Tyrant is a rebel. Doesn’t get along with anyone or anything. Causes trouble. Likes to cause confrontation but says nothing.

She used to wish that she could be older. It was what every other child did, after all. There were dreams of what would happen when she finally had the world in the palm of her hand. But now? She missed those younger years, when things were easy. How could she not? After all, life wasn’t so prone to falling apart, back then. Now, on the other hand? She had a failed marriage, a company going down the drain. And all she wanted was for her mother to let her hide under the covers again, while she went and made grilled cheese and tomato soup. Yeah, she missed being younger. When playing in puddles was socially acceptable, and she didn’t have the world resting on her shoulders.

Weaving the threads in and out, calm creation. I plunge the needle through the fabric, down, up, a rhythmic motion. When I am done I weave threads between them. The result: a new tapestry that could not have existed without weaving.

She hates wearing shoes, prefers to feel the earth between her toes, smell the air, and know that she is home. The forest is the one place where she can relax, kneel down and pick up loamy earth in fingers as delicate as twigs. She belongs to the forest, and it is here that the world broaden’s out around here. This is where she needs to be. This is where she can breathe.

Im hungry. I ran 3 miles this morning! I burned like 280 calories! But i ate waffles and bacon after so it was a waste. I should sleep more.

Speak. Don’t hold back. Get it off your chest.
Nothing bad can come of speaking your mind, right?
Just breath.
Hold your breath.
Say what you need to.
It’s out in the open.
Too late to stop yourself.
Cringe like hell when you want to take it all back.
Take back what you said.
Something bad will always come of speaking your mind.

Like Ice it burns not really killing but devouring. It doesn’t ever really sleep it just simmers until its ready to burn again. Like an angry women ready to pounce when her husband walks through the door from work, it waits. It stews. It heats. Until it is fanned by anger. Ice makes it crackle. LIquid makes it die. But then its tempted by fate again and the flames rise like fury. I feel it inside me when he walks by. That fire of hate and love…and desire. I want him. LIke fire wants life.

it’s only a little while
they’re watching themselves in the mirror,
the way their skin tightens over
bones they didn’t know existed;
scars they forgot were there exposed

She ran to the upper deck, afraid she was too late. The crash had shaken the beach house just as she walked in the door. He lay on the floor, and she realized her worst fears had come to life–he was a wereturkey.

A statement can be many things, people can be offended by it or they can completely agree with it. When i think of the word statement i think of suits and briefcases…not sure why i just always have…But i think i need to realize that even the person that no body thinks about and every body ignores can have a statement in a conversation that makes people think. THey can also change the conversation but it never hurts to try.

The dunce cap sat in the shadowed corner of the room with barely a layer of dust on it. It wasn’t used all that often, but just enough that the next one to pick it up would have their fingers dirtied by that thin film of grime. To have the dunce cap bestowed on you, however, was a fate worse than death in that third grade class and, as such, just about every youngster actively worked against having it placed on their crown.

She had a tendency for melodramatics, to make something as insignificant as a lazy stroll a quest for redemption, or a sort of heroic epiphany. With each beat of music pounding in her ears she’d lightly step, turn her head just so and relish the sensation of her hair caught up in the wind and her eyes watering in the glare of the sun. In those moments, she felt beautiful. It was when the volume of the music had her ears throbbing with pain, when the wind swept her up like a paper bag, when her imagination could flow open like a winding roll of paper that she could feel like some sort of heroine. She would ride the high, coasting steadily upward with each step–more of a dance than a walk–dragging, lifting, scuffing her heels to upset the pebbles and bits of glass littered in the streets. She would walk and everyone would want her, walk and be the herself that wasn’t quite herself at all, walk and be beautiful, until a car–silver, innocent, unassuming–would coast slowly by and she would meet her rippled reflection in the glass. She remembers herself–the fresh red acne across her forehead, the dull complexion of her eyes, the lopsided lilt in her smile–and the gentle rumble of the car as it passes pulls her down from the high with a sigh that clenches her throat like a sob.

a trunk is what an elephant has. you also get a car trunk, and often luggage is referred to as a trunk. and then there’s tree trunks. basically, there’s a lot trunks. I think it’s a silly word.

Dismissed. The best word of the day as far as I’m concerned. Class is out, time to go have fun and not think about the tests, exams and everything else for the rest of the day. Let the bell ring, I’m ready to play.

Swinging. Childhood, playgrounds, pushing my son when he was young. I love to swing and feel the wind in my hair. The point when you hit the highest point and begin to come back down, you are weightless. It gives me a little skip in my tummy.

it didn’t tell me much but
it did give me a chance to look
just a bit deeper
at what i thought i already knew
opening the defined world a tiny bit
and letting possibility shine through

Reminds me of cold winter nights cuddled up beside of my husband while sipping red wine and enjoying a cozy peaceful night.

I gave it to you on top of that freeway wall, where our words intertwined gracefully as two souls bathed in the beginning knowledge of one another.

I’ve always wanted to invent something really cool and get a patent for it. I also tried to develop my own business when I was just out of college… just never could come up with the right idea… got bored with it… hmmm… patent… patent leather… I had some really cool patent leather boots when I was 5 years old. They were red with laces up the front. Granny boots, everyone called them… badass!

Run. You’ve been warned. It’s over you have to leave this place right now. The time is up. It’s time to go. Run. You’ve been warned. I wanted you to be able to stay, but now, you just can’t. Run. You’ve been warned.

I was convinced that she was out of her mind. I mean, who does something like that? I guess I’ve always admired her spontaneity and spunk, but it seemed like she was going a little far this time.

A shootout. I’m not really sure what that is, but when I hear the word I instantly think of cowboys and the wild west. Maybe that’s because I’m from Texas. I’ve never shot a shotgun before, nor have I ever gone hunting. A good friend of mine goes hunting often, and she has a ranch down south.

i need to repeat things before someone understands what i mean
i repeat the same information to remember
i repeat the same things in my life everyday
i repeat the words i am saying right now
my life is in repeat
i don’t like repeat.

responses. just simply responses. truthful responses. if they are untruthful then they are lies, but it is a type of answer. it’s sad that some people can’t even tell the truth because they really seem afraid. that’s just my opinion. i wish it would change though. i’m so tired of lies.

some people are mean. Very mean. Some people are so mean that I want to punch them in their face. Not because I am mean, but because they deserve it.

» Posted By Leigh On 07.11.2011 @ 5:37 am

Well, that’s not very nice. Nice people are not mean. Do you mean what you say? I mean it when I say that I love and care about you. Those words have meaning in my lift. The mean of the numbers 5, 7, and 9 is 7. What do you mean when you say that the mean of the numbers 5, 7, and 9 s 7? What is the meaning of life? Say what you mean, and mean what you say.

Rightfully so, I looked into your eyes when you told me she had died. The level of emotion there overtook my entire existence for a moment there I spun, dizzy, weightless, circling around this moment in time where we stood, lives changed, forever. What will we do without her? You ask me. I reply from within a vacant stare.
