swatches

Dim dull doom, the eerie cry of the hyenas giggle, the howl of the wolf. The scratching of bears; was there not one side where predator not lay, with all desperation up we look – through the hollowed out roof – the stars shine with swatches of hope. The lion roars, the eagle soars, all hope restored.

sly

On dangerous night of fox’s flight, hounds boomed for hunter’s light.
Sly was the fox, weaving and leaping, leaving trails of deceit.
“Hounds gone mad!” Bellowed the Irish lad, as he chased the culprit of the seven dead hens.
Around circles and circles the hounds had led, the poor Irish lad, almost losing his head.
Victorious; the sly fox pranced in pride, his den he had found: now to abide, safety found once again under the treacherous sky.

desolation

To not leave, in our wakes.
Destruction and smoke.
Desolation a smothering choke.
To open our heart; feeling the shakes
Of scales that harden;
Feelings that burden.
Be soft and reach out.
It’s time: that a loving generation.
Awoke.

educated

Broken and shattered, on the corner of nowhere, stands the educated man. What had happened to his heart; why had it become so splintered. No amount of intelligence or well earnt gold, could bring him a warmth that he knew was true – only by the ever present lack. Harder then entering through the eye of a needle seemed his chance of ever knowing life abundant. So he turned, signing a check of all his wealth, he gave it away.
On that day a warmth spread in his heart that eclipsed even the brightest if sunrises. Only the beginning it was, life had much more for this man to give. This educated man, now had so much more to learn.

framework

Rotten: the smell of swamp and that old lady that lived down Baskerville lane. Worm eaten and full of termites. What the old crooked artist, who lost his eye in the battle with the wicked wolf ( the traitor had been so still as if begging to be sketched), did with the framework was nothing short of a masterpiece. The contrast was so wonderful it had caused many to weep and many others to vow silence for years.

So take hope: for as ugly the framework you may be, there’s an artist who can make you beautiful.

wilderness

The ravens, they follow. My every step, diving at my shadow. Forty days tell the stories, of my king that took on death, trudging through these sands that sting and seem to rob man his very breath. Stone to food he did not turn, nor take the kingship of many lands. To plunge into death he even denied. Not yet the king had said, not for his own sake. But for us, for us plunge he did – with the keys of life and death and my salvation in his blood on his return.

desperation

Hands, nailed, to a tree. Sweating blood, it’s the future he can see.
He wants to pass the cup, so very ready to give up. His broken heart palpitates so painfully in his chest – father – he cries out. His desperation no one could ever best. He takes the cup. It is finished, he kisses you and embraces me.

departure

Oh, it’s time to leave.
Farewell sunshine. Farewell lovers.
sigh does my soul.
Please oh please don’t leave a hole:
In my heart, in my smile, dug out by a mole.
I’ll hold on, I won’t let go.
the song that was sung is what makes me flow.
Perhaps, perhaps, the dance will go on.
Regardless of hope, this departure – is frowned upon.

airport

Away fly the daring, Away fly the brave,
A moment blaring, A picture for a soul to save.
Away flies the father, Away flies the lover
A kiss for all pieces to scatter –
to return?
and again feel the heart flutter?
At the airport
Don’t let your hope — shatter.

miraculous

Once upon no time there wasn’t a time where time wasn’t. In this time that wasn’t air was not of existence, gravity held none or perhaps every; resistance. Into this nothing a light shone. It took but one whisper: and light shone, from light years or perhaps centimetres away (it was nothing to begin with so where it was we never shall know) against every or no obstacle this light was triumphant.

Miraculous is that this luminous, found it’s way into a place that makes me quite delirious.
A place full of fungus and darkness – no pit more odorous. This light shone in my heart and all darkness ran away. Or perhaps – just shrunk into nothing.

dating

They did know, they had touched souls and had smiled in that moment. Though, a trial was to be faced – they had to step through the enchanted forest called “date”. They had to weave through lies and falsities, to be patient below and above the mist that blurred the truth. They couldn’t see their souls through this most and so all truth of their love was obscured. Could they still make it through this treachery?

desolate

To say my heart is desolate – would be a lie. Desolate hints at destruction, it hints at life once existing. My heart is broken now; and has been since before the delicate valves ever once pulsated. The blood that runs through it is dry – lifeless – dead. Perhaps there is hope. Perhaps this desolation could find recuperation. Could life come?

loneliness

We know someone is there, and hence loneliness eats us up. Because the Ghost that walks with us is invisible, so our eyes search for a companion. This breath that gives us life is not solid and so we reach out to touch. A walk in loneliness is a walk with the greatest of company.

smiled

He smiled simply. The sun touched his hair and warmed his heart. No pain could hold it back, with torn skin and battered lips; with holes where teeth once stood and blood spluttering, he smiled simply. For his heart was warmed, by the slight touch of the songs sung by the closest of friends.
He smiled simply.

derived

The core, can it be found? Do we know where it began. Where is it, that these streams of agony and pride, of hate and lust derived. Where is that this toxin is birthed from. Only he who drinks it and takes it on fully could ever cure it. Oh wont you please.

heartfelt

Breathing with the speed of rapids,
at the sound of a voice that echoed the sounds,
a mumbling, tumbling, bumbling.

“Do not be afraid, for I am with you”.
Words with more weight you will never hear.
Heartfelt by the one who holds the keys to life and hades.

stillness

It’s not in the rush. You won’t find it there,
nor in rumbling thunder of parties roaring yonder.
In stillness you will find it, that laughter that is home.
That smile that warms your heart and whispers it to life.

leverage

The door was shut, no key hole, no handle
Applied with the correct weight, open it may
What weight, what weight shall lift the lock
Bear away every restrain,
Finally giving us freedom.

dusk

Farewell dusk, sadness and sorrow
The dawn is ahead, gladness and jump!
A spring in the step of the foot that dragged
Through hardness and break
No harder trial faced.
Good-bye dusk, hurt strengthens us.

withhold

Do not withhold. Do not, do not withhold.
This love inside, in which all hope shall abide.
Do not do not withhold.
Be brave, let it shine, like the ancient kings of old.
Do not, do not withhold
This smile, this light; that could rid the world of mould
Do not, not withhold
This embrace that would never – ever loosen its hold.

collapse

Everything is going to break, collapse into shattered pieces of a broken whole. What was once always toxic and rotten, will finally break into the nothingness it always was. To what will you hold?

wondering

In the midst of the ordered, purposed walk of life, we were found wondering. Wondering, wondering in the desert. Lost, with no destination to be found. Though, no greater purposed people had the world ever known. No they were not lost, save for not knowing how wondrous they were. For God knew, and had no doubt, this walk could make them, could shape them. Though they lost sight, sight of the true walk. They were found wondering.
