I never really liked beer until this year, actually. When I moved to Champaign I discovered there was this really popular brewery downtown — right down the street from me! On Tuesdays and Wednesdays they have something called “Mug Club.” If you buy a mug for $5, you can go back on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and get $3 draft beer. It’s actually a pretty sweet deal. They also have happy hour every single day from 4-6 — so you get half priced beer then as well. My favorite beer from there is called the U of IPA. Clever, right? Ha ha ha… but like I said, it’s weird, because I used to only drink wine, but now I will also drink beer. Every Wednesday my girlfriends and I always go to Mug Club. It’s like a “you’ve made it halfway through the week!” kindof thing. My mug has pink on it. It’s adorable. On another note, this past weekend my friends and I uber’ed to campus. We went to a “famous” bar called Kams. It was disgusting and smelt like puke.

This reminds me of a printer or ink cartridge. I hate replacing those. First, it costs way too much. Like, $75 for just black ink! Insane. I don’t like having to pay that much for ink for my printer. Also, my printer runs out of ink way too fast. It becomes a pain. I am not a fan of printer ink cartridges.

What is real?
What we see?
What we feel?
What we think?
What does “real” even mean?
What’s present?
What’s past?
What about the future?
Will it last?
Will “real” prevail?

I couldn’t believe it was real. I had dreamed of this day my whole life. Seeing the beautiful buildings, the shining city. It was all real. The place of my dreams was here. Paris.

She went to visit him. She hadn’t for a while, not since the accident, but she figured it’d be good for her if she did. Might help her sleep at night. As she walked in the hospital room, she saw his body, the only thing keeping him alive being the tube down his throat, and, in the quietest voice she had ever used, whispered, “I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry.”

I love to visit. It’s nice, because there’s no commitment in the word “visit”. When you’re visiting your family, that doesn’t ever suggest that you’re very close. Same with “to pay someone a visit.” It sounds like you’re just popping in for a nice chat and maybe some tea, but nothing more.

Missed. Past tense, but still true. I miss you.

People who usually have an ego are covering up insecurities. The people who strut around, heads held high, confident as shit–they’re screaming for help. NOTICE ME! ASK ME WHY I’M THE BEST. Those are the shouts of longing. Of lusting for hope, or help, or connection. Ego is, at best, a lonely person’s only refuge.

people get so cranky over nothing and when they do they take it out on every other person and then the next day there feel all sorry

I rode the ship down to the harbor where a boy was waiting for me. He was to be my husband though I had never met him. My parents said that his family was of a good name but I still had my qualms about the arrangement. I hoped I would be happy.
