Izah watched from the underbrush as a malnourished white girl posed with a spear. She wondered if CosmoGirl was going to make spears a trend, if girls from England were going to buy pink-feathered spears like that one from the “strip mall.” The model jutted her hip as Izah spat on the ground, turning her back on the ridiculous scene.

third is pretty disappointing, You work so hard and suddenly your 2 behind the winner. Sure you get a bronze metal, but the gold was the goal. At least you didnt come in last. Last can be honorable is your overcame adversity to get there, but for the average, it burns as much as third.

He used a stencil to airbrush the dragon onto Cassie’s thigh. Its tail make a rude curl toward her labia. The paint was lime-green, trashy, and she wished it was permanent.

We locked her in the freezer when she told us the truth. At first she said only “No please, I do not know nothing of about a dead bird” in her misshapen Portuguese. But we took and took, and she didn’t mind the cold.

He was much too tall for his own good. His skin was too pale and his teeth were too sharp. He had to crawl on his belly, it was the only way. With dead flies and flags, he crawled on his belly. He never spoke clearly, only in babbles of sighs. He never realized what he was. He only knew he was much too tall.

I don’t even know what this means. Is it a shape? I think my face is oblique. I would go look in my dictionary if I had time but oh well! Oblique it is …..

I saw a lamb at the parade yesterday, and it was the most beautiful lamb I’ve ever seen, it was black, orange and purple, with white stripes. Eating pizza on a table.

Flailing my arms in excitement because it was the first time I have seen that beautiful face in five years. I was also flailing my arms in sadness because my heart was mended with time away from you. This reunion has me flailing in confusion because I do not know what will come, if my feelings for you will resume where they left off, or if they will be turned into anger or resentment, or if I will now begin to feel a surge of nothingness.

I wonder if vampires get cavities from drinking blood? Do they go to the dentist? I think i would worry about biting myself if I had vampire teeth. Also, human teeth stain yellow…I wonder if vampire teeth get red stains.

Camera’s are great but I don’t see much of a point to them. I’m serious why take pictures when you can just enjoy the moment? They are only really good for art and the likes.

It’s flown by a million times
Bugging my brain, //
Leave me be

They’re bugging your mind it’s
In the walls
on the floor
Binoculars peering into your window. Your tin hat
Peering into your skull
Scuttling beneath the censors
Like an ant on the pavement

the view extending undendingly in all directions scavenging the landscape for untouched space to fill and fall upon like heavy lead. It’s open and heavy.

“I hate to be an alarmist, but I don’t think this is going to make it.” She surveyed the tottering structure with furrowed brow. The piles of garbage were about to fall over. Why did it cost so much to go to the dump?

She loved the combination of sweet and salty. That colorful shell, begging to be organized, admired, shining in the light. The crunch, the crackle of the bag. As she bit into it, the salt exploded into her mouth, tasting better than any lover she ever had. Pretzel M&Ms. Better than sex.

Everything your greedy eyes pilfer becomes yours and yours alone. This cloud, shaped like an elephant; this stick-figure woman; this shoe hanging from a telephone wire, that baby’s five-toothed simper. All yours, because YOU have seen them. Because they are YOUR discoveries, bagged and claimed.

The persistence of that little girl is more of a plague than anything the Old Testament could have ever cooked up. I’m not sure why they always limited plagues to storms, insects, and the wrath of God.

The roof was slick with rain, but Johnny lifted me without a second thought. I waited for us to bowl over, to scream under the white-hot almost moon, but his feet never slipped.

I am locked up. I feel locked up. It hasn’t been this bad in years. I am hurting. The kind of hurt that makes you want to dig your nails into your arms and makes your breath go so fast it makes your head spin.

I was tired of being embraced like a child about to cry. No one looked me in the eyes anymore; I was starved for touch, for fingers in my hair and hands on my back.

I was tired of being embraced like a child about to cry. No one looked me in the eyes anymore; I was starved for touch, for fingers in my hair and hands on my back. Not the faux-mother hugs that punctured me like a stuffed animal worn from adoration.

In third grade, I read the book “Loser” by Jerry Spinelli. The protagonist, Zinkoff, threw up on his teacher’s sacred chalkboard eraser. I really miss this book.
