true is a word that can mean a lot of things like staying true to yourself or telling the truth or even something that is the real deal or even true love.

I had to go to the market one day. I need to pick up sausage and peppers to make a yummy fmaily dinner. Sausage and peppers are a great filling meal and feeds many people. Serve it with bread and a salad and you’ve got a complete meal.

I still cant get over the fact that i havent seen you in months and i still feel like it was yesterday when you had your arms around me, whispering cute things in my ear. I miss you now more than ever; now that i know that when i get back, you will not be there. Its kind of surreal but still true, i can feel it. I sit here, hopeless, writing this with my heart in my hands, hoping that you feel the same way but knowing you dont. I miss you and still love you. I hope we can meet again and start all over.

There’s a book called ALL FALL DOWN by Ally Carter that’s about embassies in an imaginary country. It’s quite interesting and I think it’s one of her best books to date. The series is called Embassy Row. Check it out. It releases January 27th 2015.

He flattened the hair with his fingers carefully, looking into the mirror. It was late, that was all he knew. His eyes were blown out and he couldn’t remember exactly what he had smoked or drunk. It didn’t matter did it though? Nobody would be there to scold him about it anyway.

i have been graced; please allowed to feel gratitude, express gratitude, remember all the good things I have and not be so concerned with what I don’t. But also to reach toward things I would like to have in my life and remember the kindness of others, appreciate what they give and not be so concerned with what they can’t or won’t give me.

my aunt liz was a great person; she worked for the phone company, was promoted to supervisor and had that job for 20 years; women didn’t get promoted very often. Finally, she did get promoted. She brought up her son after the divorce from his dad. She always had an apartment; I found that very exotic because I was used to living in a house.

as is an acorn to a mighty oak; oakland; strong as an oak. I’m oakay (ha ha); an oak tree shading us, looking down upon us; leaves drifting down from the oak tree.

not the least in the least last but not least so for the least of these is that enough uses of the word “least” to say the least.

I’m running out of “leasts”; less is more. What you do for the least of these you do for me.

Hmmm . . . such a prosaic word; I didn’t expect it to stump me (or that 60 seconds would be so long).

To say the least . . .

i played the tambourine in a band; my boyfriend was the guitarist; then i became a dancer so that makes me a chorine who had once used a tambourine — ha ha — aren’t i the witty one.

My doggie would like to play the tambourine — but he has to sniff it first; then he will shake his booty and the tambourine too.

Zebra cakes are silly names for the delicious striped delicacies on my pantry shelf. They aren’t black and white. They are just covered in love. Smooth creamy frosting on a beautiful white cake makes eating them a wonderful experience.

All ABOARD, the conductor tells the passengers waiting to board the train for destinations unknown. She is thinking hard about whether she should go, what she needs to do, what will make her life better… Is this it? Is this her ticket out of here?

When I was young I used to go to church. The pastors always describe this place as Satan’s home, apparently if you committed sins, God would not admit you into Heaven and you would end up here and be tortured for eternity.

elves? I dont even know the meaning of that word. “Delve”. Is it a word? is sounds like fantasy-based or magical. Some word a kid would enjoy listening to and would learn quickly enough to recognize.

One day my father decided to throw away his coin collection. I told him not to because it was very valuable and we could sell it for money.

Barren. arid. unable to have children. dried up land. empty desolate loneliness with nothing in it why is it so scary to salt the earth and not have anything grow for a hundred years? it’s different

Wafers. I think of cookies and biscuits and things to eat. I’m an atheist, so I don’t really think of religion, but I think of those wafers with cream flavored like strawberries. My cousins and I would eat them on car and bus rides.

If only soap could wash away all of the stains…the ones deep inside…the ones you can’t see but you can feel. And when you compare the stains on your clothes to the stains on your heart, suddenly, you realize that maybe the laundry isn’t the most important thing you could be doing today. I’m not against hygiene…I’m just sayin’. Why can’t they make heart soap? I would buy that. Everyone would buy that. Why? Because other people throw dirt on your heart far more often than they throw dirt on your clothes.

fizzy cold intoxicating, get’s me drunk tastes like piss can’t stand the stuff. I don’t know how you can drink it but then I think about it poured int a tall glass and served to me in your smoking room, you wear your coat and we talk about the ways things should be. It’s classic like your smile.

the year was 1349. everyone was dying. humanity was losing against something that was invisible to the eye. everyone except me. i had to witness everything. i tried helping. i did everything i could. to no avail. people were dropping like flies and i remained exactly the same; unchanged. i knew what was coming and that for me, was the curse. my plague. my death.

The flames roared around her. She panicked. Of course she would panic, there was fire surrounding her, enclosing around her. She took as deep a breath as she could without taking in the smoke. She closed her eyes and pushed her energy outwardsoutwardsoutwards. The blast of energy put out the flames. Thank goodness

The lamb looked up at her curiously. The small animal looked so fragile and innocent. After all, it was only a baby. Sheep even as they grew older retained their innocence. She couldn’t look at the lamb. It reminded her too much of what she had lost in order to gain what she had now. The childish innocence of the lamb was just too much for her.

She looked around, startled. What was that noise that she had just heard? She took in a deep breath, steadying her heart rate.
After all, she was walking through a forest in the middle of the night. It was perfect horror movie fodder. She just hoped that she wasn’t going to be killed or something.

She started moving faster as the rustling continued.
Finally. The source of the noise appeared. It was a wolf. And it looked very contented to see her.
