minerals

I don’t know hardly anything about this topic but I do know it’s part of science. Minerals can be cool looking but they are small. I really don’t know much.

outlet

The silence is shattered by the sound of broken glass. A girl stands by the window, breathing heavily. Her knuckles are bleeding, and she looks furious. As she strikes the window again, she cries out in agony, but her face relaxes. She knows they’ll never understand. This is how she calms down.

mixer

He was standing over there but all I could do was gawk. I hung by the wall and hoped for my friend Alyssa to be as tired as I was and want to go back to our dorm. He was chatting with I presumed was his girlfriend, afterall guys like that were never single. He was standing over there, and I was across the room. I was a nobody for sure, not someone that usually stood out. He was standing over there, and I could never sum up the courage to go and stand over there with him.

fort

The fort lies in the middle of a vast desert. It is warm not as hot as it seems. He lies on his back in his bed behind me. Ladies wait to be able to touch his soft feet. Untouched, unworked, soft and smooth. But why?

complicated

Things got really complicated after that movie. No one wanted to hang out with her, even her best friend. They were always awkward, but no one ever thought it would last this long. Usually it only lasted a few hours, sometimes days.

Puzzles are usually very complicated. Almost everyone gets frustrated when things get complicated.

starry

I looked out my window, cranning my neck under the screen and out over the window box. Outside, through a little slot amongst the buildings, I saw the sky – vast as it had been on the farm, in maine, when i was a child.

grandfather

I hated my grandfather. I didn’t like old people in general, actually. They smell bad. They make me want to throw up–al those folds of loose skin hanging in slumping layers around their skeleton frames, globs of fat collected in awkward placed around their midsections and arms and legs and ankles. And then there were the di

indecision

I don’t know which way to go. left could mean happiness and freedom, but a high chance of failure. Did i really have the skills for that? Then right would mean no freedom, but a job and money. Which way to turn? Left i decide. No turning back.

stapled

A term probably used to say that you’re stuck in one place. Something may be weighing a person down and therefore they are stapled to their past.

arthritis

Arthritis. Something that conquers even the greatest of beings. It comes at a time to those who have already weakened. And even as a younger being can be developed. Is there a way to stop this disease that stops us from being? Although there is medication, that only lasts for a short period of time. Not long enough to even forget that you aren’t what you once were. This is something that is no good for us, unless it keeps those who are no good from causing more harm. So is arthritis a friend or a foe? Maybe both.

decompose

It is said that when we die, we get buried into the ground, never to be physically seen again. We rot in the ground, but is it really rotting? No. We are adding to what is living, living among the living as the dead.

beer

I love beer. I enjoy drinking it in the company of myself, my best friends, and even strangers. Beer brings people together in ways that other things sometimes cannot. I love the happy go lucky, honest feelings I get when I drink beer. A good IPA never hurt anyone, after all. Unless it gave someone alcohol poisoning I guess, or if they fell down some stairs drunk.

tornado

The tornado swept through the windswept prairie. Speechless the children watched, helpless to stop this raging beast, that would take so many of their loved ones.

She was grieve-stricken, she was pained beyond words. Everything ached. She wrapped her arms around herself and thought “Come back, stay with me. Love me, I am worth it…”

What the heck does overt even mean? It sounds pretty strange indeed. I say it means when there are people standing on something and someone else jumps over them.

amount

the amount of time I have to write this is 60 seconds. sixty seconds is not a lot of time. its as long as a minute. I learned that when I was about four in preschool, because I used to think that minutes were seconds and seconds were minutes and I said “10 minutes isn’t very long!” to my friends because I thought it was seconds.

roof

Ceiling, covers from the rain, dripping. The sound of rain dripping into a metal bucket. The cold feeling of metal against skin.

simple

Simple. Many things are not, but what is? Life surely isn’t. In fact, it is the complete opposite. But there are many little things in life that can make us feel simple. Will anyone ever know the true meaning of simple? Surely Webster isn’t correct- at least not to me. Sometimes a thought can be simple, but when thought about too much can turn complicated, couldn’t it? Simplicity isn’t very simple at all. Quite complicated actually (or at least looking for it & trying to understand what it is, is). If we just accept that not all things are simple then maybe we’ll have and know simplicity more and become its friend. Kind of like Emily Dickinson knew to be Deaths friend. Just be simple at times and there will be greatness, I can assure you that.

higher

its not high, but above it. Its where you want to be. You’re climbing everest, but you want to jump up into the clouds and scrape the moon with your fingernails.
