beware

Of the night! Of the poet that lies to you. Beware of the enemy that does not show himself or the never mistaking friend. Beware of a heart that has never broken or a mind that has not had a dream. Beware of gum on a hot road. Of a crack in the ice. Beware but not weary! Beware of the big bad wolf.

fried

Lots of grease, covering up beautiful vegetables…yet deep fried pickles have been tried, and I have to admit, I love them. Probably would love the asparagus also.

Emily Post. Sometimes a necessary evil. Its always good to have it, but as with everything its super easy to go overboard with it.

plague

locust. Biblical. The Pharoah in Exodous. Frogs, Killing of the first born. Its an interesting passage, there are things about God that i will never understand. This being one of them. What would God be if i understood him? Not God….

want

Want. There are so many things I want, but so few that I need. I can never seem to tell the difference, though.

held

I love the pool. The only place I have held my breath for long periods of time and without fear. The silence is beautiful. The water cool, refreshing and cleansing.

bulb

Tulip bulbs are sitting in my garage waiting to be planted. I don’t have time. My son is in the hospital and I’m home with the 6 other kidlets while my husband stays with him. I’d love to wake up one spring morning and be surrounded by tulips but I bet it won’t be this coming spring! I need 48 hour days!
