to eat dinner, it all smells so good!

barbeque

I don’t like to use a propane barbeque but they are so much easier to than coal. Yesterday was the 4th of July and that is my favorite holiday and that day isn’t complete without a few thoughts about our country and history and sacrafice that others have made and BBQ’d ribs with potato salad, baked beans and corn on the cob. Followed by fireworks!

beach

Living at Zuma Beach in Malibu wasn’t what I though it would be. Nothing like you see in the movies. More breath taking when the full moon rolled the waves in at high tide pounding the shore. My first full moon there I rolled off the bed in the middle of the night thinking the waves were crashing into my bedroom. The sound was so loud!

rebels

I don’t use this word much. Ironic for a rebel like myself…who rebels against the wrongs of the world.

thermometer

New car, top down, sun blazing across the desert road…thermometer reads red hot. Should have bought that other car.

Her blue eyes look at the tall stranger, as she screens him, letting her woman’s intuition do the work for her. Good guy? Or bad?

burning

Burning desire rules each person. The insatiable need for love, fame, fortune and attention. To eat the cookie, to be better than the next person, to be seen as the most powerful person in the room. Burning desire will be the death of us all.

deity

Money has become the deity of choice. People have no respect for the Earth or other people. Money is their God.

unhealthy

Not living your dream is unhealthy for your soul and relationships. Procrastinating, second guessing and being just damned right sure you can’t achieve your dream keeps you from being who you need and want to become. So stand up, take a deep breath and jump in with both feet. What is the worse that can happen? You end up right where you started. But the best chance of becoming who you are meant to be is also a possibility!

Darkness falls on us all. Sometimes it is in the space around us…sometimes it is the space within.

Saturday at the market place is a perfect way to start the day. Buy some fresh veggies, have a glass of fresh squeezed juice. And don’t forget to wear your prettiest hat!

Transform what does not enhance your life. Let go of old beliefs…they only drag you down.

tale

It was a tall tale to begin with. Full of too many details and hesitations. All fabricated to make her believe he didn’t cheat on his once adoring wife…but she knew he did…and he knew he did…and nothing will ever be the same again.

domestic

I have been forced into the role as a domestic, just by my gender assignment. Birth right? I don’t think so. But how do you unplug? How do you say, nicely, “get your own dinner, clean up the toilet you use and by the way, how about you putting dinner on the table for me tonight?”. Yeah, right…
