What a coincidence. We brother is deaf. He’s also captain of football baseball and basketball teams and homecoming king. Next year he is going to Harvard university. All of this is good but what I love about my brother the most is that through his hearing loss he has found hope and never ever, no matter what, has he ever doubted himself or his beliefs or where he has come from.

I’m still here. Waiting for that 1 o’clock train and for you to get off it. For you to hold me and your arms and make that promise. I still love you.

From the great hibernation to just a great nap, awakening can be either enjoyable or something to dread.

Compassion is something not to have but to give. To be compassionate is truly wonderful and irreplaceable. It’s something that everybody wants but only the fortunate get.

Convicted. Done. No more second chances. Screwed up for the last time. Finished. Prison for life.

On and on the stacks go. People don’t even see past them. They just look forward and walk, as though they have given up. I can’t see how I can be any different. They have taken us all to places unknown and now we walk. Stacks of people we walk by. When will it ever end? When will the stacks end?

I almost had to pee my pants when the teacher wouldn’t let me go to the bathroom. We were taking a test and she wanted me to get it done before i went to the bathroom. I was so mad because i always cooperate in her class….she couldn’t cut me any slack at all for me to just go? but thankfully i finished soon, before i ALMOST peed my pants.

As I sat, staring silently at the wall, my stomach dropped. Tears flowed down my cheeks, gathering at my neck. My tongue flicked out, gently tasting the salt that coated my face. Yet, when I tried to stop crying, the tears kept flowing and a smile lit up my face when I realized that I finally could feel again.

perfectly she sat, staring blankly up into the night sky, contemplating herself. she was lonely, but that wasn’t unnatural, it was regular anymore. but as the stars twinkled high above her, she didn’t feel so alone. as if each pinprick of light was someone there, telling her they loved her. it was all she needed, all she wanted.

Owl city. I love baby owls, we have them outside my house! it is so great to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and hear them hooting as I pee. How relaxing. My house is very relaxing. thanks to my parents for their years of hard work, without it…no house.

There I was, standing on top of the hill.
Nobody there but myself and nature.
I laid down on the wet grass and just stared up at the blue cloudy sky. I didn’t know what to do next.
Call her.
That’s all I could think about, was calling her.
That’s all I wanted to do.
I got up, picked up my bag, and left.

I have a great love for my keys. I feel that my keys explain me. They are on a sparkling gold key chain with hearts dangling. They remind me of my youth and my freedoms. That is what I love about my keys. Freedom. The power to just go.
