I wondered daily. All the time. So much of my time spent wondering. Daydreaming. Thinking of things not in the here and now and present – past, future, any time but now. Wondering is healthy, generally speaking. It means an open mind is in there, one that wondered.

cheap. am I cheap? I think I’m frugal not cheap. What is cheap as opposed to frugal? Would you shell out money for something no matter the cost if it will bring some happiness to someone’s life? I will. No questions asked. No second thought. But I will be thrifty with me.

tables multiplication tables. my parents made me learn them all from 1 to 9 by the time I was seven years old. I had to memorize them and recite them back to them. Funny this was one of few things they were militant about. It did help. The basic skill that covered me in math.

mangos are a summer fruit. i tease my co-worker about bringing mangos to work and keeping them on his desk, he never seems to get them at the right level of ripeness. when I was young my dad used to ripen mangos by sticking them in the rice sack, amidst the grains. I don’t remember if this worked or just felt nice to the mangos – a rice bath.

outlet malls. I really like outlet malls. Once on a business trip my boss and I split up and he said meet me back here in 40 minutes. I met him there in 65. He saw me coming with 5 bags and said well obviously 40 was not enough time for you. I like Dallas. So many small sizes left over.

sage is what you put into soup and some recipes especially those with chicken or turkey. i am making a chicken soup right now. sage is also what i use to burn and make the room smell nice. i am not sure if it really cleanses the energy but i love how it feels and how it makes me feel when it’s smoking in the marble tray.

cards I played cards in university. Hearts. That was the popular game. We were wild about it. Tournaments and everything. I tried to teach a former friend but she whined and made fun of it. Never played with her again. Though not because of that. I still like that game. We called the queen of spades, “the bitch”.

tangled up together. we are all entangled. everyone I’ve met, everyone I’ve cared about, or don’t care about anymore. Entangled. Indelible mark made. Good thing or bad thing – or just something to deal with.

wool is scratchy and stiff and feels uncomfortable and hot unless you get the really good stuff like merino wool. I bought my mom a long underwear set made of the thinnest merino wool. I wouldn’t answer when she asked how much it cost ($200) because she would faint. I must try get along with her better, I am all she has and me her.
