We have pals, buds and chums. We also have dudes (for buds), guys (for chums) and, for some, we have palettes. Not quite a pal, but someone you remember well.

In the continuum of time, we have a covering, an umbrella if you will, that we know is there. It’s our lifespan. We are shielded from the vagaries of the universe because we are under the umbrella that is as wide as our life is long. We can see it from side-to-side (mostly) and we feel protected from the great unknown of space, that infinite maw that would swallow us and leave no trace. After that, we don’t know what comes down next.

Repeat. Defeat. Concrete. Discreet. It’s all in the sound, in an odd sort of way. So, give your words feet and hit the concrete spreading truths discreet that others will repeat – don’t give in to defeat.

“Please have a seat.” Why is that a repeat, that have a seat? We all know what to do, don’t your? Why say the phrase that we’ve heard all our days when we all know what to do? Let me have a seat and think about that.

He had a muse. It was his cat, “Mews,” which she often said. Her whimsical antics amused him no end and, in the poetry of her motions, he found a garden of ideas. He could see the world in her attempts to amuse him.

The bow was pulled taut. The string quivered. His stomach growled. He released the string. The arrow flew straight and true. It struck it’s prey. It bowed its head … and died. Lunch!
