ceiling

The ceiling was crawling with bugs. Worst nightmare, and that was the point, wasn’t it. Torture wouldn’t be anything without worst fears. Okay. I’m breathing now. They’re bugs. They’re not even poisonous ones, I don’t think. They don’t want to kill me, after all. They want something from me and they think torture will wear me down.

loading

I have been loading my mind with so many things that have been bombarding my life lately. Life is full of so many things that come up last minute that make it hard to deal with. I wish I would load my heart with the love of God

sealed

I wondered what was in the sealed envelope on the table. It was labeled, “secret.” I am so curious by nature, that I picked it up several times and put it back. I knew it wasn’t for me… or was it? I tried to hold it up to the light and look inside, but I had no luck.

contribute

I think everyone in the world needs to feel as though they contribute to society. That they have purpose in the world. Otherwise, depression sets in….we fee like we have no value. No self-worth in life. What’s the point? We all need to feel as though we contribute to something. As though we are needed in this world.

sandcastle

A beautiful sculpture of something real that takes you away somewhere delightful and peaceful and reminds you of peace and beauty before it gets washed away by a powerful force of God’s creation. :)

disciple

A follower of Jesus. There were 12 of them. Too many names to remember, but a few are John, Peter, Simon, Judas, Paul, Joseph…they are devoted and loving followers of someone who they greatly believe in.

genetics

The little girl looked at her daddy and noticed she didn’t look like him. And she looked at her mommy and realized that she sorta looked like her. So she kept wondering why she didn’t look like daddy. The next day she saw the mailman and realized she looked a lot like him.

intent

I already had this question before so why must I have it again. It makes me lose my motivation to write anything meaningful. I have no such intent on writing about intent. Why on earth do I have the same word? What did I do to deserve such a thing. What the hell, man

But i think that is ok.

despite

despite his best intentions, she refused to date him, she said it was better to stay friends. Leave it alone, don’t rock the boat.
So, despite her protestations he kept on calling and calling and eventually started following her around the town.
Enough was enough, she called in the Mounties. They sat him down and had a nice little chat.
In the end, not being able to have her, he shot himself and died.
His obituary read:
A very brave man who served his country and loved his family but despite all the support from friends and family he just could not adjust to civilian life.

asthma

asthma (sounds like AZ_MUH) is not a very pleasant thing to have. it is very hard to breath and can effect many people. Asthma is when you can’t breath very well, sometimes you have sinus trouble and what not… there are different medicines to help with asthma.. one in which you carry around with you and another is a nebulizer.

dismissed

taken out, fired, rejected, left for someone else; missed out on greatness, stolen opportunities; being dismissed hurts, but sometimes it’s good…helps set different priorities

“You are dismissed.” says the teacher.
I rush out in a hurry because I don’t want to stay after class to talk about my “F”.
“Good bye!” I yell as I sprint towards my locker for the next class period.
I dodged that bullet!
It’s great being in middle school.

pressed

I leaned in pressed against the wooden rail, searching for the longing arms to be within. As last His lips pressed to my own, lingering, longing….to not let go a distance a sun fade, off. As the bus takes a turn for the worse,. as it made it all the way down the street.

shootout

At the old corral, the men stood looking at each other, their horses tired, dusty, and in need of water. The shootout was twenty years before, but not one of em could leave the town. They stll wore the guns that blazed on that long ago day.

Complaining and whining…your negative attitude is poison to my soul. I can’t keep you in my life while you try to bring me down to your dark pit. Climb out with me or let me go.

I thought I might be leaving, that the time had come to move on. But then I took a minute to see what I was going towards and realized I have what I want right here. I missed you before you even knew I was almost gone.
