swerve

Moving left to right, that’s what swerving is. It’s interesting because life should be like that. What’s better is when you get to live and tell the story. It’s fun being able to tell everyone about the whole spectrum of something. That’s what a swerve can do.

nourish

nourish the kid, play with him, feed him tiny hot dogs and little party hats so he doesn’t go away, so he keeps coming back. Give the kid a bounce castle and maybe a doctors outfit, so he can dream. Make the kid keep coming back to give your days a meaning, ask her for forgiveness. Talk to her again.

I’d like to be a master in History. So, this way I could get more jobs. See, I study history. Anyway, I’m getting distressed by that countdown. That’s all I can think about.

square

Every table at the pizza joint was square except for mine which was a circle. I turned to a few friends of mine and said, “You guys are all squares, but I’m well-rounded”. One of my best bad jokes if I do say so myself. Haha

Forward men! We are taking this fortress! Galahad pressed on with a frightened adrenaline. He climbed up the siege tower. Well, it’s live or die now.

instructions

I remember back in 3rd grade our teacher had us all write down directions to make PB&J for a homework assignment. Funny thing was, she followed WHATEVER directions were on our paper to the T. For example, if it said “Spread the peanut butter onto the bread”, she would say aloud, “Well it didn’t say I needed to use the knife, so I guess I’ll just use my hand”. One other incident happened after she had put the PB on one piece and the jelly on the other piece she explained, “Well the directions say ‘now put the two pieces together’, so I guess I’ll just have the jelly and peanut butter on the outside of my sandwich”.

…But alas, she proved a much too stern teacher.

suspects

She suspects fowl play. I suspect her suspicion is more true than I’d like to believe. So a choice bubbles up from the pot: Do I investigate the truth and risk life, limb and happiness? Or do I shy away from trouble, live ignorant but live happily?

decorations

Decoration is a loaded word. Many folks thinks of expensive glassware, or a china cabinet. Decorations are meant to be YOU. A thing that you like because in some way it reflects who you are or your style. For instance, I keep a solved rubiks cube on my office desk (I can actually solve it), not because I’m trying to solve it faster or show off to anyone who may be in the room but because it’s a decoration that reminds me of me and what I like. Not to mention, that I love colour.

bandages

Bandages heal wounds. Wounds can still leave scars though. The pain may recede, but you’ll never forget how it hurt.

adviser

College advisers. Most of them really aren’t there to help you unfortunately. They just want to get you in and out of their office as quickly as they can and if you happen to snag some classes in the process, so be it. I wish they were more personable.

detention

I only had detention once, and it was for a silly reason I think. I had worn my brown beanie to school for a day and the principal snatched it off my head, none of my teachers cared. The entire reason they have that rule is to not support gang activity, i.e. red hats, blue hats. You tell me how a brown beanie supports violence.

Addresses our most prominent questions with rationality and seeks truth. It is a good thing, but it is not everything. Rationality is wonderful, but we can’t forget that not everything in this world can be made sense of rationally. One example: Us

I am reminded of an old friend of mine when we were 13. At that age I was quite competetive and although we were best friends, we had a strong rivalry with on another. While we were eating lunch, I claimed, “My straw is better than your straw” He replied, “Ok”. Nothing could have made me more content

microwave

A microwave pizza is one of the most depressing things in the world. You’re making a statement with what you eat, and this statement is “Hello world, I care nothing about what I put in my body, I have no motivation to take any thought about what I eat, it just doesn’t matter.”
