involved

I get involved with Netflix serial shows. I watch them and get hooked if they are engrossing and interesting.

priorities

My priorities vary each day. Mostly I need to get a better job and save money. I need to pay off all my debts (I’m 19 and I owe everyone money already.) I already did this word so I have nothing to write.

fishing

I know that it’s late in year, but let’s go fishing. The air is crisp but the sky is purple and it smells like chives on the lake. I have a wooden boat, you know. And I’ll bring life vests so you won’t drown if you fall into the water. I will bring a warm jacket because I know how you get cold. There’s a small bottle of champagne tucked under the wooden seat in my boat and we can drink it all night while we laugh at each other. Please come fishing with me.

instructor

The instructor stood at the head of the room, he was teaching drivers education and I was taking it for the second time at the age of 26. I ran into a small church at night, and now there’s fines and lawsuits and shit. But by far the worse part is that I have to retake driver’s education.

Everyone will always ask you, will you or won’t you. They ask me everyday because they need to know and they need to hear. Will i or wont i? I don’t know, I am screaming because I am stuck people say you can get out but they are wrong because it is absolutely possible to get stuck, because i don’t know the answer to their question. will i? or won’t i?

towering

This is what I am to nearly everyone in the world. It’s amazing to realize that not everyone sees the world from the height in which I do. Sometimes I pretend to be short (bend down or go on my knees for a bit) and I’m struck by how idfferent the world looks. How everything is the perfect level. I tell people to stand on the toilet to get a better perspective of their own lives.

ferry

The ferry boat takes me cross the bay. Others get seasick, I get comfort. The ferry is red and yellow and white. “Cove your ears for two short blasts”

knee

My friends are the bee’s knee’s. I am so grateful for them. I hope they feel the same way about me.

flea

Why was the first instinct to always flea? No one could catch wind, as air just falls through your finger tips and continues on unaffected. It cools but does not stay, a temporary relief that would eventually chill if it lingered. I guess I didn’t want anyone to grasp at me, I’d rather swirl through life lightly, unable to break my surroundings.

rewrite

Rewrite. Rewrite. Rewrite. Nothing is ever final. Everything is just another draft.. a better draft.. a draft that could be better. Not even this is final. I may look back at this and think.. hey.. I should rewrite. Rewrite. Rewrite. Rewrite. Nothing is ever final.

complexity

Ah, so many things in life are complex. Puzzles are complex, but also simple. You know the number of pieces, but it can take so long to construct. I just remembered my book of sudoku puzzles downstairs. I’ll fetch it later. I’m tired.

raven

If a raven was a sign, this day it was a good one. The sun was calm and the air was breezy, and the pup at the end of my leash was not cowering but was instead aiming curiously for the birds that had settled happily around a carcass on the grass.

Wrapped up in emotion, bound by a mixture of thoughts and words. Unable to be free, yet protected. Shielded.

arthritis

Everything was sore, her hands moved at half their usual pace. It felt like her bones were screaming as her fingers jumped across the ivory. She always played through the pain.

Our shells were scattered on the floor, our past insecurities left to wither into nothingness that would soon be swept away.

pairs

Pairs of gloves covered the floor, all used to hide a trace. To erase the past with a cut of fabric over regretful fingertips. The evidence lost forever, the gloves kept the mystery alive.

catapult

Catapult me out of your bed and onto the street, where I begin to walk home, my boxers in my bag and a donut in my hand, a song on my lips, a heavy feeling in my heart. I know you’ll never love me.

loom

the smoke loomed above her head, intoxicating the only clean breathe of life she had left. she choked upon the idea, not the smoke, that all of this was coming to an end. Tears formed from the stinging substance accumulating in her eyes, she was forced to inhale this demise.

A very difficult thing. My sister’s best quality but she has no tact. Once caught in a lie, never again trusted. Very hard to achieve.

signals

There is a time in life when you wish you always had the courage to go forward. If the signal was always green, and you never had to worry about the consequences, things would go so much faster. But sometimes you need to slow down or stop complete, so that you don’t get hurt. But really, I’m young–let’s just stick with the green. AND GO ON

knock

There was a loud knock at the door. Louise picked up her cane and slowly hobbled to the door, favoring her bad hip. It was the paper boy, collecting just the way he did every second Thursday. “Hello ma’am”. Louise nodded hello, handing the boy the money. He was really the only company she ever had, yet she never made much conversation. She and mittens had much better things to do than converse with school children. She would much rather get back to her needlepoint.

Go forth and be productive. Love life, move forward. Keep trying to make yourself better, always improve. Love the world and all it’s beauty. Try to help everyone, never let yourself down. Keep moving along, even when you feel like you can’t. Just keep going. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

upper

He had the upper hand, he always did. His ability to pull his words from the air and violently throw them at her with skill and precision left her confused and breathless. Unable to respond or recuperate no matter how much she wanted to.
