The man played the accordion as he gleefully walked down the side walk. Snow was falling and his breath was visible in the freezing air. He had a big smile and his music was jubilant and joyful. I knew the song and hummed along as I passed him. He made my day.

Her eyes twinkling, sparkling even, in the moonlight. I held her hand tight in front of everyone present. I held my head high so she would be as proud as I was to be with such a beautiful woman. Everything I ever wanted is right next to me. I’ll be sure to never take her for granted.

Bland days that never seem to change. Monotony just sinking in as a normal part of life, even if that contradicts all that I want from it. It’s getting harder to stand little to no change. If only I could see life from a child’s eyes with their wide eyes and enthusiasm.

The lilies in the field just blow with the soft wind. The two of us sat, holding hands in the serene paradise. The sun was setting and even though it was quiet, nothing needed to be said. Everything was just perfect.

At dusk, the masks come out and everyone has darkness to shroud their true nasty monster forms. They play tricks and snack on the innocent and helpless. Taking advantage of everything, they make the world lose it’s purity. As the sun starts to show itself, the masks go on with no time to spare.

The messy colors seemed mixed and scattered on the paint palette. Her brown hair was in a braid and she had streaks of paint on her face here and there. She was wearing one of my plaid flannel long sleeve shirts, with the sleeves rolled up. She finished a painting of a princess from a far away land. But in that moment with that innocent smile on her face, I knew she was the only princess I ever needed.

Her gown was astounding to me, even in the low light. The way she moved so gracefully through the room with each step. She took my breath away, but no matter what, she would never love me. And one day or another, I would have to accept that fact.

I beckon ye to sing with me, the songs of ye olden days. To sing along to spread music and joy across the land. I beckon ye to come sing along to spread holiday cheer and be merry.

Sneaking down the hall, looking through the crack of her door. Light was flooding from her room into the small hall as she took sneaky steps into the silent home. She was getting ready to look for her Christmas presents while her parents slept. But she wasn’t quite an expert, as she got caught.

Return, come back. Give me one last goodbye kiss. Give me one more minute to stare into your eyes, to glance at your smile. One last second in your warm embrace, one last second to be in your arms. One last chance to whisper, “I love you.” But it’s too late, you’re already gone. I wish you could return.

I walked out into the small kitchen, morning sun flooding in through the window. At the center of the table he left flowers for me today. It was the perfect centerpiece to that dull room. It brightened up the room, and my day.

Take me anywhere,
so we can do anything.
As long as you’re there with me.
You’re the apple of my eye,
my cup of tea.
As long as you brighten my day
with your smile and funny words.
I will always care for you,
even if you never know how much
I love you.

She stepped through the crowd, making her way under the disco ball in the middle of the dance floor. Her dress was stunning, even breath-taking. She had curly chocolate brown hair and crystal blue eyes. Her dress was green with ribbon and lace. She looked so sweet and innocent, like an angel. She seemed to be dancing with a few friends, but not with just one person. I asked my date, just a friend I came with to excuse me. I lifted my dress and made my way to her, through the crowd. “Madam, you look amazing. May I have this dance?” I asked her. She smiled and we danced the night away.

Rules are put in place by one who rules to keep their people in order. Without rules, what would keep anyone from killing that guy everyone hates or stealing that car from that rich guy who always brags?

Put my iPod on shuffle to escape the monotony. To escape repetition. To experience the new. To get the inspiration I’ve looked over. All from my iPod.

Hearts hearts, full of love.
At the mention of love, we think of hearts.
Some think of the heartbreak of a break up.
I think of the love that will not be returned from the one I call my best friend.
But maybe to some, it means heart disease.
Maybe to some, it means a painful heart attack.
Pain and love.
All from one word.

Life, existence. What does it mean to you? Does your existence mean love? Does it mean friendship? You must have some sort of goal. Or else you’re just waiting for it to stumble upon you. But why would you wait for someone to knock on the door to open when you can just open the door and see them sooner?

The two were the best of friends. Maybe even in love. But they were too far apart. And no matter how many phone calls or online chats. One would never be quite as satisfied as she wanted to be. To see the other in real life and be able to smile or laugh together. Distance divided them.

He made me put on a stupid blindfold as we drove through town. I had no clue what was happening. But then again, this what I loved him for. He was so romantic and spontaneous. He opened my door and led me onto a spot with uneven ground. I could hear the waves, so I could tell we were at the beach. He took off my blindfold, got on one knee and proposed. And I accepted. Everything was perfect on that salty, sandy beach.

He honestly didn’t mean to kill her. But the way she slapped their child, he couldn’t help but do the same to her, forgetting the knife in his hand. His ex wife lay dead on the floor. With only a sponge to clean up the blood of someone he once cared so deeply about, who’s memory will be smudged with the bloodshed of her last moments.

The little boy was playing with his friends…. But when their ball fell into the street, a car was speeding down the avenue toward him…. And an older girl pushed him out of the way. His older sister, actually. And she died right there, for her brother. Quite a sad event on the old avenue.

She just kept tripping. Her legs had bruises all over. And I could tell they weren’t just from falling. She seemed to do it on purpose. To hide that someone was actually abusing her. So I offered my hand to help her up, and became her friend. As soon as we got close, I asked her to tell me. Tonight, I just saved her life. She’s now getting some help and her father no longer has custody. She will be my next door neighbor tomorrow.

Adrenaline rushed through my veins like a speedy subway. I was cowering in a corner of an unfamiliar house, with my little brother under my arm. I covered him with my body, but it felt like no use to these ruthless soldiers. I promised my mom I’d try to protect him when she died, but every day, it seems like I’m going to break that promise. After there had been minimal sounds for about an hour, I stood up and looked around. Lots of blood, ruins, bodies, and destruction. Like usual. There were a few people alive, cowering, but no soldiers it seems. One more day alive. The rest of our lives to go.

Everyone marveled at him. He was perfect, seemingly. But to me, he was just some arrogant guy with muscles and okay eyes. I sat in the corner drinking my water as everyone else seemed to watch him lift weights. ‘Oh please…’ I thought with a roll of my eyes. But when our eyes met, I saw a longing in his eyes. Almost as if some force was trying to tell me he loved me. And now, tomorrow, I’m going to walk down the aisle to him.

I stare out of the glass on the door. The rain just keeps pounding onto the parking lot. I huff a breath of air onto it and it goes foggy. But it quickly fades. I quickly grab my umbrella for protection and try to clumsily open it as I push the door open. I get outside with my umbrella situated before locking the door and starting my journey. Here I come world.

Your eyes are blue as the sea. Your hair is a dark mahogany. I almost get lost in your intense stare, as I glide my fingers over your skin as soft as silk.

Another loss. I sink deeper and deeper into the recesses of my mind where I can try to work out the depressing thoughts… Maybe then I will feel whole again.

The words you keep spewing seemed fine at first. But then it just seemed to gnaw at me. It was like all of your lies just turned to poison…..

I think it would be such a cool power to be able to transport things or people with your mind. Just imagine the possibilities.
