This past weekend me and my family went to a family party in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My boyfriends cousins decided to take us to a haunted house and it was awesome, although I was so scared. I’m such a scary cat.

I do not have the power to instigate anything. Except maybe inconvenience. And unpleasant feelings. Mistakes. Bad behaviour. Arrest. Evil.

roses. roots twisting deep underground. runners. all connected.
i’m the sharpest thorn on your vine.
twisting and turning we’re all intertwined.
you’re connected to everything in the universe
by a million threads
but you’re still beautiful. you’re a rose. you’re your own.

The fierceful spikes rattled up and down with no certain order. His hands lead the entire group of musicians, everyone following those gentle powerfuul hands.

everything has an end. but that’s how things grow. Maybe it’s the idea that things will eventually end is what allows people to grow and change. Knowing there’s an end will only push you harder to ensure, in that moment, you’re doing anything and everything you can to take it in. and just live.

It was like there was a bridge between us that was rotting and cracked and broken in the middle, as if we’d been built on a tide of Victorian idealism and slowly crumbled in a lonely borough. The paintwork of what we’d had was peeled, and trying to cross it left crow shit on my shoes.

Headphones are a part of music. Music is a part of life. If you don’t have headphones, your screwed. God so loved the world he gave us people to make music and headphones.

I’m comfortable with him. Comfortable with everything we do, and everything we say, and everything we are. Comfort is knowing I can do no wrong as long as I am myself. It’s the cool breeze that passes over us as we lay on his basement couch. It’s the way his lips feel against my forehead as he says he loves me.

He picked up the dice carefully, taking a breath. Alright. It had been a good night so far, somehow, the odds have been in his favour since about six o’clock. He shook the dice a little, glancing to his left and giving an easy smile to the woman standing near him. “Hey little lady, how about some good luck?” He winked, holding the dice up to her. She rolled her eyes, putting her hand on her hip, but leaned in, blowing on the dice. He grinned, shaking them up some more. Alright, it was now or never. He rolled them between his hands one last time, before taking a breath and throwing them out onto the table. He just hoped lady luck was still watching over him tonight.

Providing new organs, should her Original’s fail. That was her purpose. Her function. That’s why she was kept in a tiny cell, strapped to a hard bed. Waiting. Waiting to be harvested, waiting for termination. She was spare parts, created on the Farm. Cattle. Organ cattle. Only, that wasn’t what she wanted to be anymore. It was time to fight.

“Hard to port!!” The Captain yelled urging his men, their black flags being raised. The command echoed through the ship as the men turned. Terrian raced up from below deck. Were they being attacked?! He climbed up to the crows nest, searching for Lan. She was there, watching out ahead. “What is it?” He asked her, grabbing her spy glass.
“Nuthin’ good, Princess.” She growled. He peered through the glass, his heart stopping for a moment when he saw the Royal Seal, adorning the enemy ship. His Brother’s seal. He had been found.

She was there, crouched in the bushes with a bow in her hand, motioning for me to be quiet. She heard movement, took aim, and shot. Perfect. We ate well that night.

She was a secretary. NOT a bloody weapons dealer. She had never held a gun in her life. Never had the desire to do so either, yet here she was. She ducked behind the wall as the explosion rocked the entire street. The man beside her whistled happily, adrenaline pumping through his veins. “Hell YEAH!” He shouted, watching the body parts fly. She pushed up her glasses. “Ready to go Miriam?” He asked. She nodded silently. She was never ready for this. They ran around the corner, firing into the massive Horde of Infected. The flesh was peeling from their bodies as they ran towards them, looking for somewhere to sink their teeth. Miriam held her gun firmly as she fired into them. She was never ready to deal with the Infected. But she had to admit she was starting to enjoy the sound of bullet meeting flesh. What had become of her?

Keeton stared at the platinum blonde girl he had just saved from nearly being crushed by a bus. Everything about her was…colourful. She had on bright pink shorts with a neon yellow shirt and a blue sweater. There was a bucket hat on her head, and a polka dot umbrella in her right hand, despite the sun shining down on them. Her arms were filled with multi coloured bracelets, going nearly to her elbows. In a small town like this, she stood out, and that wasn’t a good thing.
“I’m sorry, I should be more careful where I’m going.” she said in an airy voice.
“You think?” He voiced as the thought entered his head. “Just be more careful next time.” He sighed.
“That’s the thing about a new town, you never know when something exciting is going to happen.” Exciting? He thought. God, this girl really was insane. Time to leave. He just gave her a nod, and headed off.
“Wait! Your name!” She called
“Keeton.” He said over his shoulder as he walked away.
“I’m Amira!!” She shouted back, waving and a huge grin on her face. “It was nice to meet you!” She called, but he pretended he couldn’t hear. Best to stay away from someone like that. Yet..he was curious.

