He would never suspect it. The twist that lied ahead. The path that would change his world forever. Not just his but everyone around him, and it all lied within a package laying on his front porch.

Cities all around.
Cities in the sky.
City in your mind,
ruling over the kingdom in your body.
The ruler of the city it only one,
that voice in your head
who cannot be argued against.
A tyrant, a dictator,
Your Majesty.
Is it God ruling the city?
Or simply human vice and folly?
The cities are plagued.
One shining hope remains,
untouched, pure.

There once was a cook. He loved making food more than anything. He loved carbs, and pasta, and broccoli, and love. And he just wanted to make the world a better place with food. And oregano. But he loved the world and wanted to show it

Today’s affairs are misconstrued and often blown up to something bigger than they are.

The simple task of choosing an evening gown for a party is not only a fashion statement, but a political one as well.

The food you eat determines your morals.

Towers in the parking lot. Towers in boats.

Towers are taking over.

Towering over me now, drenched in your shadow.

You are taking over me.

Four sides. One circle. Enemies. Friends.
On the right, back to the world, slightly uncomfortable, but ultimately oblivious to the ministrations of everything else.

I’m stuck in a corner. i’m surrounded. there’s no way out, i’m cornered. i can’t see any escape; I’m closed in, like i’m stuck in a box. people are all around and there’s nothing i can do. I’m cornered.

i think i have a temper. i pretend like i don’t, i act like i don’t care, but really everything is just building inside of me, stacking like a tower mushing into the sides of my brain until i explode on someone who doesn’t deserve it.

In the junkyard, there is an archive of past happiness, joy and ancient toys of the mind and heart to surround your senses with the testimony to the past. I love to peruse old junkyards and touch the items that might have been in the hands of an ancestor. Junkyard’s lament .. oh what a concept!

the lines were blurred on the page. her tears were adding freckles between the gray blotches of lines, but she didn’t give a damn. sometimes people just have to cry. it’s a part of life.

I was blown away by your kiss. You were my best friend, I was dating your best friend, and I just kissed you to stop from spewing pessimistic crap, and it turns out that we’re dating and in love now, and your best friend hates me. I love you.

My father’s outlook is bleak. His alcoholism has defeated him ot the point that he is no longer the man that I thought he was. I miss him very much, but I still refuse to talk to him.

everyone is locked into something these days. whether it’s a contract at work, or a rotten relationship, or a gym membership you never use, we are all locked into something we hate. i think we should find ways to get out of these situations. it’s not fair and we shouldn’t have to deal with it.

who needs wealth? who wants it? truth is, we all do. every single person in the world, at some point in his or her life, wants wealth. but…it means different things to different people. to some, it is all about money. to others, it has to do with family, friends, job, or other things. some of the wealthiest people i know have no money at all.

Long and red,the scarf fit his neck perfectly so I grabbed an end and choked him until he turned blue and handed over the remote to the tv. He never wore the scarf again and I never lost control of the remote again.

i love the shade. during the summer months, there is nothing i love more than to sit underneath a shade tree with a glass of ice water and a good book. of course, there are times when i want to be in the sun–gotta have a tan!–but overall, sitting in the shade during the summer is the best thing ever.

It was a masterpiece, the painting on the wall. I admired it upon entering the lavish hallway, wondering what else his luxurious home had in store. The night proved long, and I’d had far too much Crown Royal.

why is it you can give someone so much and them turn around and completely give up. He never cared. I can’t believe he did. He didn’t. I can’t even look at him anymore. It’s terrible.

I hate being in the spotlight. It is something I try to avoid at all costs. For example, I directed the play at our church. What did I do when they wanted me to take a bow? I hid in the back of the audience where no one could see me. And that was a good play too. Something to be proud of. But that’s just me. Some people want all the glory, while others just want to do what they do.
