chaos

My heart strings tugged by the ants beneath the soil. They ponder about the noise it creates… echo-y, with a slight screech.

received

this is weird i’ve never done this before. It makes me think of gifts, but also gifts with strings attached. People can be so judgemental about giving. I give you this so you owe me. But to receive should not be to owe. Receiving should be able to be without shame and with love.

stolen

I feel as if my summer has been stolen away from me by technology and time. Both of which we rely on. I blink for a sheer second, and the summer is over.

develop

I want to develop myself into a person that I am truly proud of and confident in. I want to feel like I am worthy, and that I am doing something right. I want to develop myself into someone who doesn’t care so much about what others think of me, yet am still wanted and appreciated by others. I just want indirect acceptance for being who I truly am.

American

The definition of patriotism,
both required and expected
a life filled with sacrifice
and twisted beauty
that both enchants me
and terrifies me.

controller

I feel as if I am trapped in these four walls, with no way out. I can no longer think freely, and am constantly struggling to break free. I am tired of being controlled, of being a puppet; of being disposable.

influence

anything
and
everything;
the colors
of
culture
the wonderland
of words
the substance
of
new ideas
you.

production

i can hardly think straight
ever since you left
every fiber of my mind
has been unraveled

sealed

my lips are locked
nothing can escape
I have no trust
even in these four walls
that I call my refuge
my safety
my only place of true freedom
I can’t bring myself
to let it go
to stop lying to myself
to forget
and move on.
it is a burden
I will carry for the rest of my life
until I die
I will never escape
never fly away
always weighed down
practically drowning
in my regret
living in constant
chaotic fear

adapted

They adapted until there was nothing left about them that was human. I didn’t recognize the beings standing in front of me, they weren’t my friend. They weren’t my enemies. They weren’t anything to me. But they saw me as their enemy, and for that, I was about to die.
It was time that I adapted.

biblical

The rains poured down like a biblical tempest. Every critter around crept into the house, made it feel even more crowded, the walls closing in as they swelled with the damp, her clammy forehead sticking to the air which was sticking to the walls, and everywhere an insect crawling in the corner.

complexity

i don’t know
what it is about you that makes me
feel like the inside of me
is made up of tangled hair
your hair
you’re so simple

taboo

Taboo. Such a silly world we live in, isn’t it? We have to distinguish the normal from the totally unnatural, what shouldn’t be discussed at the dinner table while contemplating whether or not you should ask your family to watch you in the school play.

tales

We’ve heard plenty of tales like this since we entered the Fire Sands. Every crackpot with drool running down his chin wants us to go running after this pale child.

terrain

The graphics were amazing. It was a mountain terrain, ice covered outcroppings and stone temples. She sat on the bed and as watched as his hands flickered over the keys, clicking on screen. They didn’t speak.

lamb

The snow is white as fleece, drifting through the air
the ground hard as bones beneath its blanket
and I wait for March to go out like a lion.

The food on the table is some sort of gourmet fake lamb shit. Sheila likes to think she’s a vegan but she doesn’t even like vegetables. Fake like her boobs and her smiles. Fakemother.

weakling

She lies nestled in a bundle of blankets, a weakling child who moves mountains of men, the light in her eyes speaks of stars and singing. Weak she may be to the wind and the rain but there is something within.

murder

A murder of crows caw in the tree outside my window. It seems they’ve just arrived. Nevertheless their presence does nothing to fill your absence; it is an irony in this world of constant comings and goings. I would not have traded you for the world.

plays

The record plays fuzzy saxophone, spinning around to a final click. Silence falls on the room like a black velvet curtain. A second click, but this time it’s the hammer of a pistol.

teeth

teeth are white and shiny. nom nom nom. teeth help you eat. if you eat bad stuff or do bad thing to your mouth and body teeth will fall out. sometimes when you’re in love and you kiss people, your teeth hit each others. and if you really love each other you laugh it off and the kiss after is even better than the one before.

miracle

Miracle, what a gift. What a word. Who would have thought the origin was this. The ancient being in front of me. The opposite of a miracle in my point of view. A woman who looked young, but was impossible old. Her name was miracle.

props

Major props to my bro Matt. He did a keg stand for like an hour last night and I thought he was going to die. But it’s all good he’s just hungover now. Seriously though, MAJOR PROPS. Especially since he woke up with like six girls in his room. What a party animal.

doorknob

doorknobs are silly because you should just have to push a door open, you know? like what if i’m carrying some heavy-ass shit that requires all of my bicep strength? but what if someone walks in on me taking a wizz. i guess doorknobs are clever after all :/ i’ll never question what ‘is’ again.

railroad

As I came upon a railroad, I thought to myself about the days in my favorite summer. 1967, in June, I met who I still believe today is my soul mate. We fell in love by that railroad and Ill never forget it.

saturday

All week I look forward to one place, not just a physical one but a space of time and location colliding together to create my happiness. And that space is waking up next to you on a Saturday morning. I can breath the sunlight and just forget about all the weekday worries. I wait for Saturday.

transform

This is an amazing movie! I love Transformers. Just kidding, I dont’ really like the movie at all, but I couldn’t think of anything else to write. Maybe just transforming would be sweet! I want to be other things in the blink of an eye. That would be sweet! Wouldn’t that be sweet?