“WHAT THE HELL CALEB!” Jeremy shouted as he hurried to scoop the water out from their small fishing boat. God this had started off as a quiet morning. Then a bullet entered their boat, and things got out of hand from there. Caleb aimed his gun towards the shore, firing a quick shot. “Just keep us from sinking Jeremy, I have a clear shot!”
“At WHAT?!” Jeremy shouted.
Apparently there were things Caleb had failed to mention.

It felt like fire running through him. The wine barely hit his throat before it began to spread. His hand shook, the sound of the goblet falling to the ground echoing through the hall. The servant who had handed him the wine screamed when she saw what happened. “SIRE!” She cried as a hand went to his chest. His mind was spinning as his breath came in short ragged breaths. He couldn’t focus on anything except the pain. It went from his throat all the way to his fingertips and toes. He couldn’t escape it. It consumed him completely as he fell to the floor.

She swallowed nervously, stepping onto the transport pad. Henry slung the gun he was toting onto his back, and starting to fiddle with the controls. “Henry…” she said nervously.
“Don’t worry Brooke. If my calculations are correct, this will get us out of the city. We can get away from the Infected. Hopefully have a better chance of finding Safe Haven.” he said, running a hand down his face, smearing the dirt that was covering him.
“And if you’re wrong?” she asked, still watching the man carefully.
“Then we’ll land right in the middle of the city, and will both die a very painful death.”
“..You had best get those coordinates right, Henry.”

Caleb rubbed his hands together, trying ward off the cold night air. It was freezing out here. He didn’t understand what she was so freaking happy about. Snow. How wonderful. But the girl beside him was smiling brightly looking up at the night sky. “I don’t know how people can see sights like this, and not believe.” She sighed, sticking her tongue out and catching a snowflake.
“I wish I could see what you see, Astrid.” He sighed, looking up at the falling snow.
“I wish you could too” she smiled, turning to him. “It’s wonderful.”

He stood on the station platform, staring out into nothingness as he leaned against one of the pillars. The newspaper around the bouquet of roses in his hand crinkled as his fingers tightened around them. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He had to be strong. She had made her choice. He heard the train whistle and opened his eyes, looking to see the engine steaming towards the platform. Slowly he turned, one foot in front of the other, tossing the roses in the bin on his way past. He didn’t look back. He wouldn’t look back again.

The radio is a good way to connect with the world around you. It is how i keep up with news and music. It helps connect everyone in the community and its just overall really funny at times. Unless its Glenn Beck. That shit is boring.

despair is when you’re in trouble. uhmm, in despair like stranded on a desert island, not like in a sticky situation with a boyfriend. you’re basically struggling to continue unless someone helps you out. like a difficulty i guess it could be.

Amira pushed up her sunglasses as he watched the red headed boy talk to the blonde at the coffee table. Keeton. She missed him, more than anything. But if Keeton ever saw her again, he might remember. And that couldn’t happen. Amira was a danger to him. That’s why she had Skylar erased his memory. Made him forget. Made him want to be with Leah, not with her. She closed her eyes. Because it was for the right reasons, didn’t make it any less painful. If Keeton ever did remember, he would never forgive her.

Kat sighed, staring at the carpet. The bottle had rolled onto it, the clear liquid pouring out. This was going to stain. Perfect, this was the last thing she needed. Grabbing a cloth she knelt down and began to clean it. What had happened to her? Five years ago she had been on the road to such a bright future. Then Jason was framed for murdering Simone. That’s when it changed. When her best friend died, and her other best friend disappeared from her life. Gone, without a goodbye. She hadn’t lasted long in the University before she dropped out. Now she drank all day, and spent her nights working as a cashier in some grocery store. She honestly couldn’t even remember the name. Such a glamorous life she led.

My little brother loves dinosaurs. They’re green and ferocious. I doubt he’ll ever scare anyone though. His favorites were the ones that could fly or bite hard. Also, more things he’ll never do. It’s a shame. The things we love are the things we can’t have. I guess that’s how we all are. That’s life.

Sam sighed as he tossed his lunch bag onto the wooden table. He grabbed a cloth, and wiped the soot from his face. His mother entered the room, and sighed. “Did you have to use a clean cloth, Sam?” “Sorry.” He gave her a small smile, tossing it beside his bag.
The door burst open suddenly, a girl standing there, panting. Sam blinked.
“SAM! Thank goodness you’re alright! I heard the alarms for a cave in at the mine, I was worried sick!”
“I’m fine.” He smiled a little. She nodded, going over to give him a hug. “Clover, your dress…your father will be furious. I’m covered in soot. He’ll know we were together.”
“I don’t care. You’re my friend, and I was worried.” She muttered. He looked down at her, and smiled softly. It figured the girl he had been in love with for years was from one of the wealthiest families in the town, while his family lived in the slums, barely managing to scrape by on the wages he made at the mine. “Oh…Sam, I met someone today. I think he might need some help.” She pulled him outside quickly. “Sam…this is Gabriel. Gabriel, this is my friend, Sam. He’ll be able to help.” Gabe looked up, and gave Sam a bright smile. Sam held out a hand, shaking Gabriel’s firmly. Neither boy knew this would be the beginning of a very, very long journey.
