I like mustard. It tasts good on hot dogs. Don’t get it on your shirt though because it won’t come off very easily. I ruin more shirts that way. It really goes good iwth ketchep too! Mustard also goes into potato salad.

The cold frost left a chill upon everything it touched, tainting it with it’s consuming coldness. It was wintertime in the hills and this was the time that this girl wished she were a bear. Wished she could hibernate and simply bypass this cold by drifting into a warm sleep.

Life is miraculous. One day you are one, the next a baby girl is born and life just sparkles! To see life through a child’s eyes is miraculous. It lets us relive the newness again.

I grew up in a small town. The kind that you can never escape, where all your secrets weren’t really secrets. Nobody ever left. But I was one of the few lucky ones who actually got out of there. Away from all the secrets and lies.

dense, as in you a so dense you don’t get what I’m saying. As in, it’s “over your head”, “dense as a door nail”, or dumb as a door nail? Or even the fog is dense? The meaning to words is wide and variable.

i once saw a coward walking amongst a group of taunting toughs. they jostled him and jeered. the coward walked head down until kicked ad spitted upon. he then tuned, lifted his head and stared stony eyed at his tormentors. the toughs grew quite and uncomfortable under the stare, shifting their feet, grumbling. the coward then turned and continued on his way.

I don’t like sports. Soccer make me have asthma attacks. I once hit a home run in softball and felt like the shit because all the girls that were more popular than me finally gave me attention. Watching sports is funny because people yell at the tv. I don’t think they realize that the athletes can’t hear them.

I drain the bathwater when I’m finished taking a bath. Sometimes after I shower there is standing water and it doesn’t drain so well. That irritates me. At least it’s not as bad as that one time that I lived at those apartments years ago. The standing water there lasted forever, weeks! It was fucking cold too. I hated that place.

Thank goodness we are in warm weather and don’t have to bother wearing a scarf. Scarves really do make some outfits look better- add more color and interest. I have many scarves in my possession.

Some people remember the song about the yellow ribbon. It reminds me of the yellow scarf worn many years ago when I was young and just thinking about boys. I would tie it in different ways and wear it just to enjoy the day. It kept my hair in place and made me feel happy.

vows…people vow to do many things. They vow to always love each other. That may not be the case all the time. My vows are now useless as I am divorced. He broke the vows first and I learned that sometimes you have to let go.

crossing my heart as I tell you these words. But I am lying. They are only for your benefit. I say these words because they are what you want to hear. And the thought crosses my mind that it’s not what I want at all.

The weather was incredibly humid. My sweater stuck to my back and stomach since I hadn’t believed this sort of weather possible at this tyime of year. of course, what do I know. I kept walking down the sun drenched street. Even the flowers seemed to wilt beneath the combination of the sun and humidity. Rain lurked on the horizon.

when I was in junior high in Florida, a guy down the street had a convertible It was burgundy colored car with a white top. I want to buy a convertible so I can drive really fast (on an empty road — with the top down and my hair blowing in the wind with the sun beaming down so I can feel free, happy, and something else.
So the kind of convertible I’d like to buy is very costly, so for now I’ll drive my little blue Mazda hatchback that actually gets great gas mileage, and can fit in anyone’s driveway. But a convertibl i

My proudest feelings regard my husband and my children. They are my life. I feel great pride when I think of the priviledges I have living in this great country and the men and women who protect it for me to have those freedoms.
I am Proud!

in split seconds, the whole world was blown into the air, spiraling into a thick, gray haze that spun uncontrollably.
the atmosphere of death and destruction was so great you could feel it around you.
the wind blew dust into futures, and futures to dust.
it was a hurricane.

it wasn’t like i wanted to do this.
it really wasn’t.
it was a dare, they dared me, and in middle school, you can’t refuse a dare. it’ll mean cowardice. you can’t become a coward in middle school.
so they asked me to do it, and so i did. i climbed to the top of the building, and screamed.

Don’t listen to the shouldn’ts. Listen to what your heart tells you to do. Listen to those who love you! Don’t be intimidated by things you don’t think you can do or fear of failure. Listen to the successful, brave, healthy, thin person inside of you. It’s very freeing! I should try it myself.!

a bunch of people thought it would be a good idea to stack themselves on top of each other to see how high they could stack up, but they are all drunkards and they never succeeded…
