“Was that Mount Fuji?” I ask, my chopsticks scraping the near empty lunch container.
“No. It should be coming up in a few seconds though.” Mum said, peering out of the large window of the bullet train we are on.
The landscape whizzing by was beautiful, the tree’s turning brilliant shades of red, orange and yellow since fall was progressing. “There it is!” she exclaims, pointing out to a majestic mountain standing far away.
“It’s beautiful.” I say under my breathe.

The metallic taste exploded at the back of his mouth, the quick flashes of light made him even more lightheaded than he already felt. He hit the floor with a thud; the ground beneath him was hard and cold. His eyelids drew close, bone-tired would be an understand — but the moment he does this, an image of a girl conjures inside his mind. Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, full lips and her heart-shaped face. He remembers how they said he let her down. He mouthed her name unconsciously, an apology following. But slowly, both his hands clench into a fist, laying flat on the floor as he steadily raises his weight, succeeding in sitting up on his knees. He wasn’t weak. He wasn’t a pawn anymore. He’ll find her again. He’ll prove them wrong.

His aunt’s place had blue walls that were littered with various family photographs of her children, and occasionally herself and her husband. It was a large house for a small family, but the furnishings were simple. It was everything that his old house was not. He might not have his mom there, or his dad; but his place is here now, with the family that opened their arms and accepted him in their home. And he supposed, this place was his home now too.

It was how they worked. She would push him, but he’d always pull her back. They’ll struggle — hit, bite and bleed. The metallic taste lingering on the other’s mouths, their porcelain skins bruised under eachother’s hands. Consuming. Intoxicating. They knew it wouldn’t end well for either of them, but who else would love a disaster like her, but a mess of a man like him?

She didn’t care much about how people saw her– she didn’t care at all if they talked about her. But this? The way he looked at her hurt. His accusations took a deep blow, and she’s not sure if she’ll ever forget it.

Being polite means your parents up-brought you nice. Not everyone in this world is polite as me. Hahaha! So…

something you get with time and age. As you grow older you learn that things are not as important as relationships
The more you try things the more you learn and you are never too old to learn new things.

She was nice, and kind, and patient, and forgiving. Quite boring, really, but at the time I thought she was absolutely perfect. I probably should have know. After all, nothing’s more boring than perfect.

It was hot.

Incredibly, ridiculously hot and it was a wonder why I was there in the first place. How did I get to such a place? Why was I sent to such a hell?

The incessant amounts of sand. The cactus. The vast land.

… this made no sense.

Oh, right.

Dreams usually make no sense.

Animal Prints. My favorite pattern of all. I like them for bedding, curtains, clothing, etc. Cheetah seems to be the ever popular choice but i prefer giraffe. Something about those neat little box shaped prints amuses me.

I can relate. That’s the deal. Relating with people has become a job over time. I don’t understand their problems, but hey, I can relate. In this day and age, people want someone relatable, someone who understands what you want and need. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, you just have to pretend nowadays.

so there i was, in the room, alone, all but my fears, alone
who was to save me? the dark creeping up on me?
this fear
alone in the dark.
the room of my enemy.
the last error, destined for the end.
that’s me.
living in my fear
like a darkroom.

A coin is something you can pay for things with. In the greek times a god would put a coin over your eyes so you could pay for the god to take you to the afterlife. Coins are pretty and shiny and are usually very useful. People collect coins and people through coins into fountains. I love coins.

I was getting ready to go to bed, when I hear a loud knock on my door, I opened it, but no one was there.
I guess it was my imagination.

“I love you” was the only word I could say to her. As soon as she read it, she pressed disconnect.

I’ve never actually owned or seen a birdhouse in person. I think birdhouses are those type of things that people know exist, and can draw, but don’t actually think about or use in day-to-day life. I wonder what other things we do that with? Are there other things we can all relate to and understand without experiencing? If yes, is that a good thing? If not, well then… birdhouses would be a singularity among objects. Which would make them very special indeed.
