classical

I am a fan of classical music. Not sure why it is called classical – maybe because it has a classic “old” feel to it and the classy people listened to it?

Is opera classed as classical? Maybe I don’t know about it all to be honest. I don’t know what else to say!

parking

parking reminds me of when we were younger and we would go parking.. meaning to make out. usually in a car. I never did this.. also my first thought is the hollywood sign for some reason or some other place where there is a view and you are near a cliff of some sort. also i hate parking in boston.

bullets

so this is such an ugly word. I cringe when I read and feel it lolling around in my mouth. Who invented bullets? Was it originally intended for a ‘better’ purpose; something more productive than what we know today about bullets?

tutoring

He taught me about a new kind of love. His tutoring was odd, but gave me lessons in how to love without asking anything in return. I’m not sure I would pay for that type of learning now, but at the time, it seemed like the perfect lesson.

coil

She recoiled as he slid his hand across her shoulder, his touch was like a hot poker burning deeply into her skin; every time he was near her it gave her the willies; yet now, on this day at the cemetery to feel his hand on her was more then she could bear; just the mere thought that he lived while her beloved husband Tom died, made her breakdown, in her head she screamed why couldn’t it be you. It should have been you; you deserve to die for all your sins, the passion which was once between these two as teens was now nothing but a burning hatred in their hearts. As she watched them lower her sweet Tom down into his grave she wished she could push him in as well.

historic

This year’s weather has truly been historic, with extreme storms, wild temperature swings and unseasonable activity taking place in all area of the country. Never before have we known so little about what weather conditions are in store in the coming season. The result is a lot of uncertainty and even stress.

cone

I think of the cones on trees, like conifer (is that the word) of trees. I believe the cone is the “seed” of the tree. They fall and when they bury, they become another tree somehow. I remember this because it reminds me of my paper on Swimmer in the Secret Sea where I talked about the cones falling off the the trees and hitting the casket of the couple’s young child as the father pushed it down the hill. is the minute up?

plaster

This used to be used to make casts that would heal broken arms but now the casts are made from new fangled synthetic stuff. It is harder to sign the new casts and harder to heal.

eternal

Eternal life is something that I have always believed in. Lately I have been questioning too much. I don’t like questioning. I wish that I could be 100% sure of life after death like I used to be. I question the existence of God and I hate that.

sure

I am almost sure that Brett is a good guy. Certain things worry me about him such as his beliefs and his honesty. Mom thinks he’s not for me. I really like him, but im not sure. I wish i could just know. I wish i knew the future. I wish I was sure.

Sure I would like to. Sure? what is it with this word? it almost seems useless. how can anyone be sure of anything when times and surroundings are constatntly changing. The things that you were sure about 4 years ago I am certain are much different now. It is the constants the things that plague your mind day in and day out that you can be sure of.

i am sure that i love him. Convinced. from the first moment that i saw him. Some would call it crazy because there is so much uncertainty that comes with these situations but i know it. I am sure. I’ve never been this sure in my life. Or have I? Things are different now, this is real.

Dirt upon the earth. Good for growing plants. Also, something one does to one’s underwear when in an accident: “First you say it, then you do it”– Bill Cosby.

dehydrated

the sun beat down on my burning back. I felt weak, dehydrated. How did it come to this? I swore I would never get involved in this again. Now here I am alone, in the desert, without food, water or actually any idea where I was.

pour

Rain washing over us, rich and poor, fast and slow. Takes away the dreams of summer June gloom. A river coming down. But afterwards there will be green grass and wildflowers if we can just get through. Hold on…a little while longer.

switching

Switching bodies, switching places. A switch for a train that can mean life or death. The light switch which can illuminate all or put all into chaos. Switch hitting, I am verasitle, capable of more than you see. Change of pace, switch things up, try something new.

reporter

I wish I was a reporter. Actually, I wish I wanted to be a reporter. They seem to have the coolest jobs, reporting breaking news to the public, being the face of a story. But I’m far too scared to ever try and be a journalist. Because there’s so much pressure to be great at what you do.

To separate is to take apart or make it so something can’t stay together anymore. We had to separate the logs to make fire wood.
