church

It’s a great place to go when you need help or feel sad. Just let loose and ask for forgiveness if you need it.

efficient

Productive. The pinnacle of success in the world of manufacturing. A word that means to get things done, albeit at the cost of quality, so that the product is ready-for-use when the need calls. This word calls to mind the smell of oil and the sight of a smoking and monolithically tall chimney rising out of a steel mill set against a backdrop of a gray, cloudy sky.

bowling

It’s a weird thing to call a sport. There’s a lot of things people are skilled in and we don’t call them sports. Why is rolling a ball at some pins any different? Community shoes is a terrible idea. I don’t understand the point of the game or the kind of person who wants to play it.

A play at a theater people standing in tights. he feels quite uncomfortable sitting there as he has always considered himself a manly man. But he does these things to please her. As she has done so much for him.

sound

So many words that permeate the very fabric of this existence. I hear them through the ringing and the pulsing of the waves. They flow effortlessly through the space around me, settling on a dust covered rotting flesh constantly shedding it’s decay. The words don’t move me, but sound, such a wonder.

Back and forth I sweep my broom. Dust bunnies scurry away. After making the disappear, I sweep my ceiling to rid it of those nasty spiderwebs.

library

The library is a place to read books, study for classes, and simply just relax. I spend much of my time there after class. I would like to be able to say that but I think I just lied. i did spend much of my time there but then I got a job..

A place where learning and knowledge are combined to give humans intellect and the ability to judge the world around them. A place of solitude and quiet contempt. Studying and Reading are both done here, as well as relaxing.

afraid

i’m afraid of being alone, i think at night sometimes about what it would be like if i had no one. just like people on the streets. you look at them sometimes and think what was so hard about their life that made them end up there. I seen a documentary about homeless people, and he asked some why the were on the streets, most liked being where they were. some were forced, some were mentally ill, and some were once like you or me, but recession hit and they lost their job, had no more income couldn’t afford to rent a house or apartment, and ended up on the street, where it was free!

towers

The towers fell, along with the hopes of America. It’s amazing how one event can color a decade of war and greed. I long for the days of freedom.

whether

It’s not just to do or not to do. It’s a question of why we do. Choice is key in life and it exercise is a privilege that many do not get to express.

dare

I would dare to take three thousand steps across burning hot sand if only there lay at the other end a chance of truth. If I could see one speck of that beauty from across the desert I would not hesitate to journey forth.

racket

I stomped my feet on the floor below. Every since that new neighbor moved in, all night every night has been nothing but noise and the sounds of partying. If it weren’t for the sounds of explosions and gunfire, I’d swear they were filming a snuff film nightly.

drifting

My eyes droop and are shocked open by loud vibrating tires. Attention wavers for a minute and I’m all over the sleepy lane.

ratings

The ratings were substantially low, but we saw GI Joe anyway. It was worth every penny; I knew what I was getting into, and needless to say I was absolutely for it. The special effects were over the top, the acting was way below par, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Popcorn and soda helped smooth the transition from person to moviegoer in an instant, and before I knew it I too was yelling for Joe.

dismissed

The bell rings. The children have mentally left minutes ago. They amble for the door, papers hanging out of binders, rolled in hands, and stuffed into spiral notebooks. I smooth my shirt and wait for the next batch.

The sudden smile she gave me made every arduous effort exerted worthwhile. That blast of happiness I get each time she feels she is loved is what I’ll live for. Her happiness is my happiness.

loss

One of the most painful realities in life is loss. Loss of love. Loss of opportunity. Loss of life. Loss of hope. Loss of dream. But what makes loss beautiful is the dawn of something new.

Is something I fear. Something that frustrates. Something small like a contact or an idea. Something huge like a loved one. Loss is never easy…unless it’s weight.

We went to see the gallery. Art’s finest hanging on the walls. Vivid colours and beautiful images. But I’m not surprised that my eyes are exclusively on you. Your beauty simply surpasses all of those around me.

butterfly

Butterflies in my stomach. I have been preparing for this for weeks. The candles, flowers, chocolates, songs, words, poetry- all set. All of it for you. All of it because I love you. All of it because I wish to make you feel loved and special everyday, but most especially today.

walls

The only thing that came between them was a wall higher than the risk that they both wanted to take. A wall so strong and and indestructible that seemed impossible to breach. But they found a way. Not by force, not by being cunning, but by being true, sincere and brave. Within a moment that wall succumbed to the love they shared and fought for. A love, undeniable, untouchable, and unstoppable. No amount of concrete can impede hearts acting as one.

Circles. Going round aimlessly. No beginning, no end. Where do we go from here? Should we end the beginning, or begin the end? Round and round and round. Not until love is found.

Nothing more sacred than love. Love that gives life to life. Love that makes everything worthwhile. Love that makes sacred what is ordinary.
