When I wake up every morning, I prefer a lighter environment.

Yesterday Kathy, the office manager, and I spoke of ordering half-and-half cream for our office. We were both surprised at how quickly our supply ran out considering she had last picked up a box a few days ago. We were speculating on who could have possibly made a run on those creamers.

My arms circled around me as I paddled through the water, depths from the surface. I watched the sponges around me flail with the ocean’s current, and be battered mercilessly by fish and crustaceans of all kinds. They’re alive, I thought. Surely they must feel pain too? The thought was shoved out of my mind as I felt something soft brush against my foot. I paled to white and nearly fainted from the sudden feeling of upcoming and inevitable death…

The fog’s haze abruptly grew stronger as I slowly walked down the frosty avenue. I didn’t want to make my presence known, out of fear for my life, yet the crunchy stones under my heels thought otherwise, and proceeded to mock me and my life as they seemed to rumble the seemingly empty lanes with noise.

The left over salt from the recently passed Winter crackled satisfyingly under the heels of my shoes. My eyes were misty from my recent confrontation with the person I despised, and I mentally flinched, remembering it. I continued to trudge down the cold and frosty late Winter’s avenue, unfallen tears burning in my eyes.

The avenue was sullen and dirty with the remnants of ice salt. The satisfying scrape it made when my shoes collided with the sidewalk was enticing and thought inducing. Almost like a natural soundtrack for my walk around the neighborhood.

Avenues are dark and deathly calm sometimes. Sometimes they might be sweet are subtly nice.

A braid is an interesting thing. All of the strands are twined together in a long rope. In a way, a braid can represent the time everyone spends together – the longer we live, the more our lives twist and curl around eachother. Life together is a braid. Its pretty.

It’s incomplete with out you. But if you’re around, there’s still time for you to jump in. I promise it will happen again. It is happening again.

And she blasted off this plane with nothing but her name
And the hopes she had claimed along the way.
One hopes that she finds herself while she’s out among the stars
and learns to heal her scars
I’ll be dreaming of her from afar
One hopes she finds her place
while she’s drifting out in space.

I wish I could belong to you and only you. I want to find out who you are and hope that maybe one day soon I will meet you. Please find me soon, I want to belong to you!

i was aware i would probably get some shit from her for just turning my ipod on, but i did it anyway. just as expected, she began questioning what i was doing, why i was doing it, and my answers didn’t satisfy her. in fact she got pissed at the way i DID answer her.

cages often represent closure, and a sense of encasement.
animals are kept in cages, could represent solitude.

i was startled by the noise. i grabbed my shoes, and ran outside to see just what the hell happened. the tree across the street had blown over in the wind, blocking the neighbor’s car in her driveway. i would be while before the city came to take care of the tree. good thing she was done running for the day.

she was wearing a crown, and nothing else. the beautiful blonde woman standing at the foot of my bed smiled seductively and cupped her full breasts. she joined me on the bed, running her hand up my leg until it came to rest…

he felt the respose – fight or flight – growing in his mind. there was no way he was going to stand for being treated this way, yet he knew leaving wasnt the answer. he stayed, stood his ground, and calmly said what he needed to to defend himself. it came close a couple times, but he succeeded

it was my hill to die on. i believed so much in my cause that i was never going to back down. there was not one thing that could be done or said to change my mind. that’s how you get when you are passionate about your beliefs, you will defend to the death.

there was absolutely no evidence supporting her search, yet she felt compelled to do so anyway. this situation has become increasingly frustrating. hopefully, she will do what she said she will, and finally come to realize i’m doing what i said i would.

that picture above the mantle. What a lie. A symbol of our status. With our forced smiles and rented clothes. What the fuck is the point of a ‘family portrait’?
» Posted By moon On 08.23.2008 @ 11:48 pm
the mantle had stockings hanging from it, in anticipation of Santa’s visit. the kids had set out a plate of cookies and a cup of hot chocolate to give him a much needed break from his world-wide whirlwind night. they hoped he would enjoy the treats and leave a nice trinket in the stockings for them to play with in the morning.

She was asking if we would study again, there were three finals ahead of me in the next two days, after all. i declined. i was heading into these tests with solid “A’s” in all classes, and knew that studying wasn’t going to change the outcome of the exams. They would be the highest grade possible.

he returned to his ancestral village after 20 long years away, and the things he had hoped to share with the people he grew up with was of no consequence to them whatsoever, for they hadn’t moved forward in time even one iota.

i am proud to be a college student at the advanced age of 42 years old. there is something satisfying about taking control of my life and being active about my path. i have in teh past, but this is different, i have a thirst for knowledge like i never have before, and am always looking for that “one more thing” to learn.
