mustard

I sat at the most boring lookimg restraunt ever. like seriously. the most exciting thing here was the mustard coloured… everything. everything was just mustard. the chairs, tables, and curtains. even the ceiling. it was ironic because they were currently out of stock of mustard (i asked)

derived

Where did the word derived derive from. Where did the word word derive from. Where did the human language derive from. Where did we derive from. What is it to derive? Is it growing up? Is it finally figuring out who you are by taking elements of what you like and shoving them all together?

stolen

That’s exactly what he did. He stole it. He stole my heart and went running. He ran as far as he could and he didn’t bother looking back or asking if I needed to leave a note for anybody behind. He jumped off waterfalls and climbed up mountains, pulling at my heart strings as if he were fine tuning a new acoustic guitar. He stole my heart before I had time to realise I hadn’t locked it away. I hadn’t protected it at all. I mean, it’s not like my heart hadn’t been stolen in the past. This time, though, this time was different. It’s as if I wanted my heart to be stolen all along. Or, at least, it’s as if I wanted my heart to be stolen by him specifically all along.

delirious

She laughed madly, tripping and stumbling over the roots at our feet. Pomegranate juice spilled down her cheeks, staining her white blouse with the vivid color. I was equal parts horrified and in awe of the beauty of it all. She amazed me, all wicked and glorious. It was hard to think of her as the same girl who quietly sat at the back of the classroom, doodling on the cheap wooden desk lid and flicking her dark hair back whenever the teacher called her name. Well, maybe it shouldn’t have been.

lemon

Lemons are terrible.

They’re too sour for the soul.

And they hurt your eyes when you squeeze it in your eyes.

stealth

Vibrantly viciously quite and quiet
smooth glide salaciously gallantly silent
sudden red smattering
spattering wall
what was once unsmattered is slumped in a ball
white follows crimson
lick the wall, lap the ‘crete
rough tongue up it hard
ziptuckwipeswish: “so discreet”

a wash starts to pour on the domes of one live and one bled
down the slabs and the bile and on passersby heads

knowbody nos passing slick brick after brick
nosebody knows it’s not a real trick

daddy is dead
in a bag for a bed
and the trickly
is trickily sticky real red.

creative

vomitsplatter
all alleys turn to piss at twilight
fallen tree trunks of men
on soggy cardboard
a hiss, a far off roar
the bangs. a clatterlaugh.
the brick hugs in with tight toothless breath
nothing more
these constant swimming nights
another orbiting putrid lullaby

willful

mellifluous cherry trees
windmills and floating voices
smells flap bitterly by in the rushing air
wet petals stick to a lone cheek
nose tip so cold
fingertips rough the bark
moss and mud muster up to raise my boots
while so much breeze wants me down
I want to lay me down, too
in the cold moist silt and sod
shiver a humming hungry goodbye

steady

his hands were steady
but rhythms pulsed
in the veins of his forehead
in his kneecaps
in the joints of tomorrow
him breath was unborn music
still and patient in the forward air

higher

Higher. How does one get higher? Do they walk? Do they smoke ? Do they climb a latter? People go to higher ground to get away from flooding… molases… things like that… It’s been a while since i was in a higher chair… those were fun.

soon

Soon is to far to be near. Soon is to near to be far. Belittle who you will and what you want… But sooner than later or later than sooner I will hopefully be yours.

I hope with every fiber of my being that thid words are true. That salvation will come. Soon. But what does soon mean? I think it’s just a polite way of saying “I don’t know when so let’s hope it will not be long”. Soon could mean tomorrow. But it could also mean endless years. Don’t tell me that what I am waiting for will come soon. It’s a tease. Rather tell me the truth. No body knows. All we can do is hope and pray.

library

It was a day of unforgettable knowledge a day that everyone could learn and have all the same information at there finger tips. There was no false information… Only white lies until the library burnt down and technology put out the fire.

late

I could do without it, without it all. I can’t handle school anymore. The hallway, the bell, the isolated colorless classrooms, the dull teachers. So I sleep in. Or I ditch class. I go on a lengthy walk well into the next period. Entering the classroom draws full attention on me for about half a second but depending on the teacher, my move could be fatal. I am late.

thought

She thought she knew the world. But her thought was all she had. Little did she know there were other people with other thoughts who understood things different than her. She thought her thought was the only thought that could be thought. When she grew up she realized there were other people with other thoughts. What a new thought this was. That its possible that she didn’t have every thought that there is. She began to explore thought. Other thoughts. She learned a lot. Her opinions changed. She knew things she didn’t know could exist. She loved people. She loved to explore. She loved to learn.

blindness

We can’t have everything. We can’t even have most things. We go through life so afraid that we can’t see the point of anything, but what does it matter? Grab at things, seize them, devour them. It’s hard to understand why we have all these senses but we trust in our sights too much. We don’t have to make sense of it, we have to just do it.

towers

twin towers fell today 11 years ago. so so so sad.
thinking about all the families and all the people in the world who’ve been impacted by them falling.
today is a day for reflection about how we are all connected.
no matter how far apart we are.
we are all one.
we are all love.

carbon

Carbon is a gas I think. Or maybe it’s a metal. It makes me think of the song carbon copy. But I have no clue or idea what carbon is. I know what carbonated drinks are. They are sodas. They are pretty good.

Assaults are mean and shouldn’t happen because they make people cry
Verbally assulting her, his dark words rained down on her staining her soul blacker then the blackest black, to match his heart.

seeds

Seeds; I think of people who are born and who grow. We as children are seeds who grow to be sunflowers and roses and lilacs, we grow to be many different types of ‘flowers’ or even completely different type of plants.

warned

I told him not to come in. I warned him that nothing good would happen if he took one, single step inside that house. Did he listen to me? Of course not. This was David. He always did exactly what he wanted to do. So, he marched up the front steps, through back the screen door and banged against the doorframe.

maroon

I was marooned on a deserted island with a really hot guy. The problem with this logistically was the lack of toothpaste on the island. Luckily, I found a way to make a paste with salt water, sand and tree bark. This way we didn’t gross each other out with our nasty morning breath.
