musical

Lyrical melodies to guide your day. It’s the thing that pulls everything together and tells the story. It also embodies positivity and hope. It sings of action and creativity.

golf

My husband loves to golf. During the summer, he usually golfs every Wednesday afternoon with my dad, his dad, and a few friends. He also golfs during the weekends quite a bit. Golfing is a bit expensive but I’m glad he found something he enjoys.

drop

drip drip drip, they keep falling, there was no end. each drop was another poisoned thought pouring out of her insecure mind. they burned a path down her cheek, branding a strong stinging sensation that felt like the whip of his words clashing against her. her face was heating up and fire inside her was silently raging. there was no storm that could put it out.
drip drip drip

confident

im so lonely and depressed. confidence isnt a word in my dictionary anymore and i dont even now what im doing with my life anymore. i wish someone would care for me and if not then it seems better for me to just die. some days are good and other make me feel like a piece of trash thats just lying on the ground as other people pass by and look at it once and then keep walking. but thats life i guess and i dont want to complain too much or ill feel guilty about it and then emotionally and mentally punish myself more. i hope things get better but i dont know if theres any hope anymore for me

stem

It was the root. Leaves branched out of it. All connected. Just like the world. A big tree. With its connections and branches stuck to the stem. The stem anchored by the root. May the root never fade. The connection never lost

fumes

The sky was dark. The moon no where to be seen. The night was illuminated by a raging orange and red. Angry flames engulfed the house on the corner of the street. Screams, shouts, cries.

No escape

patrol

The road patrol roster was lurking in the back of my mind. I knew it had to be done, but there were other, more pressing things I had to deal with. Thirty kids were waiting for me on the deck; I gathered the necessary bits of paper and set off.

fractures

My family has fractured. With the loss of the big trees, mom and dad, the branches have scattered like during a hurricane. The debris is all over the place. I am not sure how I feel about this.

monitor

I am looking at a monitor right now.. wishing it was 17 inches instead of 14. Talking about monitors.. 60 seconds is a long time to think about a word like this. I haven’t a clue as to what else I should be writing.

castle

Far away in a place where imagination runs wild and people live to frolic and fantasize. I dream of it. Up in the sky where someone resides… someone I have yet to meet. A castle. A dream. A love from far away.

violet

Violet is a lighter shade of my favorite color. I would never wear violet, but brilliant purple i adore. Violet i would imagine would be a good color for sheets or bedding in a young girl’s room. But not to wear.

assisted

Assisted is a great word. Assisted is they way to get my sons out of bed. They need to be assisted out of bed every morning. I like to use a cold glass of water. They don’t lioke to be assisted out of bed. They like to stay there as long as possible. Being assisted out of bed is not the way to get out of bed at my house.

styrofoam

My God do i hate styrofoam. Styrofoam attacks me everyday at work. It’s messy, stat-icky, and such a nuisance. It’s gets into everything and clings onto my skin and is such a pain to get off. I really don’t enjoy discovering styrofoam in my bra when i go to take a shower.

luxurious

Beautiful, relaxing, rich. It reminds me of the way a celebrity lives their life. But I think we can all live luxurious lives, whether it means material things or intelligence. Writing for example is luxurious to me. To know that someone is out there reading my stories becomes luxurious to my life.

gasoline

The price of gasoline is skyrocketing. Soon, many people will have to forgo any trips but those deemed essential because their budgets won’t allow them to take any extra trips. I worry about how the increasing gas prices will increase inflation – all goods and services that rely on fuel are going to become more expensive.

success

It is what we try to get to; it is where we want to be. How it is measured is different for each of us, but we shouldn’t use our measure for others. Win a race, make a goal, get to the end – where ever we get is personal. Sometimes just getting through is succes!

needle

You always tell me about Mother. Her tinkling laugh, her rounded eyes, her golden, curling locks.
I think you’ve forgotten that I knew her too.
I remember when she sat by the fire, sewing Teddy’s ear back on. I watched her needle glimmer in the firelight. I watched her needle fall.
I think you’ve forgotten that I was there when she died.
