the aryan soldier ran from speed to speed as if he were a car and his legs were wheels. He trampled old rubbish bins and scraped his knees on shrubbery. The bullets being fired did not hit him or help him but rather penetrate his soul with their clang.

The sound of voice cannot be heard behind these ears. In fact, the only vibrations they feel is the distant tremor of a heart’s echo. If there is a god, I’m sure he won’t find me. If there isn’t, good riddance.

The quacking was driving me insane but I had to smile anyway just so Sandy wouldn’t know.
“What now Shawn?” she asked.
“I’m sorry, could you shut up?!”
If she knew I wasn’t talking to her she certainly hid it well.

The old man was a senile one. His eyes never lit up more than a lamp and there was usually a match involved. The dog he’d grown to despise was his only friend and with it he guarded the gates of hell, he imagined. In reality he guarded trash. Other people’s garbage had become his empire.
