It’s an unusual thing to possess. But it wasn’t uncommon, just odd. No one dared to talk about it, it wasn’t right to express such a thing. Yet it didn’t stop the fascination behind it.

The institute i was sent to as a young girl was darker than the alley behind the bowling club I was caught selling coke in. It was colder than the time our heating kicked the bucket and my goldfish froze to death. It was harsher than the rough gravel I grazed my knees on when I was ten.

It’s dark. There isn’t anyone around for miles. She sees a statue hidden beyond the trees. It’s beautiful. It’s alone, like her.

It was when the snow melted that the world seemed okay again. With the snow, anxiety and fear and hatred melted away with it. The world seems nicer when the snow melts, because everything bad always seems to fade along with it.

It was an accident
She didn’t do it on purpose
She wouldn’t have
She couldn’t have
She would have told me
She would have said
She wasn’t okay
She told someone else
She went away
It wasn’t an accident

He sings a song called “Chili Pepper”
It’s about a girl he loves.
And it’s cute.

What does it take
to overcome
a feeling a being
this numb?
A feeling that isn’t
a feeling at all
But more of a cycle
A burden
A fall

The twang in his voice was just one thing I never got used to
Or tired of
He’d read his poetry out loud
While we sat on his porch
The one with the tin roof
Listening to the rain and sharing a cigarette.
He always had that bluegrass drawl
And that southern twang
And I’ll never forget the way his voice sounded
When he rattled off those rhymes
and stole my heart in the process

there are bottles standing on the wall, each bubbling with a delicious fluid which chimed a melodramatic ending–a poison, only fit for a princess. red lips, a heartfelt goodbye, a worried glance. death.

Sleeping in a ditch isn’t so bad…
Having no home isn’t so bad
Wandering from place to place really isn’t so bad…..
It’s the looks I get from people
The whispers from parents
“Oh don’t go near that man”
The assumption that I’m somehow more dangerous
More likely to strike
When in reality,
I am more docile than most
Of the people that you have running the show
The ones who took my home and my freedom away.
That’s what is bad about being homeless.

Her eyeliner was smudged just a little bit. It was nothing noticeable to most people….. but I have a habit of studying her every detail. Everything about her is just so stunning to me.

Withered was her soul,
Red, bloodshot, her eyes
That smile… it wasn’t real.
I could tell….
And the way she tugged at her long sleeves
Making certain that they didn’t slide up
She hid something….

Hush now, my little lamb
Don’t cry anymore
You see, I’m almost done
It’s time to be quiet now
And stop that screaming
Because you’re almost complete
My darling, I’m finished
And you’ve begun to grow cold
But I’ll love you like this
As I did when you weren’t mine
Your blushing cheeks have lost their tint
The rose colour replaced porcelain
As the blood left your face and slipped
Oh, so gracefully
Onto my floor.
My angel, you’ve stopped breathing
With those last few breaths you took
You became even more beautiful
Now I can’t imagine my life without you
And, now, I won’t have to.
I love you so, my little lamb.

he grasped my wrist and pulled me close to him. “why….? why would you do this to yourself?”
my blood was smeared on his t-shirt and all I could think about was that his shirt would be ruined…… and it would just be one more thing that got messed up because of me.

We’re always being told
What we’re supposed to learn
And for at least twelve years
We are force-fed
Useless bullshit
That they think we need to know

half mean fad of something like 50 percent, it could be like half a pie or half an apple it can also be written as 1/2 and people can be half and half like half man half woman, they can also be half dog half cat which would be just weird.

Half an apple
Half a sandwich
Half of everything
to become half my size
I’m fat and gross
and need to stop
eating more than half

The decorations on the table were enough to distract from the motive behind his gaze. She wasn’t safe…

I looked out at the field, torn apart by hatred. I looked behind me, for the support of the best friends I had ever known…..
They weren’t there. Each one of them had given their lives today….
Why should I still be here, when they were so much braver than I?

Having to get rid of something. To throw it away. To gather items you no longer need and putting it away for new things.

The bright lights cast a glow on his face like she had never seen before. Pulling herself away from the warmth of his arms she took one long look, drinking him before turning and running away. Laughter on her lips and arms wide open, she embraced the night.

The flares on the side of the road warned cars to keep clear. The glass was spread across the road, like a fine sheet of snow. She was dead, and I had killed her.

just one single heart
beating in utter silence
emptiness and no more time
a pistol
one bullet
solitary bullet
a gasp
a thud
no more lonely
no more solitary

Hearts intertwined
So tightly they begin to bleed
The love these two share
Is slowly killing them
And they have no idea.
They’ll die before they see
That what they had was
Just as fake and meaningless
As their worthless lives.

I think romanticism is really overplayed. I’ll settle for a cute little teddy bear over an extravagant dinner and flowers anyday. Really, I just want to know they care.

He pressed his chest to mine, but what came next was not what you’re thinking. He leaned into me and whispered, “I love you, and I always will.” With a shuffle, he held in his hand, a ring.

Pouches are very small and kind of annoying. Sure, they hold stuff but the stuff has to be small, and most things aren’t small. Big pouches are fine, but handbags are much more helpful. Seriously, it’s not that hard to get something big. And then we’re on the topic of pockets and things.
