Their glasses were tinted black. Circular and small, just covering their eyes.
Their hair was poofed up and out.. in every direction. Reminded me of the birds nest in my backyard.
Their clothes.. well let’s just say if you took every colour of the rainbow and made it into different highlighters then let a 5 year old use those highlighters to draw designs all over their clothes and then dunked into a bucket full of sparkles you would have their clothes.
Their shirt sleeves and pants started slimming, but then went off into a flare.. a flare almost as big as their hair.
When I looked at that picture of my parents, I was apalled. Imagine wearing that now?! I’d be the laughing stock of the school. At first when I looked all I did was judge their do and scoff at their clothes.
But the second time I looked, it wasn’t the flare in their pants I saw.. It was the flare in their eyes. Magical. And then all I wanted to do was bring that flare into my school.

It broke off with the force of the wind, swirling through the air and softly landing onto the grass with a gentle thud. Staying stationary for a while, until the wind picked up again and blew it off down the street. As the maple leaf flew through the street, it observed the picturesque setting of the street mesmerizingly. The tall and mighty trees draped over the street, creating a canopy overhead. Their branches outstretched like arms reaching for each other from across the road. And each leaf upon the branch a different shade, creating a montage of colour splattered randomly throughout the sky. As the leaf passed each tree carried by the wind that rustled through the branches, setting free the few lucky leaves to dance happily away. It danced among the rest, riding the breeze with no worries, taking in the serene surroundings as the journey down the street continued.

It tires me to the core.
But I love it, so I keep trying.
Because that’s what I’m supposed to do

She frowned. I laughed.
She ran. I stopped.
She went left. I went right.
She clapped. I yawned.
She talked. I stared.
She reached up. I fell down.
She found nothing wrong. I found everything wrong.
We were polar opposites
Yet still, the perfect combination.

The yelling echoes in your ears
Your face echoes your fears
Chaos at its worst form
It’s like trying to run through a thunderstorm
Wind pushing you to and fro
Lightening striking wherever you want to go
Will you ever escape
Free without a scrape
Or will you be absorbed into the mob
To help increase the everlasting blob
Blob of people going everywhere
Blob of people that don’t care
It’s nothing more
than a riot

Snap. And like that the picture was taken. Her face. Still. Frozen into a smile radiating warmth onto all those around her. His eyes. Still. Frozen into almond shaped oceans full of happiness and love. Their hands. Still. Frozen entwined together, never letting go.

The moment seemed still as you could see the fear splattered across her face mixed with her determination to save him, though knowing she could never make it in time.
The moment seemed still as you could see the panic in the baby’s eyes as he realized he was staring death right in the face.
The moment seemed still as you could see the excitement radiating out of the hungry predator’s grin.
Yet, the stillness didn’t last as the moment vanished and everything seemed to happen simultaneously as nature took its path.
