Daddy laid the level on the table and explained how the kitchen floor was tilted. It made me think about how the earth was tilted. Then I wondered if the tilt of the earth balanced the table.

working as a secretary was the strangest job i ever had. Big Bill gave me a hundred bucks any time he felt like it and gave me his cadillac to drive around running stupid errands for him. Did he want others to think I was his trophy secretary?

gunning the car engine was a big mistake that day. I ended up stranded in the middle of nowhere with a blown head gasket. At that point I wished I’d not been so hasty and thought I was so cool

I have a good friend who is British. She’s a cyber friend. I just spent all night emailing back and forth with her. I wonder if we ever meet if we will even like each other. Best not to tempt fate, my mother used to say.

I found it, the signs use to say, they were all over the place, everywhere you looked. No one knew what they meant, even on big billboards! Then one day I learned it was Christian advertising. Hmmm. What an odd marketing strategy.

i lived on the street they called the triangle because that is exactly what it was, it was just as creepy as the Bermuda Triangle. I tell ya, because no matter what toys we played with always disappeared into the space called the triangle park.
